ROH Conquest Tour: Hopkins (4/25/2015)- Hopkins, MN

ARYEH DAIVARI vs. BOBBY FISH- 5.75/10
Daivari was a competent heel and Fish sold his knee very well.

FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL MATCH: Will Ferrara vs. Cheeseburger vs. Beer City Bruiser vs. Romantic Touch- 4.25/10
Why the hell was this even on the card? It was like a match with a bunch of pre-show guys that inexplicably went on second.
Kevin Kelly says that Cheeseburger doesn’t drink. I guess Kevin Kelly didn’t see Michael Bennett’s Bachelor Party.

MICHAEL ELGIN vs. CAPRICE COLEMAN- 6.25/10
Good stuff, aside from the one spinning wheel kick spot towards the end.

ADAM PAGE vs. ACH- 7.75/10
I imagine that Delirious just told them â€"18 minutes. Page over after a low blow. Go out and prove yourselves,” and they did just that. ACH was a typical babyface while Paige worked over ACH’s midsection very well. This match definitely felt like a step up the card for Page, and a chance for ACH to prove that he can go out there and have an awesome match with a guy who isn’t a proven commodity.

POST-MATCH BRAWL- also good.

ARIK CANNON vs. DANNY DUGGAN- 5/10
They were fine. That was it.

ODB & TRUTH MARTINI SEGMENT- bad
ODB’s weight was announced as â€"38DD” I’m not quite sure how Scarlett managed to say that without doing some sort of double-take or bursting out laughing. She came out because she was supposed to have a match but Truth Martini came out to cut a promo on her instead, saying that if she associates herself with the Briscoes, then it means she is a piece of trash like them.
Truth asked ODB what the B stood for, so she said â€"bitch.” Truth then said, â€"I’m gonna be polite so I’ll call you by your proper name, Ms. Bitch,” and apparently we were supposed to be offended by this, even though ODB herself just affirmed that this was, indeed, her name.
Truth then put over the Lethal vs. Briscoe â€"who is the top champion?” feud, then somehow booked himself in place of ODB’s opponent.

TRUTH MARTINI vs. ODB- DUD!
They started off with Truth saying ODB was a disappointment to her father and everyone acted like he had just used the C word. ODB slapped him, and he sold it by going down in a stiff and awkward manner, then laying there in an awkward position so ODB could cover him for a two-count.
She chopped him a bit. He got some heat. She drank whiskey and then did a Superman comeback which she started by grabbing his testicles right in front of the referee with no DQ. She gave him a Sting Splash then hit the WORST BRONCO BUSTER EVER! Truth then grabbed the referee, allowing Jay Lethal to give ODB a superkick and mercifully this. It would have been a million times better to just let ODB wrestle whoever she was kayfabe schedule to wrestle.

RODERICK STRONG vs. SILAS YOUNG- 8/10
Another awesome Roddy match. I didn’t like the finish that much, but even so, I thought the match was awesome.

WAR MACHINE vs. THE BRISCOES- 8/10
An awesome, hard-hitting match, but I really disliked the finish, which saw Jay Briscoe pinning Hanson. Hanson was in a four-way for the world title at the 13th Anniversary Show and not only didn't he eat the pin, but he actually had the win stolen from him. He should be a top contender to the world title right now! So why would you have the world champion beat him before you have the big world title match?
What they should have done was have Hanson pin Mark Briscoe. Not only would it build up Hanson, but it would build up War Machine as a unit. Certainly a lot more than having them lose to the Briscoes does.

ROH TV TITLE MATCH: Jay Lethal(c) (w/Truth Martini) vs. Kyle O’Reilly- 8.75/10
Superb stuff. Great work on the arm by Kyle, and a fantastically well-constructed match leading to a beautiful finish.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- FREAKIN’ PERFECT!
Lethal won’t give the fans five more minutes and goes to the back… so Jay Briscoe comes out and says he’ll show Lethal how a real champion acts. He notes that they are both banged up from their earlier matches, and thus are on an even playing field… so he offers Kyle a shot at the ROH World Title right here, right now!
But before they can start the match, Jay Lethal comes out and levels them both with the ROH TV Title! Not only does this build to Lethal vs. Briscoe, Title vs. Title, but it also establishes that Kyle can (probably) beat Jay but Jay hasn’t proven that he can beat Kyle, and sets Kyle up as someone who deserves a shot at the ROH World Title… which, I assume, will be in the hands of Jay Lethal after Best in the World 2015, thus setting Kyle up perfectly to be one of Jay’s first challengers.

Yet another awesome show from ROH, with one hell of a top of the card. This felt like one of those Gabe Era shows where the top matches all completely and totally deliver.
