NJPW G1 Climax 25: Day 11 (8/5/2015)- Iwate, Japan
MASCARA DORADA, HIROOKI GOTO, & MICHAEL ELGIN vs. SATOSHI KOJIMA, YOHEI KOMATSU, & YUJI NAGATA- 6/10
Fun opener. The highlight for me was Goto hitting Kojima with the Goto Sleep (my new mission in life is to get that name over).
JAY WHITE & TOMOAKI HONMA vs. BULLET CLUB (Cody Hall & Karl Anderson)- 6.25/10
CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii & Shinsuke Nakamura) vs. BULLET CLUB (Tama Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi)- 6.75/10
Went longer than I expected it to and was pretty good. Tama Tonga slapped the referee. There was no DQ for this.
KUSHIDA, CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN, & RYUSUKE TAGUCHI, vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, YOSHI-HASHI, & Gedo)- 5.5/10
The match was decent. This was one of those nights where the Rainmaker just looked like a lame clothesline.
G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Bad Luck Fale (w/Tama Tonga)- 5.5/10
Started off boring but got better towards the end.
G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Katsuyori Shibata vs. Toru Yano- 2/10
WHAT?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Is Toru Yano going to be main eventing the Tokyo Dome or something? Because guys who are main eventing the Tokyo Dome are usually the type of guys who get to beat both Tanahashi and Shibata in the same year.
G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Doc Gallows (w/Cody Hall)- 6.5/10
G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Togi Makabe vs. AJ Styles (w/Cody Hall)- 7.25/10
A little bit disappointing, considering how much I love both of these guys.
G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Tetsuya Naito vs. Kota Ibushi- 8.5/10
Awesome match with some spots that were both crazy and scary.
A good show from New Japan, but mostly on the strength on the main event. Ibushi might well be the MVP of the tournament so far.
