BOTB Wrestler to never make it

Post by cero2k » Dec 29th, '10, 10:47

Who is the best wrestler that no matter how awesome he is, never made it to the big leagues (WWE, WWF, WCW, TNA)??? Or at least, hasn't made it yet...

By her own choice, MsChif.
Reality TV is faker than "fake" wrestling!

Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero; I really don't understand why they haven't been picked up by TNA or WWE by now. I heard that Claudio was signed to a developmental deal with the WWE back in 07, but he asked for his release and returned to ROH not long after.

Also, the Briscoes should have been picked up by now. They are as good if not better than MCMG AND Gen Me....

two, actually. He, Strong, and Shelley hung out in TNA in 05 for a while too. I remember bc I remembered seeing Roderick Strong and my interest in him was what led my friend to showing me ROH stuff....

Yeah but he was a jobber, so I'm not counting that.

He was an occasional guy for a while. He wans't being pushed, but he definitely wasn't a jobber. And after that, he was on his way to being pushed and fueding with Shelley during the Kevin Nash Invatational. He would have been pushed more if he hadn't gotten in trouble in early 2006 for staying through a storm at an ROH show Unscripted II when there was a TNA PPV the next night and TNA had asked all of their contracted talent (apparently it was pretty last minute, too), to skip the ROH show (I assume the same was done if their were any other indy shows TNA talent was working at) and get to Orlando ASAP. Aries and Roddy both showed up a few hours after the time when the wrestlers were supposed to be at the Impact Zone (although before the show started). Aries was suspended and got his push taken away, while Roddy was fired outright. Then Aries got in trouble the next year when TNA asked him to come and tape promos on what Aries thought was one of his off-days. While he was suspended, Aries asked to be released, so TNA let him go (this is why he was back in ROH so soon after Good Times Great Memories).

Agreed. The fact that he isn't just plain amazes me.

Evans would be great in WWE. He could team with Bourne again!

I was going through some old threads and this one caught me eye. What a difference 2 years makes!

Claudio is reigning US Champion
Hero is main roster bound in, I'd say, 6 months time at the most.
Austin Aries is a headliner in TNA
Moxley is in the middle of wrestling's biggest angle at the moment.

Davey Richards turned out to be a giant douche bag who I hope never makes it!
