In this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that last Sunday's AEW Revolution is likely to achieve the best pay-per-view numbers in company history and the best of any non-WWE show in the U.S. since 1999.
Meltzer said that while the linear PPV buys are still unknown, the B/R Live numbers were up more than 50% from November's Full Gear while international numbers were up between 20-40%. Last year's Double or Nothing generated a company-best 120,000 buys which Revolution is expected to surpass if the linear buys see a similar increase to the streaming ones.
Meltzer reported the gross is close to $7 million with AEW taking home roughly 50% with their distribution partners (traditional PPV providers, B/R Live, Fite TV, etc.) taking their cut.
The show was headlined by the company's first-ever exploding barbed wire deathmatch featuring AEW Champion Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley in addition to it being their first-ever Sunday pay-per-view.

How many wanted their money back for such a shitty finish...
But seriously, those is good numbers for such a young company.
