With the show now under two weeks away, AEW has added a couple of matches to the card for Double or Nothing.

During this week's episode of Being the Elite, two tag matches were announced for Double or Nothing. Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) will face Angelico & Jack Evans, while Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki & Emi Sakura will team against Hikaru Shida, Riho & Ryo Mizunami in a six-woman tag match.

Angelico & Evans joining AEW was revealed last week. Best Friends had been involved in a storyline where they were refusing to be in the battle royal at Double or Nothing and demanding to be in a different match.

Dave Meltzer reported in the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Riho has signed a five-show deal with AEW and wants to see how she likes working in the United States before she commits to a longer deal. Aja Kong and Sakazaki were announced for Double or Nothing at February's ticket announcement party, while Shida signing with AEW was confirmed in April.

Double or Nothing is taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 25. Here's the updated card:

Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho

AAA Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks defending against The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix)

Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes

Hangman Page vs. PAC

Dr. Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose vs. Kylie Rae

SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) vs. Strong Hearts (CIMA, T-Hawk & El Lindaman)

Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki & Emi Sakura vs. Hikaru Shida, Riho & Ryo Mizunami

Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) vs. Angelico & Jack Evans

Casino Battle Royale (pre-show, winner gets a title shot against the AEW World Champion)

Sammy Guevara vs. Kip Sabian (pre-show)

there's already a belt and for all means, Page vs PAC's build started around that belt. I'm sure they'll present the belt at DON and if this guy becomes one of the contenders in the inaugural match, i'm all for it

It's still weird to announce this before officially announcing that Page vs. PAC is for the belt.

Also, why do Page and PAC get to be the only two guys with a chance to become the first champion? Seems to me that the best thing to do would be a one-night eight-man tournament. You only need to pay eight wrestlers instead of the usual 18-24, and with AEW's top guys and cult audience that's not going to hurt sales at all, so it should be easier to make money on the show, plus a tournament makes the belt feel a lot more legit than just picking two dudes and having them fight over it when the rest of the card has guys like Omega, Jericho, Fenix, Penta, etc. who people would naturally assume would already be top contenders to any world title. Also, waiting until another show would give you more time to negotiate with Moxley.

i don't think PAC vs Page will be for the belt, but i think however they decide to crown a champion later on, their match may have some stipulation that builds into either getting into it.

DON should be the show where they present the title, the announce the television info, and announce the September show, and among all that, they should be telling us the plans on how the champ will be crowned. I trust they'll crown their champion in a tournament, if they're going for the sports feel, i doubt it'll be an rumble or anything like that. Maybe ALL IN 2 will be a one night tournament show.
