OPENING VIDEO PACKAGE - AWESOME!

SHANE DOUGLAS INTERVIEWS JEFF JARRETT - Good promo by Jarrett.

CHRISTOPHER DANIELS, & MATT BENTLEY, & KAZARIAN vs. THE 3 LIVE KRU - 5.75/10

One thing I really didn't like is that this did a WHAZZUP style leg drop right in front of the ref who didn't do anything, and West & Tenay didn't sell it either. Then, a few moments later the ref warned them about using a closed fist. Aside from that, part of this match seemed backwards, as the crew, who were clearly more over as babyfaces, were playing the heels a lot.

SEGMENT WITH DUSTY RHODES, TRINITY, JOHNNY FAIRPLAY, & TRACI BROOKS - I have no idea what the hell is going on here and nor do I want to. Something about a scavenger hunt.

SONJAY DUTT vs. "PRIMETIME" ELIX SKIPPER - 6.5/10

KEVIN NASH & DDP BACKSTAGE - Great.

DUSTIN RHODES vs. KID KASH - 6.25/10

A short match, but it just sucks you in and makes you want Dustin to kick Kash's butt.

JOHNNY FAIRPLAY IN DUSTY'S OFFICE - Dull

ERIK WATTS vs. RAVEN - 6/10

First the ref stops Erik Watts from using the chair, but then lets both guys use it later? The aftermath was eh.

SINGLED MATCH WITH RODDY PIPER AS THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE:
Scott Hall vs. Jeff Hardy - 2/10

The match started off with Piper checking both men for weapons and finding a bunch on Scott Hall. I really liked this, as it both explained Hall's goofy Elvis costume and made Piper look good. Unfortunately, that was about the only enjoyable thing in this match, as it went LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES!

TRIPLE THREAT ELIMINATION MATCH FOR A SHOT AT THE NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE LATER TONIGHT:
"The Alpha Male" Monty Brown vs. Kevin Nash vs. Diamond Dallas Page - 6/10

Disappointing, but forgivable if it was done to save up energy for an awesome main event
Apparently you can get eliminated by getting thrown over the top rope in this match. That is lame.

NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:
Team Canada(c) (w/Scott D'Amore) vs. America's Most Wanted - 8.25/10

AWESOME match, with a ton of great nearfalls!

SEGMENTS WITH JOHNNY FAIRPLAY, TRINITY, & TRACI - MORONIC. Surely there was a better way to build up to Trinity and Traci each finding a team to face each other.

ULTIMATE X MATCH FOR THE TNA X-DIVISION TITLE:
Petey Williams(c) (w/Scott D'Amore) vs. AJ Styles vs. Chris Sabin - 8.75

An absolutely AMAZING display of athleticism.

SEGMENT WITH JEFF JARRETT & KEVIN NASH BACKSTAGE - Good

NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH:
Jeff Jarrett(c) vs. "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown - 6.75/10

After letting Jarrett hit Brown with multiple chairshots (during period of time when they were on the outside for WAY too long), Jarrett grabs the title belt and goes to hit Brown with that, but the ref stops him. WTF? (Don West explains the ref letting Jarrett get away with the chairshots with that stupid "well, everyone would be disappointed if we had a DQ finish to a world title match" logic that ran rampant in early ROH and utterly ruined an otherwise amazing match between Bret Hart and Kevin Nash at the 1995 Royal Rumble). This also made the ref bump and accompanying weapons shots later on in the match seem silly. Meanwhile, the fans are chanting "WE WANT TABLES" while the heel is beating up the babyface who they cheering for in the #1 Contendership match!

Final Thoughts
Overall, this was a great show from TNA, but it had some major disappointments on it as well. This show had some pretty awesome video packages that did a great job at explaining all of the feuds, which is good for someone who is watching this randomly (I am only watching the PPVs in order, and not the Impacts and I found them very helpful. It is a testament to how good the rest of the show was that you can overlook some of the disappointments.

One thing that really annoys me about this DVD is that the match listing on the jewel case is both out of order and wrong. The match between Hall and Hardy is billed as a Falls Count Anywhere match, and the #1 Contender's match
