Michael Elgin vs Rene Dupree Tale of the Tape Video - Dupree may or may not be high as fuck. Dupree sucked and he looks aged.

PWWC Canadian Qualifying First Round Match
Michael Elgin vs Rene Dupree - 5/10

Dupree actually looks pretty good physically, full of tattoos now, I hadn't seen him since his last Japan run, when he had the mustache and blonde hair, and was considerably skinnier. Match was ok, Elgin being strong and Dupree just doing moves. Dupree brought in a chair and pushed the ref, Elgin wins via DQ. Could Dupree really not take a pin from Elgin?

Frankie The Mobster vs Harry Smith Tale of the Tape Video - Frankie is awesome. Smith came off as a babyface, I hadn't heard him talk in ages, good stuff, but kinda robotic.

Frankie The Mobster vs Harry Smith - 5/10

One of the first things the commentators said where that going by Dupree's match, being well known former WWE wrestling is not good, because the others are hungry. I don't disagree, but the reason is usually that the more popular you are, the more people know your wrestling. So Harry ended up working the heel in the match, kinda seems backwards. Big lads match, nothing special either. Harry Smith pushes the ref, low blows Frankie, and hits the piledriver for the win. Second match with cheating leading to the final.

Mike Bailey vs Brent Banks Tale of the Tape Video - Bailey is such a polite young man, he established his way as the underdog of the tournament, but without making himself out to be a victim or anything.

PWWC Canadian Qualifying First Round Match
"Speedball" Mike Bailey vs Brent Banks - 8.5/10

This match was FUCKING AMAZING! It was the best match in the whole tournament so far. Go watch it right now, here's a link, it's free. I NEED Bailey and Brent Banks back in the United States ASAP!

Tyson Dux vs Kyle O'Reilly Tale of the Tape Video - Interesting words of Dux saying that he always fucks up his opportunities. KOR was a bit cocky and heelish, but it was still really KOR.

PWWC Canadian Qualifying First Round Match
Tyson Dux vs Kyle O'Reilly - 8/10

More of a methodical match with Dux working KOR's legs and O'Reilly working Dux's arm. Great fight that was mostly submissions and hard hitting strikes and kicks. Finish saw Dux tap to the armbar from O'Reilly. Bailey vs O'Reilly should be good if Bailey works on that leg.

WCPW Internet Championship Match
Zack Sabre Jr vs Gabriel Kidd - 8/10

Both men wearing red, did neither bring another pair of trunks? There is a complete disconnect between the announcers and the match, commentary is saying that this is babyface Gabriel Kidd's biggest match, that he is the underdog against Sabre's technique and experience, yet Kidd is being completely cocky, he's chewing gum, showing off. Actual story in the ring is Sabre is being matched up by the much more inexperienced Kidd.

Aside from that, the match itself was great. Sabre worked the shoulder, Kidd was working more of the power moves on Sabre. The match got better and better as it progressed, getting really close to Sabre winning, but Kidd being able to kick out. Finish saw Kidd pin Sabre with a small package for the fluke title retention.

Post-match - Zack Sabre is boiling in rage over the defeat, throwing chairs and what not. Kidd calls him in to the ring, Sabre gets in his face, but Kidd says that they're 1-1 and says he wants a third match.

PWWC Canadian Qualifying Final Match
Michael Elgin vs Harry Smith - 7.5/10

Smith stays heel attacking Elgin before the match starts. They started brawling all over the place, including the bar where I couldn't see shit because of the lack of lighting. Ref in the first match DQd Dupree for bringing a chair and pushing him, now the ref was completely cool with Smith and Elgin brawling in the crowd using chairs. Once back in the ring, Smith worked Elgin's leg, hindering his strength since he can't put weight on it. Finish saw Harry go for the exact same finish as the previous match (low blow and all), but Elgin kicked out, made a comeback and powerbombed Harry for the win. Much better match that both men's earlier matches.

PWWC Canadian Qualifying Final Match
Kyle O'Reilly vs "Speedball" Mike Bailey - 8.5/10

Tremendous match where indeed Bailey went straight for KOR's leg and he kept the pressure in for a while until he somewhat gassed himself out after the kick flurry that KOR forced himself to just take knowing the opening that comes after. After that KOR worked on the arm while Speedball kept going for the legs. Finish saw Bailey hit the Shooting Star Knees for the win. Awesome match.

El Lijero vs Joe Hendry - 6.5/10

Hendry went on his usual spill before the match, mostly about never defending his title in Canada. Match was OK, nothing special, mostly heel vs babyface stuff with Hendry going for countout wins, ref bumps, and such. Hendry tapped out Ligero with the Ankle Lock for the win.

Post-match - Hendry keeps attacking Ligero and Kirby makes the save.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

This show was good, it really proves that if you remove striker, you remove the WCPW geeks, and you reduced the amount of Prestige shit to ONE match, then maybe you have a far better show.
