Lance Storm 'Pissed Off' At Last Night's RAW

Former WWE Superstar Lance Storm noted on social media that he turned off tonight’s edition of WWE RAW as a way of protesting the show after watching The Ascension’s promo.

Storm made it clear that he took exception to The Ascension mocking the legendary Road Warriors tag-team during their pre-match promo on the show. He mentioned that it wasn’t a nice move to have someone mock a wrestler who has passed away.

Seems like an overreaction. I'll admit that I was a bit surprised, but I don't think it was a "shut off the TV" offense. Then again, Lance probably knew Hawk personally.

According to Meltzer, the idea with the burying the Ascension was that we, the fans, were supposed to be pissed at the Ascension for claiming to be better than these legendary tag teams, so JBL was merely saying what we were supposed to all be thinking. It's a stupid reason, but at least it's a reason.

Lance's defense of this is basically that he didn't like that they were insulting a friend of his who had passed away, and he wasn't enjoying the show anyway, so he changed the channel, and everyone is overreacting to what he did.

his radio show with Bryan Alvarez this week was worth listening to (I mean, it always is, but you really do get a feel for where Lance was coming from with this).
