Good stuff from the young boys.
ALEX SHELLEY, MAXIMO, & BUSHI vs. SUZUKI-GUN (El Depserado, TAKA Michinoku, & Taichi)- 6.5/10
How is it that pulling the ref out of the ring and then holding him in a headlock is not a DQ? Other than that, though, this was pretty good. The heels beat Shelley down after the match and grabbed his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title belt.
YUJI NAGATA, MANABU NAKANISHI, & TIGER MASK IV vs. SATOSHI KOJIMA, HIROYOSHI TENZAN, & JUSHIN â€"THUNDER†LIGER)- 7/10
TenKoji worked over Nakanishi’s head, and they did a great job of using Tiger Mask (and to a lesser extent, Liger), to change the pacing of the match away from the slower pace that the heavyweights were working with each other.
CHAOS (Alex Koslov & Toru Yano) vs. SUZUKI-GUN (Minoru Suzuki & Takashi Iizuka) (w/Suzuki-Gun)- 4/10
The heels win. When Yano or Iizuka are in there, things suck. You’ve heard me say this a million times before. After the match, Iizuka and Yano are still brawling, because this atrocious feud will NEVER end.
HIROSHI TANAHASHI, KUSHIDA, TOGI MAKABE, & TOMOAKI HONMA vs. CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN, TETSUYA NAITO, RYUSUKE TAGUCHI, & HIROOKI GOTO- 7/10
Fun tag team match.
THE BULLET CLUB (Tama Tonga, Doc Gallows, Yujiro Takahashi, Bad Luck Fale, & Karl â€"Machine Gun†Anderson) vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rocky Romero, Tomohiro Ishii, & YOSHI-HASHI) (w/Gedo)- 7.25/10
A decent show from New Japan. Everything was very good, but nothing was even close to bring worth going out of your way to see.
