When Daniel Bryan, Kane and CM Punk square off during Sunday’s No Way Out pay-per-view with A.J. at ringside, there will be plenty of great wrestling to satisfy the smart wrestling fans.
There will also be much more than that; this will bring great wrestling to the masses.
With storylines intertwining, plenty of moving parts and major superstars making this WWE title scene interesting, fans from all walks of life will fall in love with the technical wizardry of the match's performers.
Who Kane Appeals To

While many snarky fans don’t like Kane, he is considerably better than most men his size in wrestling. For as much as he will take away from the technical mastery of this match, he will add the blunt force that fans want to see.Where Kane helps this match the most is with the younger children. As much as hardcore wrestling fans love Bryan versus Punk, their roots in the Indy's aren’t enough to get casual fans to be intrigued.
Adding the big red monster gets the kids that love the WWE icon to enjoy watching Punk and Bryan while realizing that the technical aspect of the fight is just as interesting.
Consider it a life lesson for the young ones.
Who A.J. Appeals To

As much as the WWE tries to downplay it, there is a vast group of female fans that are being alienated by the fact that the company doesn’t care about the women’s division. If they did, there would be more than irrelevant squash matches every four weeks. What is making this Bryan versus Punk feud unique has been the infusion of A.J. into the picture via the classic love triangle storyline. The reason this is new and doesn’t feel recycled is because A.J. is playing the crazy chick so well.
Portions of this storyline seem like they came right from the pages of General Hospital, but it is enough to get even the most casual fans of women’s wrestling excited to see a WWE diva on TV instead of rushing to flip back to something relevant.
How This Helps CM Punk and Daniel Bryan

The WWE is in the process of getting Punk over as the face of RAW while trying to build Bryan as a main-event heel contender. For as great as Jericho is and was, there is more buzz around what Bryan and Punk have going on now with Kane and A.J. than there ever was around Punk and Y2J.With the inclusion of stars that weren’t busy or currently in any major storylines, the WWE title scene isn’t hurting anyone’s character. In fact, this is the kind of story that has made all four stars more relevant than before it all started.
Of course, the snarks will have at it because it’s not straight technical magic, but it is exactly what the WWE wants from a match; everyone walks away getting what they wanted.
