TNA Slammiversay 2012 (6/10/2012)- Arlington, TX

Hogan Promo - meh at most.
TNA X-Division Title Match
Austin Aries (c) vs Samoa Joe - 7/10
Good opener, but i'm worried that it will be the best match of the night and i already saw it. So according to Hogan, going old school means putting the title on the line, cuz you know, the x division has become a cruiserweight division. That brainbuster looked sick, kinda like Joe didn't get his body to fully turn.
Kid Kash vs Hernandez - 6/10
WOW, HERNANDEZ!!! Is it me of does Hernandez look smaller than before!? BTW, he got introduced as one half of Mexican America...who's the other half if Anarquia got fired?? Decent match, i would imagine that Hernandez would easily win over Kash, but i was wrong.
Devon and Garrett Bischoff vs The Robbie ET - 4/10
The Robbies are a good tag team, they look the part. What the hell happened Madison Rayne!!! She used to be my favorite Knockout!! She lost her looks with this new thing she's doing. The PPV really had no need for this match. No one likes Garrett, and something tells me not a lot of people would miss any of the other guys.
Kaz and Daniel promo - Ok
No 1 Contenders Match for the TNA World Title
Mr Anderson vs Jeff Hardy vs RVD - 7/10
Hardy would be a great blind person, he knows his way around the ring with his eyes closed. This is a fun match, a lot of spots from everyone, quick paced. It's a nice thing that since the winner fights the Champ next Impact, anyone could win at this point.
Crimson Promo - cocky...i like it.
Crimson vs James Storm - 4/10
Waste of a streak, waste of a return. Breaking the streak needed to be saved for someone else that needs a push, Storm is at top, he doesn't need a push. Plus, Storm's return should be a straight challenge at Roode (or whoever has the title).
Austin Aries Promo - It was a good promo, my problem is that this "I wanna be the Main Event" is only because the next PPV is Destination X, so it's not like he's going to the main event scene, he will simply be the main event by default for the next PPV.
Hall Of Fame segment - It was nice, honestly. The ovation for Sting was well deserving. Now retired. Even Dixie was ok.
TNA Knockout's Title Match
Gail Kim (c) vs Miss Tessmacher - 5/10
At this point, i feel like Tessmacher is TNA's Kelly Kelly. She has improved a lot in the ring, but no one wants to accept it. Probably not the best option for a KOs Champ considering they have Kim, Tara, or MJ, but at the same time, it's fresh and hot. The bad thing for me was that at this point, i don't even feel joy at Kim losing the title, it felt just like a protocol title exchange. The match was good, nothing amazing, but so much better than the usual match. several botches here and there. I did love that Tess had the counter for her own move, something every wrestler should have. Tess won with a roll up so i'm guessing we're getting a rematch soon. Aftermath - Meh! Talking about stereotypes Tess?? really??
Bully Ray Promo - Nice!
Anything Goes Match
Joseph Parks vs Bully Ray - 6/10
The build up video was awesome! Sweat suit, white socks, no intro song, Joseph Parks. The planets are aligned, this was perfectly executed. "Yankees Sucks" chant going on! Parks holding the chair the other way was great! The bump was horrible. I expected more hardcore stuff coming out from this match, i know it was Joseph Parks, but they could still have Ray really try to punish him.
Bobby Roode Promo - good promo
Hogan/Christian Cage stuff
I think it was a big deal to show Christian here, I think that TNA did indeed misused their Flair deal, but this is still a big deal. Some problems. It was no surprise to anyone, except Tazz. He didn't need an intro by Hogan, his music would have been sufficient. Second, this was spoiled by Dixie days before, imagine the shockwave that keeping this secret would have created!? People would be going crazy over whether if Christian had jumped or not! I did indeed love the reference to the six sided ring.
WTF, no closure for Christian? straight to the AJ/Kaz/Daniels/Angle build up video.
TNA World Tag Team Title Match
Kaz & Christopher Daniels (c) vs AJ Styles & Kurt Angle - 8/10
Kazaniels come out first, with matching attires!!. I still love AJ's theme!! I thought that they were gonna play the whole "Can Kurt trust AJ?" thing, but i guess they talked it over during the weekend. The footstomp thing Daniels did from the top rope was pretty cool. Double Team Moves!!! I really can't remember the last time I saw Angle receive a hot tag! Double German Suplex! Dang! I just noticed Daniels tapes his hand so that he gives you the finger without actually doing it. Angle can't pull off a frog splash, then AJ pulls out a springboard shooting star press. The win was meh, Kaz was waay to close to the rope!
Roode vs Sting build up video - GOOD! I wonder if Sting always paints his face or if he used to have someone to do it. That would explain why his face paint sucks now.

Bobby Roode (c) vs Sting - 6/10
Is it me, or did Booby Roode take Madison Rayne's Queen Bee theme song?? This match is also known as the Battle of the Shiny Robes!! Sting can't apply the Scorpion Deathlock anymore, it looks sad. I lol'd at So Cal Val trying to get away when Sting and Roode fought over the table. The finish was stupid, hitting someone with a beer bottle makes it obvious that it was used when it shatters, Roode should have been DQ here, keeping the title. Aftermath, unnecessary, Sting doesn't need to be crazier.
Final thoughts - Only one. WHERE THE HELL WAS JEFF JARRETT!!!

- I really appreciate that TNA makes that special intros in the main events. It makes it seem important.
