PWG Threemendous III (9th Anniversary Show)

JOEY RYAN PROMO:
Joey Ryan and Excalibur start the show in typical PWG promo fashion. Some funny TNA references and the rare appearance of Larry the Bartender! Rick Knox (senior official of PWG) comes out and says he's actually been in more matches than anyone in PWG, contrary to what Ryan cut a promo about a few seconds ago. Then, some Knox fun ensues (I won't spoil it). KNOX IS AWESOME! *Clap, clap, clap clap clap*

MATCH #1: JOEY RYAN vs. FAMOUS B
Really good opener with some cool spots. Not much of a story but Famous B is getting a lot better. Ryan is awesome as always.
Rating: **1/2

MATCH #2: RODERICK STRONG vs. TJ PERKINS
TJP is one of the most underrated workers on the indy scene. For years I've been watching him in PWG (and occasionally jobbing in ROH) execute amazingly crisp technical offense, but for some reason I've never heard anyone give him his credit. Him and Roddy had an extremely brutal and technical match. TJP took an insane a** whipping, and even gave some back himself, but this match was f*cking intense and just a treat to watch.
Rating: ***3/4

MATCH #3: THE FIGHTIN' TAYLOR BOYS (CHUCK TAYLOR & RYAN TAYLOR) vs. THE ROCKNES MONSTERS (JOHNNY GOODTIME & JOHNNY YUMA)
Kinda boring at first but picked up, thanks to Chuckie T. Some crazy spots thrown in and a lot of comedy as well. If it weren't for Chuck though, this match would have dragged. Ryan Taylor sucks and the RockNES Monsters aren't as good as some PWG fans would like to think (in my humble opinion). I'm not sure if Yuma and Goodtime were supposed to come off as heels in this match, but the fans in Reseda sure hated them by the end of it.
Rating: **3/4

MATCH #4: BRIAN CAGE TAYLOR vs. EDDIE EDWARDS
Brian Cage (Taylor) has been really really standing out lately, so I was excited to see this match. Cage is a f*cking MACHINE and definitely got his sh*t in (PWG fans will understand this). This match was really back and forth and extremely solid, if not great. After the match, Cage channels Booker T and tells Kevin Steen (PWG World Champ) "I'M COMIN' FOR YOU N*GGA!" followed with a freakin' Spinaroonie! F*cking classic and got a huge pop.
Rating: ***1/2

MATCH #5: PWG WORLD TITLE MATCH - KEVIN STEEN (c) vs. WILLIE MACK
Holy f*ck was this awesome. Willie's selling is impeccable and Steen just being Steen worked perfectly and made Willie look like a fighter. The finish had some AMAZING near falls and a special little surprise from a special friend of Steen (sarcasm) who may or may not have been in the last match. Also, Rick Knox DIES~!!! in this match, oh my god. Amazing match, one of Willie's best.
Rating: ****1/4

MATCH #6: DRAKE YOUNGER vs. B-BOY
Some might not like this match because it is, at its core, move after move after move. But hey, if the fans love it, then what are you doing wrong? B-Boy and Younger had an AWESOME match here that really tore the house down in Younger's PWG debut. It made me so proud to see Younger received so well in somewhere other than CZW and he's really getting that CZW deathmatch stigma off of him. He has actual tights now! Chuckie T and Excalibur on commentary talked about CZW a lot too, and gave lots of backstory to this match. The big fight "someone is gonna get their a** kicked" atmosphere was great.
Rating: ****1/4

MATCH #7: MICHAEL ELGIN vs. SAMI CALLIHAN
I was so stoked to see this match, and it had me on the edge of my seat right as the bell rang (Sami plays his character so perfectly, almost too perfectly). These two beat the f*ck out of each other, and the two characters clashed PERFECTLY. It was so entertaining to watch these two go at it, time went by so quickly I was like "that's it?" until I realized it had been like 16 minutes. Like almost every other match on this card, this match alone is worth your money.
Rating: ****

MATCH #8: THREE-WAY LADDER MATCH FOR THE PWG WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES - THE SUPER SMASH BROTHERS (PLAYER UNO & STUPEFIED) vs. FUTURE SHOCK (ADAM COLE & KYLE O'REILLY) vs. THE YOUNG BUCKS (NICK & MATT JACKSON)
The craziest ladder match I've ever seen, hands down. I can't even speak, like honestly. And RICK KNOX IS A GOD! I... I just can't put into words.
Rating: ****** (SIX F*CKING STARS OUT OF FIVE)

AWESOME COMMENTARY MOMENT:
Chuck Taylor on B-Boy's Face Eraser (dropkick in the corner): "It's not even a dropkick anymore, he just jumps on your head!"
