Live Results:

Sting vs. Roode in a Lumberjack match opens the show up

Sting wins in what was actually a pretty good match.

Bully Ray calls out Joseph Park. Bully calls the entire Park family cowards, which enrages Joseph enough to get him to jump the guardrail. The result of this is a match between the two at Slammiversary.

Sabin vs. Aries for the X-Division Title is up next.
Aries wins reversing the Cradle Shock into a roll-up. The crowd didn't pop at all for the Cradle Shock, and a very small pop for finish. Bunch of plants.

Taz will be taking Flair's place as one of the Gut Check judges.

Brooke Hogan will be coming out next. Oh joy.

Brooke and Dixie both say random nothings and Dixie talks about "Girl Power" and how much she loves the Knockouts.

Jeff won the voting will be given a title shot against Devon right now.
$5 says the Robbies run in.

And... BRM is up $5

James Storm video package leaves us with a cliff hanger about whether or not he will come back.

Joey Ryan Gut-Check segment is up next

Joey cuts a great promo but doesn't get the contract because Taz didn't like his promo. TNA is dumb.

AJ vs. Daniels is up. AJ wins but gets beaten down afterwards by Kaz and Daniels. Kurt comes out to make the save. Heels still come out on top.

Daniels orders a supposedly incriminating phone conversation to be played and Dixie orders them to cut to black.

Gut Check segment is up.

Al Snow says Joey Ryan looks he (Snow) and Aries had a love child.

Taz broke kayfabe.

I actually watched this one! The whole thing, even! I enjoyed it for the most part, more than I've enjoyed an Impact for at least a year!

-Didn't like them leading with the World Title Match, much less booking a title change to open the show - then not mentioning it for the rest of the show. This, especially considering the circumstances, should have rocked the foundation of the company.

-Brooke Hogan looks like a man in drag. Take a goooooood look. I think I saw an Adams Apple.

-Didn't like how most of the World Title Contenders where jockeying for a shot at the TV Title. I don't know what they were trying to accomplish (elevate the title?, elevate D Von?, elevate Robbie E?), but it didn't work. D Von looked like a fish in a barrel.

-I don't follow Independent Wrestling, so this is my first exposure to Joey Ryan. I liked him, a lot, but I think he serves as a great example why WWE sends even seasoned Indy guys to FCW to get them ready for their stage. Aside from needing some refining, I thought he was great and was bummed they didn't sign him. Although, the last part of that seemed very scripted, as if he might be back to torment Taz... and I will be waiting... and hoping...

Regardless, I'll probably look up more of his stuff. If anything his stint served as a great nudge to PWG, since everyone else curious about Joey will be finding him there.

-I loved Styles vs Daniels, but I always do. These two have the closest thing to a modern day "rivalry" that I can think of. They've been at each other for at least a few years.

Well this should up your enjoyment of the show even more: Roode vs. Sting wasn't a title match.

Lmao THAT explains a lot. I was really wondering wtf when they ran the longest reigning champ promo halfway through the show. Well, this goes to show how I usually watch TNA. I turn it on and skim for 30 minutes, and usually abandon ship after that, this one hooked me.

Are they live moving forward? I think that's what made the difference this time.

They are live throughout the summer, at least.
