Had a cup of coffee in WWE?

IIRC, Michael Hayes heard about the Gordy comparisons and immediately wrote him off.

Calling a tryout or an indy bringing a guy in for two matches "a cup of coffee" in a promotion shows a lack of understanding of either what the phrase means, or what a tryout is and how indies work. The tryout thing is particularly ridiculous, as if you're getting a tryout then you are, by definition, not in the company.

Sorry for caring about the English language.
Don’t talk to us Brits about your version of the English language and calling it “English” it should be called “Simplified English”

You’ve removed letters from colour, favour, flavour etc..

You’ve taken perfectly good words and made them longer but “simpler”

Pavement = “Sidewalk” ...because you need to know where is safe to be walking.
Horse riding = “Horseback Riding” ... because what? Americans rode into battle on the horse’s belly? Clinging on to the tails?
Glasses = Eye glasses ... where else would you wear them? On your feet?
The game Squash? = “Racketball” so you could figure out what you’re supposed to within the game.
Even a simple “bin” becomes “waste paper basket”.... so you know what to put in it!

Don’t tell me you care about the English language, when you don’t speak it 😂😂😂😂
