After CM Punk came out to his theme from ROH last night along with the talk of people from ROH like KoW coming to the WWE, is it possible WWE is working with ROH?

Cult of Personality was not Punk's ROH Theme. He used it during the summer of Punk (a total of 6 shows... and I'm not sure that he used it at Punk: The Final Chapter, so it may be as little as five shows).

Punk's ROH theme is "Miseria Cantare- The Beginning."

It was done as a reference to the Summer of Punk. This is just WWE being smart. ROH has no rights to either piece of music.

I was informed that he did use that song in ROH, not for how long he used it but that he used it besides the AFI song which i knew about. So i figured it might WWE hinting at something, i also kinda wanna see a ROH invasion or at least a few people join Punk like KoW and maybe Colt. It could still be possible though, i mean they did mention ROH on WWE TV.

They mentioned it ONCE. If they were working together, they would have mentioned it more than once. This is stereotypical smarky reading too much into things.

Punk i think mentioned it during the "contract negotiations" with Vince before MITB as well. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part but they could do it.

Punk the Final Chapter was indeed Miseria Cantare, that was THE CM Punk theme.

I don't think they're working together. The KoW thing we've been hearing is exactly what it is, WWE is fetching talent from ROH. I'm pretty sure that's the main reason Claudio lost the PWG title last week, companies are getting ready to loose these guys to WWE.

I personally don't wanna see a ROH/WWE angle, invasion, whatever you wanna call it.

I wouldnt want them to do a WCW/ECW type of invasion because that sucked. More of a we're good at our jobs as wrestlers and we're here to show you because WWE is full of entertainers. They could even use that help boost ROH when they're back on TV.

that's the problem, it is never about boosting ROH, it's always about boosting WWE. Sure ROH will get some world wide notice, but i don't know if it's worth it.

I'm really hipster when it comes to ROH, i don't want WWE universe type of people to start saying shit about ROH cuz they're only doing "holds"

It makes the dumb marks realize these guys are athletes besides entertainers. WWE puts over ROH as wrestlers because they put wrestling above entertaining which some of the WWE guys either were not taught to or forgot about. Brings more wrestling to WWE while showcasing the ROH guys and gals before their tapings are shown.

Again thats all in my head, and i think it would work. It'd make WWE look good, it's not making WWE look bad. It's making ROH look good AND bringing wrestling back to the WWE and showing their crew can hang with ROH in the wrestling aspect which again they forgot how to.

Sure it makes ROH look bad. "They put wrestling above entertainment"- which implies that wrestling/what ROH does isn't entertaining.

They put wrestling above talking, they let their wrestling do more for them instead of coming out week after to complain and tell the world how good they are. They talk when they need to but they like to wrestle. Which causes WWE to cut down on their promo time and give the fans more wrestling.

It would be a beautiful angle, but I don't think WWE is interested in working intimately with any other company.

But it would be a funny thumb in the eye to TNA.

Rabs, from reading your posts, I hate to say that you sound like a mark who just starting watching ROH. Like I'm sorry, but everything you've said has little to no merit.

There's no way in my mind they're working together.

I think it'd be cool if they did something like they did for ECW when WWE allowed them to plug Barely Legal and take over RAW for a night; I think that'd be HUGE right around now (esp since WWE is solidly on top). In order for it to truly work, they'd have to have Cornette come on and shoot. Let Cole play King's old role as Nay-sayer, push the KoW like they did RVD, and then have Punk (one WWE champ) stand with the ROH guys, while Cena (the "other" champ) represents WWE. Do it in a strong ROH city like Philly or NYC (they just came from Chi-town)

I think that better question at this point is "how closely are ROH, PWG, and Evolve working?"

at least they're letting Steen continue his ROH feud in Evolve, don't know if he's done anything in PWG yet.

I don't know about that. Evolve might be them just booking the same character, but I think ROH and PWG might be.

For those who don't know, Steen had gone batsh*t insane in ROH and lost a mask vs. ROH career match against El Generico. Steve Corino (Steen's mentor), holds himself pesonaly responsible for ruining Steen's career and driving him insane, and thus has vowed to stop being an evil person, and to try to stop the younger generation from going wrong (AMAZING angle, by the way). Corino revealed that his "sponsor" is Jimmy Jacobs, another person who is recovering from an "addiction to evil." After a lot of debate, ROH let Jacobs continue to show up at Corino's side (they played it off as if the fans wanted to see Jimmy [they did], but that both ROH management and the ROH lockerroom didn't want him in the company), but said a firm "no" when Corino (against Jacobs' advice) wanted to bring Steen back, claiming that Steen, too had recovered.

Steen showed up, but ROH management made him leave. He the showed up later in the night, saving Corino from a beatdown, and Jim Cornette agreed to give him mic time. Steen (after building and playing things up perfectly) said "My name is Kevin Steen... and F*CK RING OF HONOR!" Steen then beat down both Jacobs and Corino before being chased off by security and the lockerroom, with Cornette shouting that Steen would never be seen in ROH again.

ROH management then made an announcement that Steen would no longer be mentioned by the company. They censored his name on the message board, and have changed his name to XXXXX in all of the title histories.

Steen then published the following letter on his website:

The next month, Steen hacked the ROH message board and made the following post, blasting ROH and praising PWG:

The next night, Steen won the PWG Title.

Three days later, at Evolve 9 (where one of the drawing points of the show was that Steen would be given an open mic), Steen showed up wearing a PWG shirt and called ROH "Ring of Horsesh*t." Steen then went on to say that, in retrospect, his problems really started when then-ROH Booker Gabe Sapolsky paired him with El Generico. And because Gabe built Evolve, Steen wants to destroy that, too.

I'm sure that ROH would have cleared it with PWG before using them in an angle, and I think that booking Steen the way they did in PWG plays into it.

this is what makes me think that EVOLVE could be in there too. If they follow up on this.
