Andrade appeared in video at tonight’s AAA Rey de Reyes event and challenged Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega title at TripleMania.

Towards the end of tonight’s Rey de Reyes, a video aired featuring Andrade. He said that his second goal was to face Psycho Clown, but the first goal was Kenny Omega. He eventually issued a challenge for Omega’s AAA Mega Heavyweight title at TripleMania. You can see the full video below:





The challenge comes as Andrade has signed two major matches in recent days, his first dates since being released from his WWE contract. He is set to appear on Federacion Wrestling’s debut event on June 19 in a multi-man tag match and will also face Alberto el Patron in Texas on July 31.

Kenny Omega has held the AAA Mega title since October 19, 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic he has only appeared for the company sporadically. He most recently defended it at TripleMania XXVIII in December, retaining against Laredo Kid. He also holds the AEW World title and most recently won the Impact World title.

There is no date set for this year’s TripleMania event.

We haven't heard anything, but I would imagine the NJPW x ROH relationship is not dead, even with NJPW working with Impact AND AEW and CMLL breaking ties with ROH.

I'm actually assuming that NJPW will go with the Munoz promotion for the same reason ROH is. The NJPW/TNA thing is still something of a shock to me.
