-- All Elite Wrestling is in talks with Turner on a broadcast deal that would see pro wrestling return to their airwaves for the first time in 18 years.

However, there is no signed deal as of now, reports our Dave Meltzer.

This verifies a Thursday report in The Wrap that Tony Khan's new wrestling project is talking with the former home of WCW. However, Meltzer says the idea in the piece of going with a season vs. a year-round weekly product is not accurate.

He also could not confirm TNT would be the destination for AEW, but that it is one of the suitors in play. AEW has not commented at this point.

Last week, new AEW hire Jim Ross said a two-hour show will debut this October on a major cable network which was verified by Meltzer Sunday. Meltzer added that two major US broadcast outlets that offer streaming services are interested in AEW.

If this deal was to move forward, Turner has several possible homes for AEW programming in addition to their sports-centric streaming service B/R Live. Turner Sports did dabble in streaming PPV last Thanksigiving with the Tiger Woods vs. Phil Mickelson golf challenge, but it was a technical disaster leading to the stream being made available for everyone free of charge and refunds for those who paid.

For decades, Turner was the home of pro wrestling on TBS and TNT, a relationship that ended when Turner canceled wrestling on both stations in 2001.

There will be more on AEW's search for a broadcast home in the new Wrestling Observer Newsletter, out Thursday.

-- Kenny Omega and PAC will be on opposite sides of a six-man tag match at All Elite Wrestling's event with CEO Fighting Game Championships.

It was announced today that Omega & The Young Bucks will team against PAC & Pentagon Jr. & Fenix at AEW Fyter Fest. The show is taking place at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida on Saturday, June 29.

The Young Bucks have been feuding with The Lucha Bros and will defend their AAA Tag Team titles against them at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas on May 25. Omega is facing Chris Jericho at Double or Nothing, while PAC is wrestling Hangman Page.

This is the second year in a row that Omega has been involved with a pro wrestling event that's in partnership with CEO's gaming convention. CEO x NJPW When Worlds Collide took place in Daytona Beach last June.

The Fyter Fest name was announced earlier this week and is a reference to the failed Fyre Fest music festival from 2017. CEO organizer Alex Jebailey vs. AEW's Michael Nakazawa in a hardcore match is also set for Fyter Fest, with it being a rematch of their comedy match from the CEO x NJPW pre-show.

Tickets for Fyter Fest will go on sale in early May. AEW Fight for the Fallen is taking place in Jacksonville two weeks after Fyter Fest.

Bad move already. Cable Television is just about dead and over at this point. It's all about your platforms and streaming now.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

Not at all, not a single casual viewer will subscribe to a streaming service of something they don't know. Plus one's own streaming doesn't get you guaranteed money like selling your show to TV. People still watch more TV than random streaming services.

The only streaming service that it be worth selling to would be DAZN, but they still haven't made any attempts into getting wrestling.

I mean in my daily experience....cable's done. So I'd never go out of my way to watch these boys on Television.

Actually-I'd never go out of my way to these boys at all!

Heh-heh-heh! (You knew it was coming...)

Cable is no more dead than broadcast, and Turner has several perfectly fine, easy to find channels.

I guess I'm misinformed...but I just feel like the cable television era is behind us or all but phased out.

just compare RAW/Smackdown numbers to NXT. NXT being faaaar superior means nothing against a cable show.
