Last night's SmackDown on FOX averaged 2.547 million viewers, up eight percent from last week.

The show opened with 2.555 million viewers in hour one and held its audience better than most weeks, staying virtually the same at 2.539 million viewers for the second hour.

FOX finished last among the major networks in terms of total viewers, with ABC drawing better-than-usual numbers for its coverage of the Democratic presidential debate and CBS doing its usual strong numbers for its serial drama programming.

In the 18-34 demo, SmackDown fell 10 percent for a 0.45 rating. In 18-49, the show was up seven percent to a 0.75. SmackDown beat everything on network TV except for the debate coverage in the demos.

Both the viewership and 18-49 demo numbers were the second-best SmackDown has done since the November 22 Survivor Series go-home show.

Last night's show featured Goldberg making his return to SmackDown. He appeared via satellite and challenged Universal Champion "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for Super ShowDown.
