Cero Reviews PWG One Hundred

PWG One Hundred, April 12, 2009, Reseda, CA

PWG Tag Team Titles
The Young Bucks (C) vs The Cutler Brothers - 8/10
I've never been a fan of the image of the Cutler brothers, but boy, these guys are great wrestlers. You can't really ask for more in an opening match.

Scott Lost vs Roderick Strong - 7/10
Scott Lost was so underrated. This match was great, a lot of stiff looking hits from both guys! The match kinda slowed down after the second half, but still great wrestling.

Brian Danielson vs Kenny Omega - 6/10
One of the funniest matches I've ever seen. This is the infamous match with the "Spot That Never Ends." Wasn't really a fan of the finish thou. Wrestling-wise the match gets a generous 6, but only because there wasn't a lot of it.

Paul London vs Joey Ryan - 7/10
This was one of those PWG matches that you wish to have been there for the entrances, but oh well... Nice little outside brawl, I don't know if the match seem so much serious because we were coming from the Danielson/Omega match, but Joey was really taking it to London for the longest time. There was a botch from London, it was nice that no one hated, and it wasn't even necessary for the commentary to hide it. I'm not a big fan of dirty finishes, but since there aren't so many of them, at least in PWG, it kinda makes it meaningful to have it.

6 Men....I mean 6 Person Tag Team match
B-Boy, Candice LeRae, Scorpio Sky vs Austin Aries, Human Tornado, and Chuck Taylor - 6.5/10
I screamed at the Human Tornado pimp slap on B-Boy, the i screamed louder at the response. Some shenannigans here and there, but overall great wrestling. In the words of Excalibur, "There is a lot of ball play in this match"

Tyler Black vs Davey Richards - 7.5/10
Not the best, but another great match from these two guys. Some parts of the match felt like any other Richards/Black match.

El Generico vs Sonjay Dutt - 7/10
The commentary made this match. The wrestling was good, I honestly had a hard time focusing. Sonjay was particularly good. "Sweet Cart-wheeling Jesus".

PWG World Heavyweight Title Match
Chris Hero (C) vs Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana - 8.5/10
The most technical match of the night, Cabana obviously adds a lot of comedy, yet still a really competitive match in the mat. Hero was just on the ball for this match. The finish was a bit out of nowhere, but great hit nonetheless. I think this match was just minutes short from being a perfect 10.

Aftermath - Great!

Hybrid Dolphins Promo - The best promo ever, hands down.

Generico/Excalibur/Taylor/Omega thing. Amazing!

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
I think this is the funniest show I've ever seen. Plus amazing wrestling.

Notes:
- Tony Romo is famous for his ribs.
- Color Commentary mic was really low. Too bad cuz some things I heard were hilarious.
- Austin Aries stuffs his trunks.
- Davey was funny on commentary.
