Enzo Amore and Big Cass could be returning to WWE NXT soon.
WWE officials have been in talks with the former tag team about a surprise return to be top stars on the black & yellow brand, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
There's no word yet on if Enzo and Cass have accepted the offer, but they have been in talks. They recently returned to the indie scene together, as nZo and CaZXL. Obvious speculation would have them return on the September 18 NXT USA Network premiere, but the Observer speculated that Vince McMahon could save them for week three, which is head-to-head with the AEW TNT premiere on October 2.

I don't see it happening... unless they're doing it as part of a deal so that Enzo doesn't sue for them wrongful termination (IIRC he was technically fired for not telling them about the rape investigation, but it later came out that he didn't even know he was being investigated).

I don't really know how Vince figures they'd be the decider in the ratings.

Controversy=ratings pop... or so the theory goes... although I'm pretty sure that has been disproven by now.

I just want their theme to be the "CONSENSUAL P*NIS" part of Enzo's rap looped over and over again.
NWK Reviews is closed for business for now.

Looks like Meltz is hitting the backspace button on his "scoop" anyway lol
But...
WWE rolls NXT out first. If they close NXT the week before with the exact same jump the guardrail shit ROH tried at MSG, you don't think that'd move the needle against AEW's debut the next week? You don't think a company with Heyman and Bischoff in Vince's ear could create some massive buzz, especially with firepower like Enzo on the mic and Cass in monster shape? Do you honestly think they were done at simply getting NXT on live Wednesday nights? Done at rolling out a few weeks early? Just going to go about business as usual the night of AEW's debut? C'mon now... the man that saw no threat in TNA ~just happened~ to get Shawn and Brett in the same ring for the first time since the screwjob on TNA's Monday night rollout. Y'all are nuts if you think there isn't something in the works...
In a Hulk Hogan kind of way, and Enzo and Cass invasion would work in WWE, only in WWE, and would be such a Vince McMahon move to pull.
But...
I'm curious as to this line of thinking.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Aug 29th, '19, 11:17Controversy=ratings pop... or so the theory goes... although I'm pretty sure that has been disproven by now.

Anyone who still believes that has been spending too much time with Eric Bischoff.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Aug 29th, '19, 11:17Controversy=ratings pop... or so the theory goes... although I'm pretty sure that has been disproven by now.
