CHIKARA Anniversario? (5/26/2007)- Hellertown, PA
This DVD opens up with a really weird little commercial/rap that sounds like it is being sung by a ten year old, that advertises CHIKARA and Smart Mark Video. It was just freaky.
THE OLSEN TWINS vs. THE COLONY- 4.25/10
Some action, some comedy… good opener.
BRODIE LEE PROMO- pre-truck driver Brodie Lee is weird.
BRODIE LEE vs. EQUINOX- no rating, good segment.
This was a squash match, but the backstory made it feel like more than any regular old squash, and the commentary helped this even more.
SHAYNE HAWKE PROMO- good… but him calling Dollard-des-Ormeaux a â€"Jewish neighborhood†then saying that all of the other kids had big screen TVs and could afford videogames that he couldn’t made it seem slightly racist.
PLAYER UNO vs. SHAYNE HAWKE- 3/10
A very CHIKARA finish (it involves Player Uno’s pause button). Kingston was hilarious on commentary, and it is even more hilarious now that Dragon has gotten over in WWE and(according to Wikipedia, the rest of the world) by shouting â€"YES!â€
WORKER ANT vs. HYDRA (w/UltraMantis Black)- 2/10
More fun from Kingston on commentary! The match wasn’t very interesting or good.
MITCH RYDER vs. SHANE STORM- 4/10
LARRY SWEENEY & MITCH RYDER SEGMENT- Sweeney invites Ryder to join the Kings of Wrestling. Ryder accepts. Sweeney then transitions into…
LARRY SWEENEY & CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI vs. EL PANTERA & LINCE DORADO- 5/10
This dragged on way too long for a match in which the only thing that really mattered was the finish.
MAX BOYER PROMO- good, fiery promo, but it would have been better if Boyer actually went anywhere in his career after claiming that this win would bring him to the main event level.
YOUNG LIONS CUP: Max Boyer(c) vs. Create-A-Wrestler- good squash.
This really got Boyer’s new, aggressive attitude over.
POST-MATCH SEGMENT- Icarus and Akuma come out and offer Boyer a spot in the Kings of Wrestling, but both Larry Sweeney (on commentary) and Chris Hero (watching from the stage) seem to be very disapproving. A good segment that promises to lead someplace interesting.
EDDIE KINGSTON PROMO- good
EDDIE KINGSTON vs. HALLOWICKED- 6/10
They have a nice hard-hitting match until Kingston get’s DQed for trying to rip open Hallowicked’s mask. They brawl some more after the match.
ICARUS & GRAN AKUMA PROMO- good
GRAN AKUMA & ICARUS vs. DRAGON YUKI & KAGRRA- 6/10
CHRIS HERO PROMO- great
MIKE QUACKENBUSH vs. CHRIS HERO- 7.75/10
Awesome match. You could really feel just how much this match meant to both guys, especially Quack. You could tell that he wanted the win SO badly.

AWESOME COMMENTARY MOMENT:
Larry Sweeney- â€"Moonsault press to the standing Dragon Yuki. We’ve never seen that before from Akuma, I don’t think… unless I wasn’t paying attention.â€
Overall, an okay show from CHIKARA. There was a bit too much comedy and the beginning of the show really felt like it was dragging on. The stuff with the Kings of Wrestling was interesting, though, and the main event is an extremely important match in CHIKARA's history.
