BRM Reviews the 3/1/2017 NXT

PATRICK CLARK vs. SEAN MALUTA- 2.5/10
They did a good job fitting as much as they did into such a short match without it feeling like they were rushing things.
SAnitY PROMO- good. They’re out in the forest somewhere or something. Don’t worry. It works. EY and Nikki Cross did all of the talking, and Nikki’s only line was “otherwise we’ll have to burn it all to the ground.” See. Randy Orton is setting a bad example so now others think arson is okay.
NXT WOMEN’S TITLE MATCH: Asuka(c) vs. Peyton Royce (w/Billie Kaye)- 6/10
Royce works the arm but Asuka overcomes it and fights back to get the win.
POST-MATCH SEGMENT- good
Billie Kaye jumps Asuka from behind and the Evil Aussies work on Asuka’s arm some more until Ember Moon comes out and makes the save, taking them both out. Ember and Asuka have a stare-down. Asuka came off like a bit of a jerk here, which I think was intentional because this match will work a lot better if people see Ember as more of a babyface.
REGAL ANNOUNCES THAT WE’RE GETTING ROODE VS. OHNO FOR THE TITLE IN TWO WEEKS- cool
NXT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Authors of Pain(c) (w/Paul Ellering) vs. DIY- 7/10
A great match ending in a disappointing DQ when the damn Revival interfere, saving the belt for the Authors of Pain. We got a brief skirmish between the Authors of Pain and The Revival, ending in a HUGE pop when The Revival hit one of the Authors of Pain with the Shatter Machine.
A good episode of NXT.
