ROH Motor City Madness (10/7/2006)- Detroit, MI
SAMOA JOE & HOMICIDE PROMOS- good
DELIRIOUS vs. ZACK GOWEN- 3.25/10
This felt a lot like a squash, in part due to Gowen getting very little offense in, in part due to its short length, and in part due to Gowen’s selling, which was almost too good in that it seemed to make himself look very weak.
JIM CORNETTE & RODERICK STRONG SEGMENT- okay
ALLISON DANGER & LACEY vs. DAIZEE HAZE & MSCHIF- 4/10
Haze coming out to MsChif's music just has something so… off about it. Lacey complaining on her way to the ring about having to come out to Danger’s music was great, as was Danger’s reaction to it.
DAVEY RICHARDS vs. CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI- 6.25/10
MATT SYDAL & CHRISTOPHER DANIELS vs. COLT CABANA & JIMMY JACOBS (w/Lacey)- 5/10
Like all of Jimmy and Colt’s matches as a team, this was a lot of character work with a bit of comedy mixed in, but nothing too exciting.
AFTERMATH- good
SEGMENT WITH CHRIS HERO, DANIELS, & SYDAL- Daniels was good, Hero was a jerk, and Sydal was okay.
CHRIS HERO vs. MATT SYDAL (w/Christopher Daniels)- 5.75/10
JIM CORNETTE CALLS OUT HOMICIDE- okay segment that turned the main event into a street fight.
DAVE PRAZAK INTERVIEWS DELIRIOUS- it’s a Delirious promo
SIX MAN MAYHEM MATCH: Jimmy Rave vs. Pelle Primeau vs. Jake Crist vs. Dave Crist vs. Shane Hagadorn vs. Matt Cross- 4/10
ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Bryan Danielson(c) vs. Austin Aries- 7.5/10
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE STREET FIGHT: The Briscoe Brothers vs. Samoa Joe & Homicide- 8.75/10
An awesome hardcore brawl including tons of chair-throwing, tables that refused to break and a few RIDICULOUSLY INSANE spots that I don’t want to spoil… but I will say that they take place outside of the building.
Overall, a bad show by ROH standards saved by an insane main event.
