Opening Promo - Cheesy, and everything that Show said was completely opposite of what he usually says as a face. Annoying.
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Sheamus (c) vs Dolph Ziggler - 7/10
We obviously start with the WHC match, like always. Sheamus comes out first, with matching trunks for his hair. Dolph doesn't get EXCUME ME intro, nice! Formal introductions, nice again!.....almost got another 18 sec match, including the kiss, thank you for not doing it. Super DDT guys!? really!? God, it's the first match and I already want to mute the announce table. Lawler doesn't know the purpose of a headlock headstand and still badmouths Ziggler!!? fuck Lawler, just retire already! I'm not sure if Sheamus and Ziggler botched some moves, or Ziggler is amazing! I totally heard "Let's go Ziggler!", Lawler said it was "Let's go Sheamus!" I could be wrong. Great opening match, Ziggler is such an amazing talent, he should have won this match. At least Sheamus looked strong and got taken to the extreme. Finally, when you pump up for the Brogue Kick, I feel like it loses all strength as when he hits it out of nowhere.
Ace and McMahon Backstage: meh, WTF is up with Johnny's suit, it just looks goofy, he should get fired before he becomes a goof.
Tuxedo Match
Santino Marella vs Ricardo Rodriguez - 2/10
Why is this even taking place!? Ricardo Rodriguez intro song, intro moves, intro movie...ALL AMAZING!! Booker said RR looks like Pee Wee...really Booker? that's the same thing he always wears, why hadn't you mentioned it before? You know why?, because you're a terrible announcer. Santino saying this was his only and favorite tuxedo was cool. RR should just bring out his Chimera mask and kill Santino. Boring! chant...expected, i would also accept "This is stupid". RR has Del Rio's underwear, I WANT SOME!!! I'm giving it a 2 only because RR got some offense in.
CM Punk saying CM Punk catchphrases - meh. AJ telling Striker to fuck off was great!
Intercontinental Title Match
Christian (c) vs Cody Rhodes - 6/10
I'm expecting a really good match here, unfortunately, announcing table is annoying me. Good match overall. Hadn't seen the Alabama Slam in a long while, sadly, no reference to Hardcore Holly and tagging with Cody. YES! chants when Cody kicks out of the Killswitch. Lawler, why do you ask what to do next if Christian has been winning with the Frog Splash and the Spear since he came back!? Expected win. Cody for World Heavyweight title No 1 contender now!!
Tag Team Fatal 4 Way Match for the No 1 Contenders of the Tag Title Match
All World Promotions vs Gabriel Kidd vs Prime Time Players vs The Usos - 6/10
1.- Why not just make it a tag title match??...Oh yeah, the Kofi Kingston Curse!
2.- Did AW really missed their rematch!? That's the kind of thing i would fire my manager for!
3.- Where is The Pink and Black Attack V2....Reks and Hawkins!!!!?
How long has it been since there has been a tag team fatal four way match, and in a PPV!? There is a tag division, it just sucks. What are the Prime Time Players supposed to be about?? Nega-Cena looks bad in pink! Primo and Epico are a great tag team, probably the best in WWE right now. Why doesn't Tyson Kidd get pushed!? Easily the MVP of the match! The Huracarana to the group was a cool spot. Nega-Cena is now using Roderick Strong's moves, and AW betrays Primo and Hunico and sides with the PTP!! AW is definitely not a good business man.
I heard the Money In The Bank theme after the commercial and I started to mark out for Shane McMahon...then I was sad for nothing happening.
Triple H Segment - So Triple H wants to dismiss the lawsuit which he was bound to lose by challenging Lesnar to a fight? Man, i wish life were that simple. meh, i don't wanna see Triple H vs Lensar at this point. This also implies that Summerslam will not be headlined by the WWE World Title....worth knowing that a title match hasn't headlined a PPV since TLC 2011.
AJ with Dragon - cool!
Divas Title Match
Layla (c) vs Beth Phoenix - 4/10
Beth Phoenix tells Layla she can lace her boots, which is an interesting comment to anyone who knows about the wrestling business. Layla mocking Beth was stupid, so freaking stupid...and it worked, GAAWWDDD!! This is Kelly Kelly vs Beth Phoenix all over again. Meh match, Layla grabbed Beth's boob during the pin, that was my only highlight.
AJ with Kane - meh! Kane is a horny-in-love dude.
Hunico vs Sin Cara - 6/10
If they're gonna continue having Sin Cara fight Hunico, at least make it a feud again. and no, Sin Cara is not really a second generation superstar. Lawler said this was "lucha libre at its best" the only problem with this is that this is not really lucha libre, otherwise this would be a great match. Hunico is a great character, I wanna see him and Camacho do some Guerrero's type of things, comedy and all. Awesome match from Hunico, Sin Cara was ok.
WWE World Title Scene Build Up Video - cool, even with all the cheesy stuff. I kinda like how Kane is the only one who actually has more interest in AJ than the World Title. Punk and Dragon are still focused on the Title!
WWE World Title Match
CM Punk(c) vs Daniel Bryan vs Kane - 8/10
It's awesome to see Punk and Dragon work together against Kane, that made Kane look stronger than both from the get go, like the powerhouse he's supposed to be. This is a great match!!! better than i expected! any pairing between these guys is working perfectly. Springboard Doomsday Device!!! and no one noticed!!! While it was a great match, the ending kinda sucked, I expected more stuff from AJ and Dragon was completely out the last chunk of the match. Kane steals AJ while it seems she was helping Punk. At least Dragon didn't get pinned and can brag about not losing the match.
Ryback Feeding Time
Ryback vs Dan Delaney and Rob Grymes - 4/10
He's asking for three now. This was better than the Tuxedo Match.
Loser Leaves Town Steel Cage Match, Cena and Ace's Job on the line
Big Show vs John Cena, (W/ Vince Mcmahon and John Lauranitis at ringside) - 5/10
Cena trying to escape like he did early in the match made him look weak, opposite of what he usually represents. I kinda feel that by this time, Cole and King are annoyed at each other. When show started to walk the ropes, i was like "GO HIGHER!!" that would have been an awesome spot. Ace attacks Vince!!! Clay Comes out to fight Show!!! So faces are cheating to not let Show escape. Horrible finish IMO.
Ace gets fired - Probably the worst decision WWE has done in a while. Hopefully he puts in a mask and pretends to be his Mexican cousin.
Final Thoughts
Decent show with some good match, but the bad stuff was baaaaad. I don't know why WWE can't take 15 minutes on RAW and Smackdown to make relevant back stories to the tag division. I also don't know why we need to have squash matches during PPVs. finally, i don't know why Lawler and Booker still have jobs in the WWE announcers table. I really hope that MITB gets a world title main event to break the streak.
NOTES:
- Set and Titantron are lame tonight, like they reused the normal RAW one.
- Booker mentioned during Triple H's entrance that he was the guy that he would watch every monday night during the attitude era....so booker...you admit to be watching RAW instead of working during Nitro!?? dafuk Booker!!
- The Spanish announcing team gets introduced half way the show. facepalm
- I probably don't need to mention it, but I hate the announcing table. Does anyone in the internet offer alternate commentary to the shows?? If not, i'm willing to start this, anyone interested??
