WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH: The Big Show(c) vs. John Cena- 4/10
I really wasn’t crazy about the finish because of the way that the first FU was handled. When Cena got Show up for the first FU it felt like a huge deal. That should have been the finish. If they wanted the chain shot they should just skipped the first FU and done the finish that they did.
FATAL 4 WAY MATCH FOR THE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: Rob Van Dam & Booker T(c) vs. La Resistance (René Dupree & Rob Conway) vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade)- 5/10
CHRISTIAN vs. CHRIS JERICHO- 7/10
AFTERMATH- I don’t think anyone saw that turn coming.
MICK FOLEY & THE ROCK PROMO- good
HANDICAP MATCH: The Rock N’ Sock Connection (The Rock & Mick Foley) vs. Evolution (Ric Flair, Randy Orton, & Batista)- 7/10
Fun. Rock and Flair were absolute gold together.
STACY KEIBLER & MISS JACKIE vs. TORRIE WILSON & SABLE- 1.5/10
If you want them to wrestle, have it be a normal damn wrestling match. There was no point in wasting a few minutes having them strip.
CRUISERWEIGHT OPEN MATCH FOR THE WWE CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE: Chavo Guerrero Jr.(c) (w/Chavo Guerrero Sr.) vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Billy Kidman vs. Funaki vs. Akio vs. Tajiri vs. Shannon Moore vs. Ultimo Dragon vs. Jamie Noble vs. Nunzio- 5/10
This match was all action, but they went through a ten man gauntlet in thirteen minutes, so nothing got anywhere close to enough time.
SINGLES MATCH WITH “STONE COLD” STEVE AUSTIN AS SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg- 4.75/10
This should have been MUCH better than it was, and the way they put the match together just seemed lazy, repeating spots, and stalling for the first few minutes. This should have been MUCH better. This was a dream match. An epic confrontation… and they screwed it up. Both guys deserved the Stunners they got after this match.
FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH FOR THE WWE TAG TEAM TITLES: Rikishi & Scottie 2 Hottie(c) vs. Basham Brothers vs. Haas & Benjamin vs. The APA- 4.5/10
TITLE VS. HAIR MATCH FOR THE WWE WOMEN’S TITLE: Victoria(c) vs. Molly Holly(hair)- 3/10
WWE TITLE MATCH: Eddie Guerrero(c) vs. Kurt Angle- 7.75/10
I really didn’t like the finish. I don’t think they build up Angle going for the Angle Lock enough for a finish like that. Otherwise an awesome match, though.
KANE vs. THE UNDERTAKER (w/Paul Bearer)- 4/10
Extremely disappointing. This really felt like “Go out there, do come punches, get your stuff in, go home.”
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Triple H(c) vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels- a PERFECT 10/10!
An amazing story with an amazing crowd
Overall a VERY up and down show from WWE, some major matches (Kane vs. Taker, & Goldberg vs. Lesnar) not delivering at all. The main event really saves this show from being one of the most disappointing Manias of all time.
