BRM Reviews CHIKARA King of Trios 2009: Night 1

All of these were First Round matches in the 2009 King of Trios Tournament:

1. Team EPIC WAR (Austin Aries, Ryan Drago & Tony Kozina) vs. the F1rst Family (Arik Cannon, Ryan Cruz, Darin Corbin)- 5.25/10.

2. Osirian Portal (Amasis, Ophidian, & Escorpion Egipcio) vs. Team PWG (the Young Bucks & El Generico)- 6.75/10

3. The Roughnecks (Brodie Lee, Eddie Kingston, & Grizzly Redwood) vs. Team Uppercut (Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, & Dave Taylor)- 5/10. Not that exciting, but lots of fun.

4. Da Soul Touchaz vs. Team CZW (Beef Wellington, Greg Excellent, & Pinkie Sanchez)- 6.5/10.

5. The Deathmatch Kings (Necro Butcher, Toby Klein, & Brain Damage) vs. F.I.S.T.- I really dind't enjoy the first half of the match. It was just a pitiful excuse for a brawl

6. The Future is Now (Helios, Equinox, & Lince Dorado) vs. Team DDT (Kota Ibushi, KUDO, & Michael Nakazawa)- 8/10! Cool, past-paced wrestling and some good comedy involving Nakazawa.

7. Incoherence (Delirious, Hallowicked, & Frightmare) vs. The Masters of 1,000 Holds (Mike Quackenbush, Skyade, & Johnny Saint)- 7.5/10. A pure wrestling match. Even at age 67 and looking like a flabby old man, JOHNNY SAINT CAN STILL GO!

8. The Cold Front 2.0 (Al Snow, Glacier & D'Lo Brown) vs. The UnStable (Colin Delaney, STIGMA, & Vin Gerard)- 6.25/10.

Overall this was a pretty good show, especially for round one of a tournament.
