Former WWE Superstar Lance Storm noted on social media that he turned off tonight’s edition of WWE RAW as a way of protesting the show after watching The Ascension’s promo.
Storm made it clear that he took exception to The Ascension mocking the legendary Road Warriors tag-team during their pre-match promo on the show. He mentioned that it wasn’t a nice move to have someone mock a wrestler who has passed away.
Below are some of Storm’s tweets.

Seems like an overreaction. I'll admit that I was a bit surprised, but I don't think it was a "shut off the TV" offense. Then again, Lance probably knew Hawk personally.

I too got pissed off at this, but not necessarily because of what The Ascension said of The Road Warriors. It's pretty common to claim that you're better than your predecessors, but when The Ascension did it, the commentators took a steaming sh*t all over them through their whole match. How the hell are we supposed to get behind a new team when the commentators are bashing them the whole time?

I know, JBL especially, someone pissed on his coffee that morning.

And, surprisingly, they were shitting on Roman in his match too, up until he speared Show and the stairs landed on him. Then they changed their tune pretty fast.
This whole RAW was just shit for commentary.

According to Meltzer, the idea with the burying the Ascension was that we, the fans, were supposed to be pissed at the Ascension for claiming to be better than these legendary tag teams, so JBL was merely saying what we were supposed to all be thinking. It's a stupid reason, but at least it's
a reason.

Was I the only one cracking up at their disrespect?
"We're gonna knock 'em right off the road!", was ridiculous and hilarious at the same damn time!
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

It was about as lame as everything else they have said since coming up to the main roster.

Everything they've said so far just sounds baaaaaad. I feel for the guys, it's not their idea to say this crap. But this is such a terrible gimmick, how the hell are they supposed to get over.

From today's Observer/F4W news update:
--Road Warrior Animal on Facebook said he didn't really care about the Ascension promo. He said he didn't see it and probably won't watch it but it's the wrestling business, and if it helps them get over, good for them.

Lance Storm is just a big fucking baby. MNM said way worse when they were feuding with Animal and Heidenreich.

Lance's defense of this is basically that he didn't like that they were insulting a friend of his who had passed away, and he wasn't enjoying the show anyway, so he changed the channel, and everyone is overreacting to what he did.
his radio show with Bryan Alvarez this week was worth listening to (I mean, it always is, but you really do get a feel for where Lance was coming from with this).

Well like you always say: It pissed him off, which is exactly what it was supposed to do. Also, as Animal said basically, to paraphrase: It's not personal, it's strictly business. "
When they come, they'll come at what you love.
