Bray Wyatt returns to the ring at WWE Starrcade
Bray Wyatt returns to the ring at WWE Starrcade
Source: f4wonline.com
After a brief hiatus, Bray Wyatt made his return to in-ring action tonight at WWE Starrcade.
He made a surprise appearance, subbing for Braun Strowman in a match against Baron Corbin, who issued an open challenge. Wyatt accepted and eventually won the match. Both Finn Balor and Elias came out to beat up Corbin after the bout.
Wyatt hasn’t been seen on WWE television since September, when he and Matt Hardy lost to the Revival. He was teaming with Matt Hardy until Hardy decided to take time off due to a back injury, effectively breaking up the team. After teaming together on a September 15 Raw house show, Wyatt vanished from the road.
It isn’t known if Wyatt’s return will air on the WWE Network tomorrow, where a hour-long version of Starrcade will be shown. Announced for the telecast is AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe in a steel cage match, an eight woman tag tag match, a segment where Elias will perform with Ric Flair and a Miz TV segment with WWE United States champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Rey Mysterio.

As much as I'm surprised to say so...maybe he could actually add some freshness to today's stuff...just don't say "MAAAANNN!" every other sentence with a ridiculous accent or he's out of here.

So instead of building up heat for their heel, they had him lose, then get beaten up by three dudes.

There's no reason to. He's shit and everyone knows it and they know it, and they know everyone knows they know it, and as a heel who's just shit, as I said, there's no real reason to put actual heat on someone so level.
He's not far from a comedy jobber at times lol.

He has his heat, he's not getting any hotter, so why not? Give Bray a feel good return, give the fans something to cheer, I don't see the problem. It's not like Bray beat him in a squash with a 5 Count, then continued the beatdown after the bell single handed.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Nov 25th, '18, 10:53 So instead of building up heat for their heel, they had him lose, then get beaten up by three dudes.
It's fine. Everything is fine.
Except this "Bray as a babyface" thing. Sorta dulls his edge, it's gonna be a grind...

The win might not have made him hotter, but having him get beaten isn't good, either. Have him lose by DQ or something. And having three babyfaces beat the guy down is not good, either, especially when he just lost cleanly so it's not like he did anything to deserve the beating.Bob-O wrote: ↑Nov 25th, '18, 11:53He has his heat, he's not getting any hotter, so why not? Your whole line of reasoning is counterproductive...because...Who cares about Corbin!!???!??

He is essentially...."punching bag to the faces."
Not much more else.

Furthermore. He's not top heel #1. Or anything close. Far from it. A jerk, a fool, and an absolute bitch. He does not, should not, has no reason to be protected whatsoever, especially if someone else can prosper from it that needs it. Sure...he has a "role"...but it clearly isn't very important so that's pretty much all there is to it.

then just fire the guy and let him be used properly in probably any other promotionKILLdozer wrote: ↑Nov 25th, '18, 22:52 Furthermore. He's not top heel #1. Or anything close. Far from it. I mean there's not a lot they can do with him. They tried but he's just so bad and boring.cero2k wrote: ↑Nov 26th, '18, 08:21then just fire the guy and let him be used properly in probably any other promotionKILLdozer wrote: ↑Nov 25th, '18, 22:52 Furthermore. Re: Bray Wyatt returns to the ring at WWE Starrcade
there was a lot that could had been done with him, but like every other monster in WWE, they just fed him the big babyfaces with zero follow up. The dude is really good at what he did, but he did it over and over and over and over again and it never led to anything. He could had been the top evil angle of a whole season, but unfortunately, he came up when Hunter and Steph wanted to be the center piece of every show. He is the poster boy of 'creative has nothing for you'

Re: Bray Wyatt returns to the ring at WWE Starrcade
To clarify, I wasn't talking actual talent wise...more so the way he is used and portrayed as to his position is concerned...whereas BRM (surprisingly) jumped up, flipped the table, and (almost) got coffee on Bob-O and I, lambasted the decision "protect the heel! Don't have him lose!". I just merely think as far as where he is right now...it's not very consequential.

Idk. I used to be in the Corbin camp and was actually excited to see he might be going places last year with the case...then he lost due to Cena's shenanigans. Typing that left a bad taste in my mouth actually. Then his hairline got worse and worse, his mic weakness showed...and of course....like no rip, no jack going on there....soooo....
Edit-Alright! Here we go! Let's open a whole big discussion on pros and cons on Corbin!
Choose sides now-who's for and who's against?
He's definitely show he has some quickness in agile bursts...his "sliding out of the ring and then quickly coming back in with a clothesline" is a perfect example. A couple of different and slightly innovative moves-End of days...what's the other one? The ridiculous spin out powerbomb I think?
