Kurt Angle Resigns With TNA

Kurt Angle is believed to have signed a part-tie deal with TNA. Kurt’s deal will allow him to wrestle and pursue acting work at the same time. The story of Kurt’s signing actually broke on the Wrestling Observer website and it has been expected that he would be staying with TNA. Stories about WWE offering him a full-time deal are inaccurate. WWE would never offer someone with Kurt’s history of injuries a full-time deal as a performer, especially at his age.

Dixie Carter will make an announcement at some point, possibly when they announce their new TV deal. There were talks between Angle and WWE but WWE showed no interest in bringing him back. As noted before, Vince McMahon was leery of bringing him back because he was afraid of something happening to him on their watch.

So does this mean that there already is a new TV deal signed, but it hasn't been announced yet?

this is the rumor i've been hearing, that the announcement would come any day now. But i think Meltzer and Alvarez did mention that they haven't heard anything concrete yet

Dave has been stressing since day 1 that in the TV business, nothing is concrete until it is actually signed, and until it is actually signed, anything can happen.

Of course, TNA has been saying "any day now" for about four months, so I'll take it with a grain of salt.

this is out today, didn't want to post it since these news articles seem to never have a resolution, if true, we'll get the actuall scoop by the end of the week
TNA Executive Vice President John Gaburick is in New York City right now supposedly finalizing a television deal for TNA.
We first reported back in September that TNA had booked three dates at the Manhattan Center in New York City in January. It appears as if the company will not be waiting until January, and will shoot new TV as soon as possible once the deal is finalized.

Good. Six weeks of re-runs at the end would have been a death sentence.
