NJPW Destruction in Okayama 2015 (9/23/2015)- Okayama, Japan
YUJI NAGATA, KATSUYORI SHIBATA, SHO TANAKA, & YOHEI KOMATSU vs. TETSUYA NAITO, JAY WHITE, DAVID FINLAY JR., & MANABU NAKANISHI- 1.25/10
Naito shoved the referee around multiple times and wouldn’t stay on the apron. He was never disqualified. The referee also let the three non-Naito guys on that team beat Nagata up three-on-one for about three straight minutes and the referee did not once try to tell any of them to get on the apron. I’m not even shore that Tanaka or Komatsu ever legally tagged in.
POST-MATCH ANGLE- Naito walked over to Shibata and spit in his face, so Shibata beat the f*ck out of him. Well… now that I’ve seen Shibata get his revenge, I guess there is no reason for me to care about their big match on Sunday.

NWA WORLD JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Steve Anthony(c) (w/Bruce Tharpe) vs. Tiger Mask IV- 6.25/10
HIROSHI TANAHASHI & MATT SYDAL vs. BULLET CLUB (Tama Tonga & Bad Luck Fale)- 6.75/10
The only thing I would change here is that I would have Sydal get the pin as he needs the build more than Tanahashi needs it right now.
IWGP TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club(c) (Doc Gallows & Karl â€"Machine Gun†Anderson) vs. Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan- 6.5/10
Started off boring but got quite exciting towards the end.
ALEX SHELLEY, TOMOAKI HONMA, RYUSUKE TAGUCHI, HIROOKI GOTO, & CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN vs. CHAOS (Rocky Romero, Trent Barreta, Shinsuke Nakamura, Tomohiro Ishii, & YOSHI-HASHI)- 5/10
Nakamura, Goto, and Ishii tried to have a serious wrestling match while the others just did goofy comedy spots. It didn’t mesh well at all.
BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles & Cody Hall) vs. CHAOS (Toru Yano & Kazuchika Okada) (w/Gedo)- 6.5/10
AJ and Okada were great, and Cody and Yano held up their end of the bargain by not sh*tting the bed.
IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: KUSHIDA(c) (w/Alex Shelley) vs. Kenny Omega (w/Doc Gallows)- 8.25/10
Awesome match. I thought the overbooking worked well, but I can see others not liking it. Quite the surprising finish, too.
KENNY OMEGA PROMO- he is quite the whacko. It did build well to Sydal’s title shot, though.
NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Togi Makabe(c) vs. Kota Ibushi- 7.25/10
I was hoping for a lot more from these two. Also, this constant losing of big matches can’t be good for Ibushi. Ever since he started competing as a heavyweight, it feels like all he has done is lose.
A good show from New Japan.
