Sami Zayn will be with the WWE for the foreseeable future. Fightful Select is reporting that Zayn has re-signed with the company and that the deal is for multiple years. The report indicates Zayn was quiet about his contract status, but that both sides wanted to get something done.

Zayn is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and has been a staple act in the middle of the card on Smackdown. Zayn will be a participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match on January 29.

Thought the same with Steen, but from what I've heard, they're getting huge contracts, the type of contract you later realize is too much for how you're using the wrestler, so you release them

WWE has used Steen A LOT better than Sami. He has always been at the IC/US Title level or higher. Steen has also been less outspoken about things like Saudi Arabia. You'd have thought that with a well-paying alternative (that gives you a lighter schedule, to boot) that Sami would have been out the door.

Steen is getting 7 figures now, as is likely for Zayn.

But don’t get too comfy with those numbers. From a wrestlers point of view, you’re only ever signed in to a 90 day contract.
