AR Fox is out of action after suffering a pretty severe concussion from a kick delivered by Trevor Lee on Saturday 1/10 at EVOLVE 37. The punt kick, delivered while Lee was on the apron and charging at Fox, who was standing on the floor, was brutal enough that it caused Fox to chip several teeth when he bit down from the force of the kick and needs dental work done as a nerve in one of the teeth is exposed. EVOLVE immediately stopped the match once it was obvious there was something wrong. Fox underwent a CATscan and will be seeing a concussion specialist this week. He's likely not going to return to the ring for at least a few weeks.
Moose and The Bravados finished up this past weekend. It was a case of the company freshening up the roster as opposed to heat or any of them doing something wrong. Moose is signed with ROH so he'll be there going forward. The Bravados' run here was really, really something as they've turned into pretty damn good workers after their European tours.
Although it's expected he will be signing with WWE, Uhaa Nation is scheduled for the next set of WWNLive.com shows.
At the EVOLVE 36 event, they were a damn awesome brawl between Roderick Strong (who was just ON this weekend, both in the ring and on mic, just incredible stuff) and EVOLVE champion Drew Galloway that ended up with the pair breaking a door as they fought out of the building. Just great stuff and the plan is to let their rivalry, which started a few months back, keep going. By the way, I write this a lot, but every time you watch Galloway, you can't help but wonder why in the world WWE didn't use him in a prominent role, much less released him.
Both EVOLVE 36 and 37 are now up from Video on Demand replays on the WWNLive.com website. I watched 36 this morning and the Strong vs. Galloway match as well as Ricochet vs. Timothy Thatcher bouts are just awesome. We heard the streams were absolutely perfect live and you can watch the VOD replays by clicking here to log into or sign up for a WWNLive.com account. Caleb Konley, who was scheduled to originally main event this weekend, suffered a dislocated elbow and is expected out of action 4-6 weeks. His work has been really good, so this was a setback that really sucked for him. Konley recently signed a contract extension with WWNLive.com.
Gabe Sapolsky noted that beyond the Fox injury, which he "absolutely hated seeing happen", WWNLive.com was thrilled with the weekend. The company stuck with it's new format of six matches a show with everything having the time to mean something and stand out.
Lots of raves for Timothy Thatcher's work against Ricochet and Roderick Strong over the weekend. Thatcher has also signed a contract extension here. They ran an angle over the weekend where Thatcher and Biff Busick each issued challenges for Chris Hero for Wrestlemania week, so that's the direction they are going.
Former TNA star So Cal Val debuted over the weekend and will be a regular here, working with Tony Nese's Premier Athlete Brand stable.
