Raw saw good news in the ratings last night with a seven percent increase from last week, doing 2.48 million viewers and finishing third for the night.

Raw lost only to Hannity (3.06 million viewers) and Tucker Carlson Tonight (3.03 million), beating a number of news shows they usually fall behind.

Raw also beat CBS and FOX programming head-to-head.

The key was the lessening of the third-hour drop. The show grew in the second hour and fell in the third hour, but hour three actually beat hour one, which has been a rarity in recent years.

The hour one-to-three viewer movement saw an eight percent increase in women 18-49, a three percent increase in men 18-49, a 16 percent increase in teenage girls, and a 36 percent increase in teenage boys. Women actually peaked in the third hour, as did teenage boys.

The third hour was built around a Roman Reigns angle with Samoa Joe, a Miz-Shawn Michaels-Dolph Ziggler angle that led to the return of Goldberg, and a four-way Women's Tag Team title match that ended with Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross becoming champions.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 2.41 million viewers
9 p.m. 2.57 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.44 million viewers
