Ring of Honor ushered in a new era today with the official launch of its developmental system. Moses Maddox and Jasper Kaun both signed three-year deals to become the first two ROH developmental talents.
Maddox and Kaun began their training with MCW Pro Wrestling in Maryland, an affiliate of ROH, and continued their training at the ROH Dojo.
Late last year, Maddox and Kaun participated in an ROH recruitment combine, where they caught the eyes of ROH officials. Their showing at the combine led to them being signed.
The next recruitment combine takes place on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 at the ROH Dojo in Baltimore.

This is basically word salad. How are these "recruitment combines" any different from the things they used to do? Also, ROH's dojo- or really Delirious' training at all- has not produced anyone of any real note, so I'm not optimistic.

i take it the only difference is that these guys will be getting paid to train, while the Dojo before, you had to pay to be there, right?

It looks that way. Which basically means that ROH is paying people to do something that ROH used to be having people pay them for, which is actually worse than TNA because at least TNA wasn't turning a revenue stream in a negative one.

now they get to choose who they train, that is far more valuable than getting money by people like cheeseburger

I just don't see what value ROH's training has, seeing as how the biggest name they've produced is Cheeseburger, and he's pretty much the only one they've produced since Delirious took over the school (not that Bryan or Punk or Aries had much better track records, but at least Pelle Primeau and Rhett Titus and Girzzley Redwood were pretty good).
