Did you know Justin Roberts used to be a ring announcer for PWG?

2004 I know for sure. I think he did it earlier than that, too.cero2k wrote:lol, at first I was gonna ask who the hell is justin roberts?

I'm surprised.Big Red Machine wrote:Did not know this.
I don't really follow PWG that much, and certainly not its early years. I have previouslt explained my dislike for the promotion.Serujuunin wrote:I'm surprised.Big Red Machine wrote:Did not know this.
I missed it. How can you dislike PWG?Big Red Machine wrote:I don't really follow PWG that much, and certainly not its early years. I have previouslt explained my dislike for the promotion.Serujuunin wrote:I'm surprised.Big Red Machine wrote:Did not know this.
Honestly, that must have slipped through the cracks for me too. But still, you're our resident encyclopedia of wrestling so I'm sure you can understand my surprise.Big Red Machine wrote:I don't really follow PWG that much, and certainly not its early years. Hey hey what about me? Lol.Serujuunin wrote:Honestly, that must have slipped through the cracks for me too. But still, you're our resident encyclopedia of wrestling so I'm sure you can understand my surprise.
2011 has been a bit better, but my dislike of PWG stems from the "top-down" silliness. Meaning that we have serious events going on in the ring, but the show names and commentary makes it hard to take them seriously. I know it is weird. I can pick up individual shows and love individual matches and feuds (Hero vs. Human Tornado is one of my favorite feuds of all time) but the thing as a whole is hard for me to get into. 2011 has been better, though. I like characters and good stories, and PWG, at many times seems to be lacking those (or at least intriguing ones). I will give them credit where it is due. Feuds like Steen vs. Super Dragon, Hero vs. Tornado, Hero vs. Ryan, Ryan vs. CVE, and others have been great, but when you compare that to ROH or WWE or CHIKARA (or even CZW or Evolve, for what they do) it isn't even close.yourcrapsweak wrote:I missed it. I never said anything indicating otherwise lol. I like to think of you as the encyclopedia of anything indy wrestling, and BRM is the encyclopedia of ROH, TNA and WWE. Or at least, that's how it is in my head.yourcrapsweak wrote:Hey hey what about me? Lol.Serujuunin wrote:Honestly, that must have slipped through the cracks for me too.
