Lawler just casually mentioned this on Raw. I thought he was just out with an injury.

i knew he was pretty much on his way out of the door, but it was never announced or confirmed, i figured he could still come back to some rumble appearance or something, an RVD schedule or something...

maybe it's kayfabe and he will return with the 'one more match' gimmick
