ECW Hostile City Showdown (6/24/1994)- Philadelphia, PA

TOMMY DREAMER vs. HACK MYERS- 4/10

CHAD AUSTIN vs. DON E. ALLEN- no rating. 911 does a lot of chokeslams.

DOG COLLAR MATCH: The Tazmaniac vs. The Pitbull (w/Jason)- 5/10
There was a bit of confusion about the stip, as you could win by pinfall, or by touching all four corners consecutively, without the other guy touching any… but they stopped paying attention to that part at some point.

AFTERMATH- good. The other Pitbull returns and they attack Taz

THE BRUISE BROTHERS vs. MR. HUGHES & SHANE DOUGLAS- 5.75/10
Decent match with an extremely lame finish.

MR. HUGHES PROMO- decent… but it feels like it should have happened before the match.

SINGAPORE CANE MATCH: The Sandman (w/Woman) vs. Tommy Cairo (w/Peaches)- 3.5/10
In this match, the first person to take the cane down off of the pole is the winner. They do some moves, then Woman slides Sandman a cane from under the ring and he assaults Tommy Cairo with it. The ref decides to call the match a no-contest, even though the Sandman was the only one that cheated. WTF? After the match, Sandman canes Cairo and Woman canes Peaches.

THE PUBLIC ENEMY vs. TERRY FUNK & DORY FUNK JR.- 7.75/10
Great brawl. Oh. And Terry Funk hung Rocco Rock from a freakin’ BALCONY!”

ECW TV TITLE MATCH: Mikey Whipwreck(c) vs. Rockin’ Rebel (w/Jason)- no rating, good segment. Taz came out of this looking tough, and Jason’s faction got a lot of heat.

CACTUS JACK vs. SABU (w/Paul E. Dangerously & 911)- 6.75/10
Extremely disappointing for what it was billed as. This was supposed to be a match between the two craziest, most extreme guys on the planet, but it wasn’t even the craziest, most extreme match on this show. After the match, Foley hit 911 with a sick looking chair-shot, and we got a big brawl.

Overall, an okay show from ECW with a disappointing main event.
