NJPW Road to the Tokyo Dome: Day 5 (12/19/2014)- Tokyo, Japan

SHO TANAKA vs. YOHEI KOMATSU- 5.75/10
Very enjoyable, but they need to let the young boys start doing more.

JUSHIN â€"THUNDER” LIGER & TIGER MASK IV vs. SUZUKI-GUN (El Desperado & Taichi)- 6/10
Taichi and Desperado are the best heels in wrestling, BY FAR. Their heel tactics are just so infuriating. In this particular match, they went after the babyfaces’ masks. This made Liger very angry. The heels then hit low blows, laid Liger out with his own title belt and pinned him for the win. Then they cut his bodysuit open and CUT THE HORNS OFF OF LIGER’S MASK! Those f*ckers are going to pay for this.

YUJI NAGATA, MANABU NAKANISHI, & BUSHI vs. TOMOAKI HONMA, SATOSHI KOJIMA, & HIROYOSHI TENZAN- 4.75/10
BUSHI botched a senton bomb and had to be stretchered off. Honma and Nagata were great, but the finish, which was Nagata and Nakanishi’s combination enzugiri and flying overhand chop to the head, is just ATROCIOUS.

TORU YANO, YOSHI-HASHI, & KAZUSHI SAKURABA vs. SUZUKI-GUN (Minoru Suzuki, Takashi Iizuka, & TAKA Michinoku)- 1/10
So they this spot where Suzuki runs into the ring and uses his tape to choke YOSHI-HASHI. The ref catches him and makes him to back to the apron, but while this is happening, Iizuka, the legal man for his team, did the same thing. The referee caught him too and made him break it up, then threw the tape out of the ring. Then Iizuka pinned YOSHI-HASHI… and the referee just decided not to count the pin.
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
LISTEN UP, YOU DUMB F*CKER! IF YOU THINK THEIR CHEATING DESERVED A DQ, DISQUALIFY THEM! IF YOU DON’T THINK IT DESERVED A DQ, THEN COUNT THE F*CKING PINFALL! IT’S NOT THAT F*CKING DIFFICULT!

Oh look. Now Yano and Iizuka are doing THE SAME F*CKING SPOTS THEY’VE BEEN DOINGIN EVERY DAMN MATCH FOR SEVEN F*CKING MONTHS NOW! I can’t wait for tomorrow night’s show so I can just skip their f*cking match and actually get to see Suzuki and Sakuraba in a match that doesn’t suck!
The fact that this match isn’t a dud is purely based on how great those two were in the last ninety seconds or so of this match.

HIROOKI GOTO & KATSUYORI SHIBATA vs. TETSUYA NAITO & CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN- 6.75/10

TEN MAN ELIMINATION TAG TEAM MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe, Kota Ibushi, Ryusuke Taguchi, & KUSHIDA vs. CHAOS (Shinsuke Nakamura, Tomohiro Ishii, Kazuchika Okada, Gado, & Jedo)- 7/10
In this match you can get eliminated the normal way or by going over the top rope (you know… so no one has to actually get beaten in this ten man elimination tag team match). The match was decently fun, and there was some very good action, but it didn’t really do much to make me want to see any of the PPV matches aside from Ishii vs. Makabe.

An okay show from New Japan, really only notable for the mask angle.
