With a loaded up go-home show featuring several appearances by wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown, NXT managed to squeak out a win for the first time in the Wednesday Night Wars.

NXT averaged 916,000 viewers, up 22 percent from last week and the best number the show has done against AEW. They did still trail in the important 18-49 demo with a 0.30 rating. That was up 20 percent from last week and tied the November 6 episode for NXT's second-best number since the start of the wars.

AEW Dynamite trailed with 893,000 viewers but had a 0.39 rating in the 18-49 demo. That was good for eighth on the night in cable. NXT finished 13th. AEW was down nine percent in the demo and seven percent overall in terms of viewers from last week's post-Full Gear episode.

As per usual, Dynamite beat NXT in every demo except for persons over 50, where NXT had a bigger than usual advantage of 0.40 to 0.29. It's logical to assume it did better in that demo due to the influx of Raw and SmackDown performers who would be more familiar to that older audience.

It was advertised in advance that wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown would be on NXT. At the end of Monday's Raw, Triple H cut a promo hyping that there would be an "open door policy" last night.

AEW was strongest with males 18-49. They had a 0.52 to 0.39 advantage over NXT, though that was closer than the two shows usually are in that demo.

Yes, but mostly unannounced. I'm kind if hoping that quarter hour will come out and it will turn out that Revival vs. UE made a big difference.

Unannounced? They closed RAW pretty much saying "WATCH NXT PLEASE, WE"LL BE THERE". And it's still only old people watching

I found this

Yeah, but with the way this sh*t works it also could have been Carmella and Mojo Rawley.

The good news for both is that neither peak was at a crossover segment, so the numbers (other than NXT's overrun) are real.

which I wouldn't exactly give the pops to anyone in the main roster, just the allure of an 'invasion' and see who shows up.

What are you referring for 'crossover'? nxt/wwe crossover?

Crossover as in the "top of the hour" segments, when you get people from other channels who are tuning in by mistake.

If the allure of an "invasion" still appeals to people at this point (especially in WWE), I would be quite surprised.
