ROH Reborn Again (5/11/2007)- Hartford, CT

The show starts off with Dragon assuring us that he is back, and therefore nothing will change now that ROH has PPV. This kind of felt like it was sh*tting on the PPV announcement. Then we got a announcement from Lenny Leonard telling us that PPV is changing things because TNA has decided to pull all of their contracted talents from ROH shows, and that ROH will now be signing its wrestlers to contracts to prevent this situation in the future.

JIMMY RAVE vs. PELLE PRIMEAU- 4/10
Yeah, I’m with Lenny Leonard on this one. Everything is clearly changing. There were a lot of people chanting â€"LET’S GO JIMMY!” It’s like the whole world is turning upside down!

NO REMORSE CORPS PROMO- good build to their match with the remaining members of The Resilience tonight.

DAIZEE HAZE vs. NIKKI ROXX- 3.75/10
Nikki Roxx failed at doing a kip-up. After the match, Sara Del Rey came out to a huge pop, and disrespected Daizee by calling her â€"kiddo” and patting her on the head.

KEVIN STEEN & EL GENERICO vs. JASON BLADE & EDDIE EDWARDS- 5.75/10
They really won the crowd with this match.

CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI vs. BOBBY FISH-6/10
This match was a lot more competitive than I was expecting. Dave Prazak called Claudio’s bicycle kick â€"Swiss Schwinn Music.” That made me laugh.

PEARCE & HAGADORN F*CK WITH THE CROWD- great. First Hagadorn came out to The Final Countdown, dressed like Dragon in his old black vampire road and hood. This really pissed the crowd off. Then they engaged in various crowd-riling antics before announcing that Dragon’s open contract for his ROH return tonight had been signed by… Shane Hagadorn.

BRYAN DANIELSON vs. SHANE HAGADORN (w/Adam Pearce)- no rating.
A fun little squash for Dragon to get his offense in. After the match, Pearce jumps Dragon, leading to…

BRYAN DANIELSON vs. ADAM PEARCE (w/Shane Hagadorn)- No rating. Okay segment.
This was pretty much the same thing as the Hagadorn match, but Pearce tapped a bit too quickly for someone who is supposed to be an actual threat to people.

NO REMORSE CORPS & BRYAN DANIELSON SEGMENT- The No Remorse Corps comes out and Roddy offers Dragon a spot in the group. Dragon turns him down. NRC make like they are about to attack Dragon, but Erick Stevens and Matt Cross come out to even the odds. Draogn challenges them to a six man tag team match, but they puss out. They try to leave, but Matt Cross dives onto them, beginning the match.
THE NO REMORSE CORPS vs. ERICK STEVENS, MATT CROSS, & BRYAN DANIELSON- 7.5/10

BECKY BAYLESS INTERVIEWS JIMMY RAVE- Rave’s promo was good. Becky should know not to chew gum while talking. It was very distracting.

MITCH FRANKLIN vs. TANK TOLAND (w/Bobby Dempsey)- no rating, FANTASTIC SQUASH!
After the match, Tank orders Bobby Dempsey to attack Mitch, and Bobby does so.

DELIRIOUS PROMO- it’s a Delirious promo. It was supposed to build up his match for later tonight with KENTA, which it did to the extent that a Delirious promo can.

NAOMICHI MARUFUJI vs. MATT SYDAL- 8/10
Awesome!

KENTA vs. DELIRIOUS- 7.5/10
Delirious seems like an odd choice of opponent for KENTA, but he was one of the few guys that were in the upper-midcard or higher who he hadn’t faced before, and they worked well together.

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Briscoe Brothers(c) vs. BJ Whitmer & Takeshi Morishima- 7.5/10
A very good match, and Jay pinning Morishima set up his title shot next month at A Fight at the Roxbury.

JIMMY & LACEY’S FOUR DAY DATE: PART 1- they go bowling, and this video was called â€"Love to Spare.” I love puns as much as Jimmy loves Lacey.

A very good show from ROH, with a very hot crowd, but ultimately an entirely skippable show as well.
