CM PUNK PROMO- OUTSTANDING! If I gave ratings to promos, this one would get a 10/10!
GENERATION NEXT PROMO- okay, not so much a Gen Next promo as an Alex Shelley promo with Jack and Roddy standing in the background and looking semi-intimidating. Good promo, though.
DAVEY ANDREWS vs. TJ DALTON- No rating. The don’t even get a move off before getting beaten down by the Carnage Crew. Good promo by the Carnage Crew
DELIRIOUS vs. JAY LETHAL- 5.75/10
SAMOA JOE PROMO- GREAT!
DAIZEE HAZE vs. TRACY BROOKS- 3/10. Some good chain-wrestling that led to nothing. At least Tracy kept countering it so we couldn’t see Daizee botch the Mind Trip.
FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL: Trent Acid vs. Josh Daniels vs. Matt Sydal vs. Angeldust (w/Becky Bayless)- 4.5/10. Sydal was impressive.
FOLEY & STEAMBOAT TRADE INSLUTS- Good stuff! Foley does a HILARIOUS impression of the Flair Flop, too (in the middle of an awesome anti-Flair rant!)!
TEAM PURE WRESTLING (Nigel McGuinness & Chad Collyer) (w/Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat) vs. TEAM RING OF HARDCORE (Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer) (w/Mick Foley)- No rating… AWESOME segment. The wrestling wasn’t important here, but the story that the men involved told was beautiful!
DAVE PRAZAK INTERVIEWS TRENT ACID- okay
THE CARNAGE CREW (H.C. Loc & Tony Devito) vs. DAVEY ANDREWS & TJ DALTON- 3/10. Glorified Squash
JACK EVANS & RODERICK STRONG vs. HOMICIDE & ROCKY ROMERO- 7/10. I’m 99% sure that the guy who made the winning pin wasn’t legal. Great aftermath, too… but the crowd ruined it by cheering for a heinous attack and mockery of the Code of Honor.
I QUIT MATCH: Alex Shelley vs. Jimmy Jacobs- 8/10. The debut of Jimmy’s trademark railroad spike!
AFTERMATH/ SERIES OF BEATDOWNS- Good.
ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Samoa Joe(c) vs. CM Punk- 10/10. PERFECT An awesome story told flawlessly! I popped HUGE when Punk locked Joe in the Coquina Clutch!
