Why are any of these guys even in a #1 contendership match? Fish and Castle have perfectly legitimate claims to a title shot already, while Lethal hasn't won a single match since he lost his last title shot.

I'm going to guess Lethal is in it because he beat Kyle the last time they wrestled 1 on 1 and it's more of a "whoever wins gets a shot first" thing rather than just 1 of them gets a shot

But Lethal beating Kyle shouldn't count towards getting a title shot for those purposes because Lethal was the champion at the time. It's just the sort of thing that REALLY annoys me that they have been doing more and more of lately, where wins and losses don't matter and they'll throw you into a #1 contendership match for no reason. The Briscoes getting this tag title shot they're getting soon is by far the worst example of it.
As for the "winner gets his shot first" thing, if that's the case then they need to do a much better job of explaining it (and plus having one of these guys do a job before their title shot that doesn't enhance any storyline in any way is silly).
