SINGLES MATCH WITH JULIUS SMOKES AS SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: Alexis Laree vs. Hi-Jinks (w/Special K)- no rating. The babyface gets her revenge for two shows ago when Special K slipped Mickie a mickey (I’ve been wanting to use that joke since I thought of it, which was, unfortunately, two minutes after I posted my Bitter Friends, Stiffer Enemies review).
CM PUNK PROMO- great
TERRY FUNK vs. CM PUNK- 5.5/10
A few minutes into the match, Punk grabs a mic and says “this is now a hardcore match,” and, for some reason, everyone just goes along with it. Still Punk manages to get DQed for not breaking a hold in the ropes.
AFTERMATH- good, minus the pointless swerve with Punk & Cabana.
ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Samoa Joe(c) vs. Christopher Daniels (w/Allison Danger)- 8/10
An awesome match that definitely had a big-match feel to it. The fact that this was the last show at the Murphy Rec. Center really contributed to the feeling that Daniels would win the belt.

BACKSEAT BOYZ PROMO- okay
COLT CABANA HOSTS THE FIRST EVER “GOOD TIMES, GREAT MEMORIES” SEGMENT- His first guests are Julius Smokes, Louie Ramos, & Slugger. Smokes is the only one who talks and he is his obnoxious self. He does have a pretty good singing voice, though.
Overall, not a very good show from ROH. The match quality just wasn’t there and there was so much stuff on this show that it was very hard to sit through.
STUPID ANNOUNCER QUOTES:
1. Gabe absolutely runs Punk down on commentary for going after Terry Funk’s knee, even going as far as saying “CM Punk should have more respect for Terry Funk than to target the knee like this.” What do you want him to do? Just ignore an obvious advantage? It is Funk fault the knee is injured. Maybe sexagenarians shouldn’t do moonsaults?
