TNA Hardcore Justice 2011 (8/7/2011)- Orlando, FL

TNA X-DIVISION TITLE MATCH: Brian Kendrick(c) vs. Alex Shelley vs. Austin Aries- 7.5/10. Awesome opener, despite Taz and Tenay not doing a good job of selling any of the finishers (especially the Border City Stretch and the Last Chancery)

TNA KNOCKOUTS TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Tara & Miss Tessmacher(c) vs. Mexican America- 5.5/10. Tara is the most over woman in TNA by far. Tenay utterly failed to sell Mexican America’s attempt to use illegal leverage (at least Taz mentioned that it was illegal… then he ruined any credit he had with me by calling the match “ass-tastic”

BOUND FOR GLORY SERIES MATCH: Pope vs. Devon- 5/10. I don’t get this booking at all. I liked the stuff at the beginning and the thing after the match with Devon not wanting to shake, but doing so because his kids asked him to… but I just don’t get the booking at all.

RVD & JERRY LYNN SEGMENT- interesting

TNA KNOCKOUTS’ TITLE MATCH: Mickie James(c) vs. Winter (w/Angelina Love)- 4/10. Crappy overbooked finish. Just have the interference be the finish. Screw this stupid mist crap. That was the weakest mist I have ever seen, too. It just looked like Winter spit at Mickie.

KENDRICK & ARIES SEGMENT- GREAT!

BOUND FOR GLORY SERIES MATCH: Crimson vs. Rob Van Dam (w/Jerry Lynn)- 5.75/10. Lame finish, but it is definitely going somewhere (the DQ also keeps Crimson within catchable range of everyone else). Taz was particularly good in selling this angle.

ANDERSON PROMO- good stuff

FORTUNE (Kaz, Daniels, & AJ Styles) vs. IMMORTAL (Scott Steiner, Abyss, & Gunner)- 6.5/10.
BULLY RAY PROMO- very good

MR. ANDERSON vs. BULLY RAY- 6.75/10

IMMORTAL SEGMENT- This angle is stupid. No one has any sympathy for Abyss. No one wants to see him turn.

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Beer Money(c) vs. Mexican America- 7/10

TNA WORLD TITLE MATCH: Sting(c) vs. Kurt Angle- 7.25/10. Sting’s best match in a long time. I didn’t like Kurt cheating. It goes against everything that built up to this match!

Throughout the night, Tenay was just 100% underselling everyone’s offense. He needs to be replaced.

Overall, this show was mediocre. Nothing too bad, but nothing too good, either. Certainly not worth the money TNA wanted for it.
