RE: the Roman Reigns cussing "scandal"
I would do my best to make sure this appears to be as much of a shoot as possible. Vince would know, Hunter & Steph would know, Kevin Dunn and the guy responsible for pressing the bleep button in the truck would know (and I'd tell the bleeper guy to be a split second too late), and that's it. Maybe Miz, too, just to make sure he knows not to freak out when Reigns says it. And I'd probably tell Cole just a few minutes in advance.
My thinking on this is that it is late enough at night that you are TECHNICALLY allowed to say it on the air, and that the swift action punishing Mr. Reigns and pulling him out of shows he is advertised for will seem like I am being proactive with the punishment.
Whatever criticism and fines might be flung my way would also give me a good gauge of the sort of adversity I would face if I decided to push the envelope like this on rare occasions in the future.
Most importantly, though, it should get Reigns over as having kind of a badass attitude.

On Tuesday morning, WWE.com announces the following matches for this week’s WWE programming: Miz & Kofi vs. International Airstrike 2.0 for Main Event, Miz vs. Tensai for Superstars, Tyson Kidd vs. David Otunga for Superstars, and Cody Rhodes vs. Michael McGillicutty for Smackdown, and Kane vs. R-Truth for Smackdown.
Also signed was a big six man tag team match for Elimination Chamber, pitting Kane, Kofi Kingston, & Tensai against Bray Wyatt, Luker Harper and Brodus Clay of the Wyatt Family!

Main Event: (7/16/2014)-

The show opens with Miz, Del Rio, and Ricardo coming out to the ring. Miz rudely demands that Steph come out and “enforce justice.” He says that a disrespectful, foul-mouthed disgrace like Roman Reigns should be suspended for much more than just a few days. Miz reminds us that he is a big Hollywood star and that he does TV interviews all the time and he knows how much trouble you can bring down on yourself and on your show by uttering an obscenity on the air, and Reigns did just that. Someone who would put the WWE at such great risk does not deserve a shot at the IC Title, and thus Steph should do the just thing and award Miz, the rightful winner of the IC Title #1 Contendership Round Robin Tournament, the title shot at Elimination Chamber instead.
Steph comes out and is furious at how rude Miz is being. She says she has had enough of his crap. If he wants her to “enforce justice” then that is just what she will do… starting with suspending Miz, Del Rio, and Ricardo for today and tomorrow, because even though there is no physical evidence to prove it, we all know that they were the ones who attacked Jack Swagger after Sunday’s WWE Live Event.
The heels try to protest, but Steph tells them to get the hell out of her ring. She then calls out Kofi and tells him that he had better find a new partner for his match tonight against International Airstrike. Kofi says he already has someone in mind. He whispers it to Steph, who says she thinks that is a great idea: tonight’s new main event will be the WWE World Tag Team Champions International Airstrike 2.0 taking on Kofi Kingston… and the BIG SHOW!

SHEAMUS vs. TENSAI-
Sheamus wins clean in nine minutes

FOUR CORNERS MATCH FOR A WWE DIVAS TITLE SHOT AT ELIMINATION CHAMBER: Nikki Bella vs. Brie Bella vs. Emma vs. Naomi (w/the Brain Trust)-
AJ is on commentary for this match. Early on, the Brain Trust try to interfere, but AJ points it out to the referee, getting them ejected from ringside. Throughout the match AJ puts all four women over, but expresses her preference to face Emma. She also quickly plugs her husband’s WWE Title defense against Ryback at Elimination Chamber.
The finish of this match comes when Naomi and Nikki are legal and Naomi whips Nikki off the ropes, but Nikki comes back and lays Naomi out with a spear. Nikki runs over to knock Emma off the apron… and while she does, Brie runs into the ring and pins Naomi, having made a blind tag as Nikki came off the ropes. After knocking Emma off the apron, Nikki turns around, shocked to hear the referee counting, and stands there, stunned, as the ref counts the three for her sister.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. KOFI KINGSTON & BIG SHOW-
Airstrike manage to get Show all blown up and run circles around him, ducking or escaping from all of his attacks, before eventually pinning him after hitting both of their big flipping finishers.

On Thursday morning WWE.com announces that Miz’s replacement for tonight’s main event match against Tensai will be none other than the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan!

Superstars: (7/17/2014)-
TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya) vs. DAVID OTUNGA (w/The Brain Trust)-
Kidd wins clean in six minutes, making Otunga tap to the Dungeon Lock.

RYBACK vs. JUSTIN GABRIEL (w/Adrian Neville)-
Ryback wins clean in nine minutes.

TENSAI vs. DANIEL BRYAN (w/AJ Bryan)-
Bryan wins clean in fifteen minutes, making Tensai tap to the Yes Lock.
AJ is on commentary and hypes up her title defense against Brie Bella at Elimination Chamber.

Smackdown: (7/18/2014)- Fayetteville, NC

Throughout the show we video packages with all six guys in the Elimination Chamber (Sheamus, Jericho, Orton, Cena, Rollins, Kidd) hyping the match up and vowing to win the World Heavyweight Title.
-Orton’s is focused on his new-found aggression and ruthlessness.
-Cena’s focuses on the possibility of him winning the World Heavyweight Title in this match and also cashing in his WWE Title Money in the Bank Contract and unifying the titles.
-Jericho’s focuses on the fact that he came back to WWE to become a world champion again.
-Rollins’ is focused on the fact that winning the World Heavyweight Title would mean he would no longer just be the future of the WWE, but also become its present.
- Kidd’s is focused on how badly he wants to win his first world title after almost twenty years in the business, and his big pinfall win over Sheamus in their non-title match two weeks ago is a sign that it is coming.
-Sheamus’ is focused on the fact that he has been World Heavyweight Champion for an astounding TWENTY-SEVEN AND A HALF MONTHS now, and he has plowed through every obstacle that has been thrown in his way so far.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER & CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
PTP wins clean in fifteen minutes when Darren pins Ziggler after PTP hit their finish. After the match, the Colons come out and brawl with PTP until security pulls them apart.

Daniel and AJ Bryan both cut backstage promos hyping up their title defenses on Sunday at Elimination Chamber.

R-TRUTH vs. KANE (w/Kofi Kingston & Tensai)-
Kane squashes Truth. After the match, Kofi cuts a promo saying that he, Kane, and Tensai will end Bray’s reign of terror over the WWE and stop him from manipulating and corrupting people by taking him out.

Damien Sandow cuts a backstage promo vowing that he will defeat that foul-mouthed uncultured punk Roman Reigns and retain his IC Title at Elimination Chamber.

ANTONIO CESARO vs. TENSAI-
Cesaro wins clean with the Neutralizer in ten minutes. After the match, Cesaro cuts a promo pointing out that Mark Henry might claim that no one was able to pin him in the IC Title Round-Robin #1 Contendership Tournament, but Mark wasn’t able to pin him, either, as they wound up going to a double count-out. Cesaro says he is challenging Henry to a match at Elimination Chamber. Henry comes out and says that he’ll accept the match, but wants to make sure that Cesaro won’t “cheat” him the way that Bourne and Miz did, and the way that McGillicutty tried to do by winning via count-out. Steph comes out and offers to make the match a Falls Count Anywhere match, and both Henry and Cesaro accept.

Renee Young is backstage interviewing the new #1 contender to the WWE Divas Title, Brie Bella. Brie says she will beat AJ and win the title. Nikki shows up and says that SHE was the one who put Naomi down for the count and says that Brie stole her pin. Brie scoffs and responds “it’s called teamwork, Nicole.”

We get a video package where the Usos remind us that they beat International Airstrike in their best of five series last winter so they have Airstrike’s number, and thus they will win the WWE World Tag Team Titles from Airstrike at Elimination Chamber.

CODY RHODES vs. MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY-
Cody wins clean in sixteen minutes with the Cross Rhodes, after blocking the same wacky roll-up that Cara used to defeat him twice in the past few weeks. The announcers put this over, and also put over what a great job McGillicutty did, lasting so long against one of the two MITB holders.

Bray Wyatt cuts a backstage promo saying that he has had enough of people like Kane, Tensai, and Kofi questioning his intentions, and he and his Family are going into Elimination Chamber with something to prove.

Miz comes out and claims that his (and Del Rio’s and Ricardo’s) suspension was BS because there is no evidence that they jumped Swagger in the parking lot. Miz claims that he spoke with a witness who has just come forward, and the witness claims that Big Show did it, which Miz says makes sense considering Big Show’s actions over the winter and his vow to prevent the teammates who let him down at Survivor Series from winning any titles. The announcers point out that Show has turned over a new leaf, and speculate that Miz is making it up.
Steph comes out and tells Miz that if he is now so sure that Big Show was the one who attacked Swagger and that he got unfairly punished for Big Show’s crime, then she will give him the chance to get some revenge on Big Show when they meet one-on-one this Sunday at Elimination Chamber! Miz starts to panic and gets scared.

Tom Phillips interviews the Big Show, asking him if he thought that Kofi Kingston was referring to him when he said that Bray Wyatt was “manipulating and corrupting” people. Before Big Show can answer, Bray shows up and tells him that of course Kofi was talking about him, but it isn’t true. He is only trying to help Big Show. He says that Kofi is treating Big Show like a child, but Bray knows better than that. He says that Big Show needs to get in touch with his inner monster if he wants to be able to get through to PTP, and suggests that Show use his newly-booked match against The Miz at Elimination Chamber as a good place to start.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. SIN CARA & KALISTO-
Cody Rhodes is on commentary, scouting Sin Cara for their match at Elimination Chamber. Airstrike win clean with their big flippy finish, pinning Kalisto.

WWE TITLE MATCH CONTRACT SIGNING- Everything goes peacefully. Both Dragon and Ryback get to cut short promos. They shake hands at the end, but Ryback squeezes very hard to emphasize his power and douchebaggery. Dragon sells his hand.

RANDY ORTON vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez & The Miz)-
Orton is very focused and aggressive. When Ricardo tries to interfere, Orton drags him into the ring and hits him with an RKO. The finish comes when Orton hits Del Rio with an RKO. Miz ties to interfere but Orton ducks his clothesline and gives him an RKO as well. Orton then hits Del Rio with a punt and pins him for the win.

Cody Tweets that his father, "the American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, will be at ringside with him tomorrow night at Elimination Chamber!

WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 (7/20/2014)- Tampa, FL

The announcers inform us that Roman Reigns isn’t here yet because his car broke down on the way to the arena. They tell us not to fear because someone has been sent to pick him up, and he is expected to make it to the building on time for his match.

PRE-SHOW MATCH: The Big Show vs. The Miz (w/Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Miz & Pals come out first. The announcers speculate on their relationship with Roman Reigns, and whether Reigns would be out here with them if he were at the building yet.
When Show comes out for his entrance, Bray Wyatt follows him out onto the stage. Bray, mic in hand, implores Show to remember that Miz tried to frame him on Smackdown, and to channel that anger.
The match is very short, with Big Show basically murderizing Miz, Ricardo, and Del Rio. The announcers speculate that between taking Orton’s punt on Smackdown and Big Show’s punch here, Del Rio might well have a concussion.

MAIN SHOW:

CODY RHODES (w/Dusty Rhodes) vs. SIN CARA (w/Kalisto)-
Cody wins clean in twelve minutes with the Cross Rhodes. After the match he cuts a promo vowing that he will be world champion by the next time WWE returns to Tampa. He tells the fans that he failed them last time, but vows that he will not fail again! He will be the world champion by the next time WWE returns to Tampa, and this time he won’t let anything stand in his way.

KANE, KOFI KINGSTON, & TENSAI vs. THE WYATT FAMILY (w/Dean Ambrose)-
Wyatts win in nine minutes when Ambrose hits Tensai with a Kendo Stick, then Harper follows it up with the Steam Roller for the pin. Ambrose sneaks around to the babyfaces’ side of the ring and hits them with the Kendo Stick, which not only hurts them, but takes their attention off of the other Wyatts, who attack them. The Wyatts beat up the babyfaces, and Tensai winds up eating a Monster Tamer into the ring post from Bray, then eats a few chair shots to the head against the ringpost from Ambrose, then the Wyatts wedge his head between the stairs and the ringpost and Harper hits a Steam Roller to the stairs. Tensai is bleeding all over, and needs to be stretchered out. Total time is fifteen minutes.
We take a moment to let the heavy angle sink in before moving on to the…

WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH: AJ Bryan(c) (w/Daniel Bryan) vs. Brie Bella (w/Nikki Bella)-
AJ wins clean in seven minutes, making Brie tap to the Octopus Stretch.

FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH: Antonio Cesaro vs. Mark Henry-
They do a lot of brawling all over, but there isn’t any weapon use. The finish comes in thirteen minutes when Cesaro perches himself on one of those big black equipment boxes and chokes Mark out with a stranglehold. The announcers put over what a feat of strength this is, both to choke Henry out and to lift him off the ground even a little bit.

We are told that Roman Reigns has arrived at the arena. We are also told that both Alberto Del Rio and Tensai have been taking to a local hospital for examination.

WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: International Airstrike 2.0(c) vs. The Usos-
Airstrike win clean in an eighteen minute match full of high-flying and superkicks.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Damien Sandow(c) (w/the Brain Trust) vs. Roman Reigns-
The Brain Trust get ejected from ringside early on. During a ref bump, Otunga tries to come back to ringside, but gets destroyed by a spear from Reigns. Reigns then spears Sandow, but Miz comes out through the crowd, grabs the IC Title from the timekeeper’s table and hits Reigns in the back of the head with it. Miz drags Sandow onto Reigns, then revives the ref, who counts the pin for Sandow. Total time is fourteen minutes.

STREET FIGHT: The Prime Time Players vs. The Colons-
Fifteen minutes of knock-down, drag-out violence. Lots of weapons in this one. PTP pick up the win to finally end the feud.

WWE TITLE MATCH: Daniel Bryan(c) (w/AJ Bryan) vs. Ryback-
They do stuff for about ten minutes, with Ryback’s power dominating most of the match. Dragon starts to make a comeback and appears to be setting up for the Busaiku Knee, so Ryback rolls to the outside. Dragon goes for a dive, but Ryback sees it coming and moves out of the way, gloating about how he has outsmarted Dragon. Unbeknownst to Ryback, though, Dragon managed to stop himself, and is now out on the apron, sizing Ryback up for a flying knee strike. Ryback turns around and Dragon charges… but Ryback manages to duck, it, and Bryan goes crashing into the barricade!
AJ rushes over to make sure that Dragon is okay. When he tells her he is fine, she helps him up, then gives him a quick hug… and then she screams loudly, and shoves her husband out of the way of a charging Ryback! Dragon is unharmed, but Ryback can’t stop himself and goes barreling into AJ, crushing her against the barricade!
Dragon and the referee both run over to check on the barely-moving AJ as Ryback moves aside. They call for medical staff, who come out to help AJ. While this is happening, Ryback just paces around impatiently on the outside. After a minute or two of the medical staff attending to AJ, Ryback grabs Bryan from behind and throws him back into the ring. Ryback quickly follows and covers Dragon, all the while screaming for the ref to come count, but before the ref can get there, Bryan kicks out, yells “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?” at Ryback, then rolls back out to check on his wife.
Ryback is clearly annoyed at this, and he follows Dragon out and again grabs him from behind, but this time he throws him into the ringpost before rolling him into the ring and going for a cover. The ref counts two, but Dragon manages to force Ryback to break the pin by getting his hand up for an absolutely VICIOUS poke to Ryback’s eye. He shouts "WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?!" at the temporarily blinded Ryback, then goes back over to AJ and the medical staff. The medical staff decide that AJ needs to go to the hospital, so AJ, Bryan, and the medical staff all go backstage to an ambulance. Ryback is declared the winner by count-out, but we can tell that he is quite pissed off about both not winning the title and the eye-poke, which he is still selling as he heads up the ramp.

ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Sheamus(c) vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho vs. Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Sheamus and Tyson start us off, and Tyson gets a surprising amount of offense in before the first pod opens, letting Chris Jericho into the match. Next is Rollins, then Cena, then finally Orton.
They do stuff for another ten minutes or so until we get a spot where Cena, Orton, Kidd, and Sheamus are all on the outside, while Rollins is in the ring and Jericho has scaled one of the pods. Jericho comes off the top of the pod for a HUGE crossbody on Rollins, but Rollins counters it with a huge standing dropkick. Rollins takes a moment to recover his breath, then goes for the Curb Stomp on Jericho, but Orton runs into the ring and hits him with an RKO. Sheamus then gets into the ring and charges at Orton with a Brogue Kick, but Orton ducks it, and when Sheamus turns around, Orton drops him with an RKO as well.
Tyson Kidd springs in off the ropes, looking for a springboard neckbreaker… RKO!
Cena charges into the ring with a shoulder tackle, but Orton ducks it, and when Cena comes back off the ropes for another one, Orton hits him with an RK-NO! Cena blocks it, then hits the spin-out powerbomb! Five Knuckle Shuffle! He picks Orton up… AA-NO! ORTON COUNTERS IT INTO AN RKO!
Orton pops back up onto his feet into his pose

AND GETS ROLLED UP BY JERICHO!
ONE!
TWO!

THREE!
Randy Orton has been eliminated!

Jericho collapses to his knees to catch his breath while Orton stands there in complete and total disbelief… then he angrily charges at Jericho and punts him in the skull!
Orton is still seething, but he obeys the referee’s orders and walks out of the chamber.
Sheamus crawls onto Jericho and pins him, eliminating him from the match. The next man out is Rollins, who is eliminated after a Brogue Kick by Sheamus at about the thirty-seven minute mark. Cena is the next man out, also eliminated by a Sheamus Brogue Kick, at the forty-one minute mark. Sheamus and Kidd have a nice little nine-minute mini-match with Kidd getting in a bunch of nearfalls before eating a Brogue Kick for the ONE!
TWO!

THRE-NO!
Tyson kicks out!
Tyson goes on a huge flurry of offense, but eventually succumbs to a second Brogue Kick at just under the fifty minute mark.

The next morning WWE.com releases several injury reports. Del Rio, despite the pounding his head has taken over the weekend, has miraculously managed to escape any injuries.
WWE Divas Champion AJ Bryan has crushed ribs, and will be out for a few weeks.
Tensai suffered a very severe concussion, as well as a severe laceration and some spinal damage, and will have to retire from the WWE.

WWE.com reports that while Chris Jericho did not suffer a concussion in last night’s Elimination Chamber match, he will be kept out of action for a few days as a precaution.
Announced for Raw tonight: The Miz vs. R-Truth, Seth Rollins vs. Ryback, Roman Reigns vs. David Otunga, and a big eight man main event featuring John Cena, Cody Rhodes, & International Airstrike 2.0 vs. Mark Henry, Antonio Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, & Christian.

Raw (7/21/2014)- Miami, FL
The show opens with a big recap from last night’s PPV, focusing on the Wyatt Family ending Tensai’s career, The Miz costing Roman Reigns the IC Title, Orton’s poor sportsmanship and attack on Jericho, and finally AJ’s accidental injury at the hands of Ryback.

After welcoming us to Raw, Lawler gives us the injury report from last night, with the big focus being on AJ. She will be out of action for a few weeks, and WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has returned to their home to care for AJ. We expect Daniel Bryan to be back in a week or two, and hopefully we will hear from him either on Smackdown or on next week’s Raw with an update on AJ’s condition.
Then Michael Cole informs us Roman Reigns and The Miz had a small scuffle backstage about fifty minutes ago, and while there were no injuries, WWE General Manager Stephanie McMahon Helmsley thought it would be best to send both men home for a few days to cool off. As a result of this, R-Truth will now be facing Kane while David Otunga will now be facing Tyson Kidd.

SIN CARA & KALISTO vs. THE USOS-
Cara & Kalisto win clean in twenty minutes of crazy, high-flying actions when Cara pins Jey Uso.

Renee Young interviews Randy Orton backstage. She asks him why he attacked Chris Jericho last night after Jericho had eliminated him from the Elimination Chamber fairly and squarely. Orton admits that he attacked Jericho in a fit of rage, that he wouldn’t have done it if he were more in control of himself, and that attacking Jericho was wrong.
JBL says that is a perfectly good explanation. King says it is “an explanation. That doesn’t excuse what Orton did.” JBL responds by asking King what more he wanted Orton to say. Cole replies that Orton could have at least apologized.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. ZACK RYDER & HEATH SLATER-
PTP win clean in five minutes. The announcers notice a big change in PTP’s attitude now that their war with the Colons is over. They are much happier now. After the match PTP cut a promo plugging their merch, doing their dog bark, and talking about making “millions of dollas.” The announcers note that they haven’t done that since they lost the tag team titles six months ago at the Royal Rumble, and confirm that they are back to their old, happier selves.

Chris Jericho cuts a backstage promo in which he says that he might not be medically cleared to compete tonight, but that doesn’t mean he will let Orton’s assault slide.

THE BIG SHOW & KOFI KINGSTON vs. THE COLONS (w/Rosa Mendes)-
The Colons work over Kofi until Kofi manages to make the hot tag to Big Show, who then completely obliterates the Colons on his own with a series of huge power moves, ending with WMDs to both men. The announcers comment on how dominant Big Show looked, but also on the shocked and worried expression on Kofi’s face.

Sheamus cuts a promo about his hard-fought victory in the Elimination Chamber last night. He puts over all five of his opponents, though he laments that while everything that happened was technically legal, Orton’s attack on Jericho after he was already eliminated really wasn’t cool, and if he had his way, he’d make sure that Jericho would get another shot at the World Heavyweight Title.

TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart) vs. DAVID OTUNGA (w/the Brain Trust)-
The announcers remind us that this is replacing the scheduled Miz vs. Truth match because Miz and Reigns had a fight before the show and were both sent home for a few days to cool off. They use this as an opportunity to discuss Miz costing Reigns the IC Title last night.
The finish comes when Naomi distracts the referee (and Nattie also winds up distracting the referee while trying to stop Naomi from doing so), allowing Sandow to slip into the ring and hit Tyson with the You’re Welcome, allowing Otunga to pin Tyson for the win.
Byron Saxton gets a reaction interview from Tyson when he comes backstage. Tyson angrily tells Otunga that of he wanted his tag team partner to get involved, all he had to do was let Tyson know and he would have found a partner of his own to kick Brain Trusts’ asses.

We next get a video promo sent in by Paul Heyman. Heyman announces that his client, the beast incarnate, BRRRRRRRRROOOOCCCCKKKK LLLEEEESSSSSSSNNNNNAARRRR will be returning to the WWE at Summer Slam for the expressed purpose of showing that the WWE, home of the greatest athletes in the world, is his own personal playground, and stomping on the competition like ants. While Heyman cuts this promo, we get clips of Brock utterly destroying people.

Steph cuts a promo from her office in which she announces that WWE US Champion Evan Bourne will return to action this Friday night on Smackdown. There are a bunch of challengers lined up for the US Title, but no opponent for Bourne has been chosen yet. She hopes to have an answer to that question by this Wednesday night on Main Event.
She also announces that Smackdown will feature the debut of WWE's newest Diva, Summer Rae!

Bray Wyatt cuts a backstage promo announcing how happy he is seeing many wrestlers finding their inner monsters, like the Big Show did when he destroyed Miz, Del Rio, and Ricardo last night at Elimination Chamber. He urges people to come to him so that he can teach them to control their inner monsters and find success.

R-TRUTH vs. KANE-
The announcers remind us that this is replacing the scheduled Miz vs. Truth match because Miz and Reigns had a fight before the show and were both sent home for a few days to cool off. They use this as an opportunity to discuss Miz costing Reigns the IC Title last night.
Kane pretty much destroys Truth in about three minutes, then cuts a promo vowing revenge on the Wyatts for ending Tensai’s career.

Renee Young asks Alberto Del Rio to comment on The Miz costing Roman Reigns the Intercontinental Title last night and on the scrum Miz and Reigns had earlier today which resulted in both men being sent home for a few days to cool off. Del Rio tells her to mind her own business.

EMMA vs LAYLA EL-
Emma wins clean in five minutes

RANDY ORTON vs. MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY-
McGillicutty puts up a very good fight against the hyper-aggressive Orton. At one point he even manages to block an RKO, then nail Randy with the McGillicutter for the nearfall. When Orton recovers from this, he goes into crazy psycho-mode and beats the crap out of him, ending with the rope-hung spike DDT. Orton then picks McGillicutty up for an RKO, but pauses and then lets McGillicutty drop to the canvass. Orton then sets up for the punt, but before he can deliver it, Chris Jericho comes out to the ring. The referee rushes to block Jericho’s path, and then some additional refs come out to keep Orton and Jericho apart as they trash-talk each other.
The refs eventually pull Jericho backstage, and once they do so, Orton turns back to punt McGillicutty… but McGillicutty moves out of the way, and Orton kicks the turnbuckle. McGillicutty hits Orton with a dropkick to the back, knocking him face-first into the turnbuckle. Orton staggers backwards out of the corner, and McGillicutty charges at him and hits the McGillicutter!
ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

We get some shots of McGillicutty celebrating this big win, then we go to the back where Renee Young is standing by with Cesaro. She asks Cesaro for his comments on tonight’s main event, in which he will team up with Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry, & Christian to face off against World Heavyweight Title Money in the Bank Contract Holder Cody Rhodes, WWE World Tag Team Champions International Airstrike 2.0, & John Cena. Cesaro says that he hates having to team with idiotic Americans and Candians like Henry, and that he would much rather be teaming with a European like Adrian Neville, but since that isn’t in the cards for tonight, he says that the rest of his team needs to follow his lead if they want to win.

SETH ROLLINS vs. RYBACK-
Ryback wins clean in thirteen minutes. Renee Young tries to get a reaction interview from Ryback. He asks Ryback if he has anything to say to AJ and Daniel Bryan. Ryback asks why he would have anything to say to the Bryans. He says that the only people he has something to say to right now are the WWE World Tag Team Champions, Adrian Neville and Justin Gabriel, both of whom he defeated in singles matches last week. He says that while the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan is sitting at home, he figures he’ll occupy himself by going after the tag titles instead.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0, CODY RHODES, & JOHN CENA vs. MARK HENRY, ANTONIO CESARO, DOLPH ZIGGLER, & CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
Cesaro tries to be the team captain for the heels, and while they don’t appreciate him barking orders at them, they seem to respect him enough as a ring general that they don’t always ignore him. Ziggler in particular seems to be keen on working with Cesaro to hit some double-team moves.
The babyfaces wind up getting the clean win in thirty-five minutes when Cena pins Christian after an AA. After the match, Cena asks for a mic and cuts a promo putting everyone over. He says that Heyman was damn right when he said that the WWE Superstars are the best athletes in the world, but if Heyman thinks that Brock is going to be able to walk in here and blow through everybody, he’s got another thing coming.

Main Event: (7/23/2014)
CODY RHODES vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya)-
Cody wins clean in twelve minutes with the Cross Rhodes.

Steph announces that Bourne has asked for a warm-up match before defending his title. He doesn’t want to take it easy, though, so he has asked for Steph to find him some top-level competition… and Steph says she has delivered by booking him against Dolph Ziggler.
Cesaro comes out, noting that Bourne’s thirty days will end on Tuesday, and he wants to know when he is getting the title shot he is owed for beating Bourne in the IC Title #1 Contendership Round Robin Tournament. Michael McGillicutty comes out and says the same thing. Steph says she thought this might happen (Miz has also sent in a complaint saying the same thing), so she announces that Bourne will defend his title on Raw in a Fatal 4 Way match against McGillicutty, Cesaro, and Miz.

Renee Young interviews Alberto Del Rio about his main event match tonight against Sheamus. She also asks him if he has spoken with The Miz or Roman Reigns regarding their problems with either other over the past week. Del Rio once again tells Renee to keep her nose out of his business.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. TWO JOBBERS-
PTP squash the jobbers, but have some fun with it.
The announcers one again point out a big change in PTP’s attitude now that their war with the Colons is over.

SHEAMUS vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Sheamus wins clean in twenty minutes with the Brogue Kick.

Superstars: (7/24/2014)
THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS & HEATH SLATER vs. ANTONIO CESARO, DOLPH ZIGGLER, & ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
PTP and Slater cut a fun pre-match promo, with all three of them doing PTP’s catchphrases and shilling PTP’s merch. The heels dominate most of the match, with all three guys working surprisingly well together. The finish comes in about seven minutes when Del Rio makes Heath tap to the cross armbreaker. Renee Young tries to get a reaction interview from Del Rio and once again asks him about the dissension between Reigns and Miz, but Del Rio once again tells her to keep her nose out of his stable’s business.

BIG SHOW vs. R-TRUTH vs. CHRISTIAN (w/Paige) vs. DAVID OTUNGA (w/the Brain Trust)-
The three heels gang up on Big Show, but he quickly does a ROAR spot, then KOs all three guys with WMD’s. Renee tries to get a reaction interview from Big Show, who appears very intense. Bray Wyatt comes up to Big Show and tells him that all he has to do is follow this path and unleash his anger and his inner monster and he will have all of the success he desires.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY & TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Airstirke win clean in twenty minutes, pinning Tyson.

WWE.com announces that Chris Jericho has been cleared to return to action and will wrestle Jey Uso. Also on the docket for tonight is the debut of Summer Rae against Natalya, and the return of US Champion Evan Bourne against Dolph Ziggler.

Smackdown: (7/25/2014)- Orlando, FL
KOFI KINGSTON & THE BIG SHOW vs. R-TRUTH & ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)-
Kofi is the babyface in peril but manages to make the tag to Big Show, who demolishes both heels (and Ricardo) with WMDs. As they go backstage, Renee Young tries to get a reaction interview. Kofi tells Big Show that he should stop being so angry and says that Bray Wyatt’s path isn’t the right one to follow because it always ends up with Bray manipulating and controlling the people he claims to be helping. Big Show tells Kofi that Bray’s advice to use his anger and try to find his inner monster seems to be working for him, then storms off angrily.

SUMMER RAE vs. NATALYA NEIDHART (w/Tyson Kidd)-
The announcers put over Nattie as being just about the toughest challenge any debuting Diva could possibly face because of her combination of power, technical skill, mental toughness, and the many wily veteran tricks she has picked up over her many years of experience. They wrestle for a few minutes with Nattie dominating most of it, until Nattie injures her ankle, creating an opportunity which Summer pounces on, picking Nattie’s ankle, then making her tap with a spinning toe-hold. While Tyson helps Nattie to the back, Summer celebrates her big win, very closely flirting with the line of excessive celebration. Cole and Lawler call her out on this, speculating that she would never have won if not for Nattie’s unfortunate injury, while JBL defends her, saying that you have to do whatever it takes to win, and a win is a win is a win, no matter how you come by it.

Alberto Del Rio comes out to the ring to cut a promo. He says that he talked with The Miz last night, and they have decided that Roman Reigns will be allowed back into their stable provided that he remembers his place in the pecking order and doesn’t ever steal Miz or Del Rio’s title opportunity again. He also strongly suggests that Reigns “apologize” to Miz by ensuring that Miz walks out of Houston on Monday night with the WWE United States Title to replace the IC Title opportunity that Reigns stole from him.

The Brain Trust call out Tyson Kidd. They say that they have heard that Tyson wants a tag team match against them. They say they are okay with it as long as Tyson can find himself a partner. They offer Tyson a handshake, and when Tyson is shaking Otunga’s hand, Sandow attacks him. They beat him down until Sheamus runs out to make the save. Sheamus grabs a mic and says that after the performances Tyson has put on against him recently, Tyson definitely has his respect, so if Tyson needs a tag team partner, Sheamus will be glad to be there for him. Sheamus offers a handshake and Tyson accepts it.

Chris Jericho comes out and cuts a promo saying that he will wrestle the match Steph wants him to wrestle tonight, but what he really wants to do is fight Randy Orton.
CHRIS JERICHO vs. JEY USO (w/Jimmy Uso)-
Jericho wins clean in eight minutes with the Codebreaker.

KANE vs. KALISTO (w/Sin Cara)-
Kane squashes Kalisto.

Randy Orton cuts a backstage promo asking Chris Jericho to be careful what he wishes for, because what he is wishing for might result in Orton getting angry, and “you won’t like me when I’m angry.”

ANTONIO CESARO vs. RYBACK-
Ryback wins clean in twelve minutes. After the match he offers Cesaro a handshake and puts him over for being a big strong guy. As Ryback is heading backstage, Renee Young asks him if he has anything he would like to say regarding to the Bryans. Ryback again asks her why she thinks he has anything to say to AJ or Dragon. They’re just little pipsqueaks. Just like the WWE World Tag Team Champions, International Airstrike.
Ryback tells Renee that he has a real scoop for her. He has chosen his partner for his upcoming tag title shot: one of the only men big and strong enough to be worthy of teaming with the Ryback: The Big Red Machine, Kane!

EVAN BOURE vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER-
Bourne’s big return match is spoiled with a clean loss to Ziggler.

Bray Wyatt cuts a promo predicting victory for Ryback & Kane in their tag title match on Raw, and also predicting that Big Show will achieve his greatest desires if he continues to follow the path he is on.

JOHN CENA, CODY RHODES, & SIN CARA vs. THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS & SETH ROLLINS
The story of the match is PTP’s experience as a team helping them control the match, but eventually things even out and Cody pins Rollins cleanly in twenty minutes.
The announcers tell us that they have just learned that Paul Heyman will be joining the broadcast team for next weeks’ Raw to scout for an opponent for Brock Lesnar for Summer Slam.

Re: BRM Books Raw 1,000 and beyond

Post by Big Red Machine » Jan 7th, '15, 16:35

Throughout the weekend, Summer Rae is constantly Tweeting and Touting about her big victory against the tough established veteran Natalya in her WWE debut.

WWE.com reports as a result of pinning WWE United States Champion Evan Bourne on Smackdown, Dolph Ziggler has now been added to the big US Title match tonight on Raw.
The Brain Trust vs. Tyson Kidd & Sheamus has also been made official and signed for Raw, as has a big tag team main event pitting John Cena & Seth Rollins against Mark Henry & Christian.
We will also hear from WWE Champion Daniel Bryan with an update on the condition of his wife, WWE Divas Champion AJ Bryan.
WWE.com also hypes up a major announcement from Cody Rhodes tonight, as well as an appearance by Cody’s father, the legendary “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes.

Sin Cara, Kalisto, & Alberto Del Rio will not be at tonight’s Raw because they are doing publicity in their native Mexico for WWE’s upcoming tour this fall.

Raw: (7/28/2014)- Houston, TX

Paul Heyman is on commentary tonight. He spends his time both putting guys over, but also putting over Brock as being even better than everyone else.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. THE USOS-
PTP win clean in twelve minutes
The announcers one again point out a big change in PTP’s attitude now that their war with the Colons is over.

Daniel Bryan delivers a pre-taped promo on the TitanTron from the hotel room he is staying at in Tampa. He tells us that the doctors are hoping that AJ will be able to return from injury by Summer Slam, but they’re not certain yet. Bryan himself hopes that he will be able to be back on the road for next week’s Raw, but that all depends on AJ’s condition.

LAYLA EL & EMMA vs. ALICIA FOX & ROSE MENDES (w/the Colons)-
Babyfaces win clean in four minutes when Layla pins Rose.

BIG SHOW vs. R-TRUTH-
Show destroys Truth with the WMD in about thirty seconds.
Tom Phillips tries to get a reaction interview from Big Show, but before he can ask a question, the Wyatt Family approaches. Bray tells Big Show he is doing a very good job, and if he keeps doing what he is doing and tapping into his anger, he will be able to bring out his inner monster and learn to control it so that he can then use it to make the Prime Time Players pay attention to what he has to say and accept his apology.

WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: International Airstrike 2.0(c) vs. Ryback & Kane-
The announcers play up the fact that Bray, an enemy of Kane’s, keeps putting Ryback over, and wonder if that will lead to problems between the two of them. It doesn’t. Kane winds up as the “babyface” in peril and eventually gets pinned after a bunch of cool flippy stuff from Airstrike. After the match, an angry Ryback picks Kane up and hits him with the Shell Shock.
As Ryback comes backstage, Renee Young asks him why he attacked Kane. Ryback angrily declares that he thought Kane was a big and strong and tough like he was, but apparently not because Big Guys don’t lose to little pipsqueaks like Adrian Neville and Justin Gabriel. Ryback says that if he had been in there alone, he would have won the match and just run the two little midgets over, just like he will do to Daniel Bryan when Bryan works up the balls to return to Raw and face him.
Speaking of Bryan, Renee asks him if he has anything to would like to say regarding Bryan, AJ, and Ryback accidentally running AJ over at Battleground. Ryback blows a gasket and yells at Renee for always asking him that question. “What do you want me to say? That I’m sorry AJ got run over and wound up in the hospital? Well I‘m not. It’s her fault for not being fast enough to get out of the way or not being tough enough to take the pain and get back up.
Do you know what it takes to succeed in this business, Renee? Everyone knows that you’ve got to be strong and tough and skilled, but what they don’t tell you is that you’ve got to be mean. Look at Brodus Clay he was soft and weak and didn’t amount to anything until a few months ago when he started listening to the wisdom of Bray Wyatt and let out his monster. Since then, he’s been a juggernaut. Compare him to Tensai, who pretended to be mean, but Bray Wyatt exposed him as being soft and weak. If he wasn’t, he would be on this show right now, rather than retired forever.
Look at Randy Orton. Back in April, he was soft and weak and couldn’t take the necessary step to appropriately punish Bo Dallas for betraying him, and it wound up costing Orton the WWE Title Money in the Bank Contract. But that taught Randy to be MEAN, and since then he has been on a roll, destroying Bo Dallas, Chris Jericho, and anyone else who has tried to get in his way.
Look at Kane or the Big Show. When they are angry, they are unstoppable monsters. But when they’re soft, like Kane was tonight, they get beaten by little pipsqueaks like Neville and Gabriel. And back in April, when I was soft, I got beaten by a little pipsqueak named Daniel Bryan… but I won’t let that happen again. So it doesn’t matter what happens outside of the ring or who it happens to: I’m not going to let the WWE Title slip through my fingers. Because if I did care about what happened outside of the ring, little punks like Daniel Bryan would always come up with excuses to get out of a match they knew they were going lose, just like Daniel Bryan did at Battleground.
And that’s what he is doing right now. Daniel Bryan is small and weak, just like his wife, except she is at least actually injured rather than doing what he is doing and hiding behind his wife’s hospital bed so that he won’t have to face me in a rematch that he knows I’ll win.
There. Are you happy now, Renee? Did you get the answer you wanted? THAT is what I think of Daniel and AJ Bryan!”

THE BRAIN TRUST (w/Naomi) vs. SHEAMUS & TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Sheamus & Kidd def. Brain Trust when Kidd makes Otunga tap to the Dungeon Lock in thirteen minutes.

Renee Young is backstage, interviewing Kofi Kingston about his just-signed match for Main Event against Cody Rhodes. As Kofi is hyping up the match, he notices something off camera and shouts “HEY! Yeah, I’m talking to you!”
The camera pans around, and we see the Wyatt Family standing there. Bray laughs and they walk over. Kofi tells “Bray to stay away from Big Show. He is trying to find himself again and atone for the things he has done. He doesn’t need you corrupting and manipulating and using him!”
Bray laughs and replies. “Corrupting him? Manipulating him? Using him? I am helping him achieve the one thing he wants most in the world right now, and you want him to ignore me? Now tell me… which one of us is really his friend?”
Bray laughs sinisterly and he and his “family” and walk off.

Chris Jericho comes out to the ring and cuts a promo on Randy Orton. He has the video guy pull up footage of Orton’s promo from Smackdown, and mocks Orton’s “be careful what you wish for, because you won’t like me when I’m angry” line as being horribly lame and cliché (maybe throw in a line about it sounding like something that bad Hollywood scriptwriters would come up with). Orton comes out and once again warns Jericho not to anger him because he won’t like the consequences. Jericho retorts that the consequences are irrelevant. “What consequences, Randy? You’ll get angry and I won’t like you? I don’t like you right now!” This angers Orton who charges down to the ramp and they have a brawl which is quickly broken up by security.

Summer Rae cuts a backstage promo in which she brags about having beaten Natalya in her very first match.

FATAL FIVE-WAY MATCH FOR THE WWE UNITED STATES TITLE: Evan Bourne(c) vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro vs. The Miz vs. Michael McGillicutty-
Dolph and Cesaro form an alliance and work as a team, which gives them an advantage over the others, but that predictably breaks down once they start going for pins and submissions. The match goes about twenty minutes. Towards the end, Cesaro and McGillicutty, brawl on the floor, and the ref tries to get them to come back into the ring. While ref is out there yelling at them, Ziggler tries to dive onto them, and they both move out of the way, but the ref isn’t quick enough and winds up getting hit with the dive. Cesaro, Ziggler, and McGillicutty brawl into the crowd while Miz tries to take advantage of the ref bump and hits Bourne from behind with a chair shot. Realizing that the ref is still down, Miz set up to do more damage to Bourne with the chair, but Bourne just barely manages to roll out of the way and out to the floor.
Roman Reigns rushes out to the ring and has a tense staredown with Miz, then starts to give Miz instructions. “Let’s get him into the ring. I’ll hold him up and you hit him.” They bring Bourne back into the ring and Reigns holds his limp body up in a loose full nelson while Miz charges across the ring to cream Bourne with a monstrous chairshot to the head…
REIGNS SHOVES BOURNE ASIDE AND CHARGES FORWARD…
SPEAR!
Reigns drags Bourne’s body onto the Miz, gets the chair out of the ring and then revives the referee. Reigns drags the referee to the ring and the ref counts the pin for Bourne to retain the title

Cody Rhodes comes out to the ring, holding his World Heavyweight Title Contract MITB Briefcase. He invites his father Dusty out to the ring and cuts a passionate promo about how much his father means to him and how he was his role model. He notes that he got married last year and is thinking about starting a family, and remembered how proud it made him when he was a kid to be able to point to the magazine covers and tell them that the guy on the cover was his dad, Dusty Rhodes, a former World Heavyweight Champion… and he wants to be able to do the same for his kids. He wants to make his father and proud and live up to his legacy. He vows that he will train harder than he ever has before, focus himself more than he ever has before, and at Summer Slam, he will cash in his Money in the Bank contract and defeat Sheamus and become the World Heavyweight Champion, just like his father was.
They share a tearful hug and everyone comments on how touching it is, and Cody vows to his father that he will not squander this opportunity.

JOHN CENA & SETH ROLLINS vs. MARK HENRY & CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
Rollins is the babyface in peril. Cena eventually gets the hot tag and picks up the win, pinning Henry after an AA in about twenty-five minutes.
After the match, Paul E. gets up from the announce table tries to steal the spotlight. He says he was very, very impressed with many of the superstars he saw tonight, including Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Ziggler, Neville Gabriel, Sheamus, Kidd, Bourne, McGillicutty, PTP, the Usos, Orton, and Jericho)… but even as great as they are, none of them are at level they would need to be to stand a chance against “The Beast” BRRRROOOCKKK LLLEESSSSSNARR! An angry Cena gets in Paul’s face and tells him that if he and Brock don’t think the competition in WWE is up to snuff, then they should put their money where their mouths are, and show up to meet him at Summer Slam!

The Miz Tweets that Roman Reigns has just made the biggest mistake of his life.

Main Event: (7/30/2014)
This show is a bit more video-package-heavy than normal. Rather than one or two video packages recapping the main angles from Raw, we get separate video packages, focusing on Ryback’s promo, Roman Reigns turning babyface on The Miz, Daniel Bryan’s update on his and AJ’s status, and John Cena’s challenge to Brock Lesnar.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. TWO JOBBERS-
Before the match PTP cut a promo plugging their merch, doing their dog bark, and talking about making “millions of dollas.” The announcers one again point out a big change in PTP’s attitude now that their war with the Colons is over. They are now back to their old, happier selves.
PTP squash the jobbers.

Summer Rae comes out to the ring and starts bragging about her big win over Nattie in her WWE debut, complete with constantly replaying the footage of Nattie tapping out to the spinning toe hold. Nattie comes out to confront Summer Rae about this. She says that she understands that Summer is excited about her big win, and because of that, she had given Summer a pass and ignored her bragging the whole weekend and even on Raw, but at this point, enough is enough. She says that Summer has a lot to learn about the way the locker room works, and that as a veteran, it is Nattie’s job to teach her the hard way if she doesn’t figure it out on her own. She challenges Summer Rae to a rematch on Smackdown, and Summer cockily accepts.

THE BELLA TWINS vs. TWO JOBBERS-
Bellas win clean. The finish sees Nikki spear the legal jobber. The illegal jobber then gets in the ring to attack Nikki. Nikki ducks the jobbers attack and charges off the ropes for a second spear, but as she does so, Brie makes a blind tag. Nikki spears the second jobber while Brie pins the first one to pick up the win.

Kane cuts an angry promo in which he says that if Ryback thinks he is weak, perhaps he needs a physical reminder of the way Kane defeated him at last year’s Summer Slam. He challenges Ryback to a match on Smackdown.

KOFI KINGSTON vs. CODY RHODES (w/Dusty Rhodes)-
Cody wins clean in twenty minutes. After the match Cody cuts a shorter version of his promo from Raw about how he wants to win the World Heavyweight Title at Summer Slam and do his father and his family's legacy proud.

WWE.com reports that not only has Nattie vs. Summer Rae for Smackdown been made official, but Kane vs. Ryback will be official as well, should Ryback accept the match (which you’ll have to tune in to tonight’s episode of WWE Superstars to find out). Also signed for Smackdown is a match between Primo Colon and Randy Orton.

Superstars: (7/31/2014)
Like last night’s Main Event, this show is more video-package-heavy than most, focusing on the same things last night’s video packages focused on.
KOFI KINGSTON vs. SIN CARA (w/Kalisto)-
Cara wins clean in twelve minutes of high-flying action.

NIKKI BELLA (w/Brie Bella) vs. ROSA MENDES (w/the Colons)-
Summer Rae comes out to do commentary. She brags about her win over Nattie. When the announcers ask her about her rematch with Nattie tomorrow night on Smackdown, Summer brushes it off, claiming that she’ll make Nattie tap to the spinning toe hold again.
Nikki wins clean in five minutes, pinning Rosa after a spear.

Ryback cuts a promo accepting Kane’s challenge from Main Event for a match on Smackdown.

DOLPH ZIGGLER & ANTONIO CESARO vs. THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS-
Before the match PTP cut a promo plugging their merch, doing their dog bark, and talking about making “millions of dollas.” The announcers one again point out a big change in PTP’s attitude now that their war with the Colons is over. They are now back to their old, happier selves.
PTP have the advantage of experience and use that to control the match, but Ziggler and Cesaro start to mesh well as a team and pull out the win in fifteen minutes.

WWE.com reports that Kofi Kingston will not be at tonight’s Smackdown because he is doing publicity stuff.
The main event of Smackdown is hyped up as a HUGE ten man tag team match which will feature Dolph Ziggler, Christian, Antonio Cesaro, David Otunga, and the IC Champion Damien Sandow to face World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, WWE World Tag Team Champions International Airstrike 2.0, John Cena, and a mystery partner.

Late in the day, WWE.com reports that Randy Orton will not be at Smackdown because he is doing a last-minute publicity thing for WWE. He will be replaced in his match against Primo by Chris Jericho.

Smackdown: (8/1/2014)- Corpus Christi, TX

The announcers hype up that Paul Heyman has announced that he will be at Raw next week with an answer to John Cena’s challenge to Brock Lesnar.

SETH ROLLINS vs. CODY RHODES (w/Dusty Rhodes)-
Cody wins clean in fifteen minutes with the Cross Rhodes. After the match Cody cuts a shorter version of his promo from Raw about how he wants to win the World Heavyweight Title at Summer Slam and do his father and his family's legacy proud.

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. EVAN BOURNE & SIN CARA (w/Kalisto)-
Before the match PTP cut a promo plugging their merch, doing their dog bark, and talking about making “millions of dollas.” The announcers one again point out a big change in PTP’s attitude now that their war with the Colons is over. They are now back to their old, happier selves.
Bourne & Cara win clean in ten minutes after a combination of high-flying moves. They almost seem to be one-upping each other with their flippy-ness.
After the match, once Bourne, Cara, & Kalisto have gone to the back, the Wyatt Family come out and assault the Prime Time Players.

SUMMER RAE vs. NATALYA NEIDHART (w/Tyson Kidd)-
Summer seems completely unprepared for how hard Nattie takes it to her in the beginning. Summer takes advantage of the ref making Nattie break off in the corner to hit a forearm to the face, then goes to work on Nattie’s leg and knee. After a minute or two of this, Summer tries to go for the spinning toe hold but Nattie immediately rolls her up with a small package for the win (it’s Texas. I’m sure some famous Funk match must have ended this way for the announcers to make reference to). Nattie surprisingly offers Summer a handshake after the match, but Summer storms off, pouting.

ROMAN REIGNS vs. R-TRUTH-
Reigns wins by DQ when Miz and Del Rio assault him early on and beat him bloody.

CHRIS JERICHO vs. PRIMO COLON (w/Epico Colon & Rosa Mendes)-
Jericho wins clean in nine minutes, making Primo tap to the Walls of Jericho. After the match, he cuts a promo demanding to know why Steph is trying to keep him and Orton apart instead of doing the obvious thing and signing a match between them.

We get a video package hyping WWE Champion Daniel Bryan's return to Raw next week.

KANE vs. RYBACK-
They go about eight or nine minutes of back-and-forth big-man stuff before the Wyatt Family runs out and attacks Kane for the DQ. The Wyatts beat Kane down while Ryback laughs on his way up the ramp. Eventually Big Show charges down the ramp and makes the save, KOing Brodus, Harper, and Ambrose with WMDs, which sends Bray scurrying.

Main event time. The babyfaces’ mystery partner is….
The returning JACK SWAGGER!
JOHN CENA, SHEAMUS, INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0, & JACK SWAGGER vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER, CESARO, CHRISTIAN, & THE BRAIN TRUST (w/Naomi & Paige)-
Once again, the big story of the bout it Ziggler and Cesaro seeming to mesh well together. About twenty-five minutes in the babyfaces appear to have things won when Swagger has Sandow tapping to the Patriot Act, but Naomi distracts the ref, allowing the heels to break it up before the ref notices. The real finish comes about thirty minutes in, when Ziggler shoves Neville off the top rope, right into Roaring Swiss Death and Cesaro pins him.

THE REST OF THE BUILD FOR SUMMER SLAM:

WWE TITLE, DIVAS TITLE, & WYATT FAMILY FEUD
The August 4th Raw, opens with a promo by Daniel Bryan in which he says that Ryback should be careful what he wishes for. If Ryback wants another that at the WWE Title, that means Ryback will have to be in the ring with a pissed-off Daniel Bryan.

Later in the show, Ryback comes out to the ring and cuts a promo in which he says that he wants to be in the ring with Daniel Bryan with the WWE Title on the line… but only if it is in a match where he can ensure that Bryan can’t use his wife as an excuse to run away when he knows he will lose, just like the a coward does.
Bryan charges out and they brawl, with Bryan landing some hard strikes before being floored by a meat hook. Bryan goes for the Shell Shock, but Bryan slips free and dropkicks Ryback in the back to create some separation between them, but before anything else can happen, security swarms the ring and breaks it up.

The Wyatts jump Kofi Kingston on his way to the ring for a match against R-Truth. Kane and the Big Show come out armed with steel chairs to make the save, but not before the Wyatts injure Kofi’s knee, forcing him to take time off. The announcers plug to upcoming interviews tonight: one with Bray Wyatt, and the second is a special sit-down interview with the Big Show, conducted by Renee Young.
During the big interview, Renee asks the Big Show what finally made him choose to reject Bray Wyatt’s path. Big Show tells her that when he heard Ryback’s promo on Raw in which Ryback talked about running AJ Bryan over, sending her to the hospital- and not caring- it brought him back to a time two and a half years ago, when he was in a very similar situation to Ryback. He was facing Daniel Bryan in a world title match, and he accidentally ran over AJ at ringside.
And he remembered how sad it made him. How he spent WEEKS mulling over whether his size made him just too dangerous to the smaller people at ringside. If he could hurt AJ like that badly, what would happen if he were to run into Lillian Garcia, or Frank the cameraman or the timekeeper, who are not trained wrestlers? What if he were to fall over the barricade and hurt a fan? Could he even live with himself if it happened again? And knowing that it could happen again, would he ever really be able to give %100 if the action were to spill out of the ring? He struggled with these questions for weeks.
Ryback, on the other hand, didn’t give the injured woman even a moment’s thought… and Bray Wyatt endorsed this. He said he was proud of Ryback for it. Well if following Bray Wyatt’s path and taming his inner monster means that he has to give up all of his humanity, then that is too high a price to pay!
He’s now going to dedicate himself to standing against Bray Wyatt and everything Bray stands for, just like his good buddy Kofi Kingston did, and paid the price for.

Bray’s interview is backstage with Tom Phillips, and surrounded by the Wyatt Family. Tom asks Bray if he would like to respond to Big Show’s statements. Bray says that Big Show is making a big mistake. Tom says he understands that Bray would take out Kofi Kingston, an enemy of his, but notes that many people have been wondering why he and his family assaulted the Prime Time Players last week on Smackdown and put them out of action.
Bray laughs and says “Prime Time Players? What Prime Time Players? The Prime Time Players haven’t been around for two weeks.” Tom is puzzled by this and asks Bray to elaborate, but Bray just laughs instead and says that “hopefully they will understand what I mean… for their own sake.”

Kane cuts a promo in which he says that he and Ryback have unfinished business and he wants to finish it this week on Smackdown in a steel cage so that the Wyatts can’t interfere.

Throughout the show we get matches in which Nikki, Brie, Emma, and Layla all get clean wins (defeating Alicia, Rosa, Paige, and Nattie).

On Main Event, Steph announces a four-way #1 Contendership match for the Divas Title on Smackdown between Nikki, Brie, Layla, and Emma, but notes that if AJ is unable to defend the Divas Title when her thirty days expire (the Wednesday after Summer Slam), then on that episode of Main Event, the woman who wins this match will be awarded the title as AJ will be forced to vacate it. Nikki Bella comes out and asks for that match to be made an elimination match so that Brie can’t steal her win like she did last month. Steph says okay. She also makes the Kane vs. Ryback cage match official.

On Superstars Daniel Bryan announces that we will hear a big announcement from AJ on Smackdown. He also warns Ryback that a steel cage won’t keep him away.

On the August 8th Smackdown, we get an interview with AJ, live via satellite, in which she announces that not only will she be cleared to compete at Summer Slam, but she will be at Raw next week!
Steph announces that because we know that AJ will defend the title at Summer Slam, tonight’s Divas elimination match will determine who gets that title shot.
FOUR WAY ELIMINATION MATCH FOR A DIVAS TITLE MATCH AT SUMMER SLAM: Nikki Bella vs. Brie Bella vs. Layla El vs. Emma-
The Bellas work together as a team, but things go wrong when Layla avoids a spear from Nikki which winds up hitting Brie, allowing Layla to pin Brie. Nikki then eliminates first Emma and then Layla with spears to win the #1 contendership.

STEEL CAGE MATCH: Ryback vs. Kane-
They go for about twelve minutes. Ryback seems to have things pretty well in hand, but then Daniel Bryan scales the cages and hits him with a flying crossbody. Dragon kicks away at Ryback, then tries to lock in the Yes Lock, but Ryback manages to slip away from him. Ryback scampers out of the cage and onto the floor (technically winning the match), but runs away with his tail between his legs as Daniel Bryan shouts “WHO’S THE COWARD?!” at him.

Over the weekend, WWE.com announces that Daniel Bryan will defend the WWE Title against Ryback at Summer Slam in a Falls Count Anywhere match, which has been agreed to by both parties… but before that, they will meet one-on-one in the main event of Monday Night Raw!

GO-HOME RAW:
The Wyatts assault Kane and Big Show, but chair-wielding Prime Time Players make their return to make the save, chasing the Wyatt Family away. Big Show grabs a mic to try to make peace with them, but Titus snatches the mic away and he and Darren cut a promo vowing revenge on the Wyatts.

AJ’s big return segment is the semi-main event of Raw. She cuts a big babyface promo thanking both the fans and her husband Daniel Bryan (who she notes would love to be out here with her now but isn’t because he has to warm up for his match) for their support and says she isn’t sure if she would have been able to come back without them. She talks about her injury and lifts up her shirt to show off her heavily-taped ribs.
Brie Bella comes out onto the ramp and tells AJ that her sister Nikki will kick AJ’s butt at Summer Slam and take her title, and then Brie claims that she will steal AJ’s husband (hooray for smarky jokes) and leave her with nothing. AJ angrily charges at Brie as fast as her injuries will allow. Brie runs back up the ramp and through the curtain. AJ gives chase, but as she approaches the entranceway, Nikki Bella charges out and spears her.
The babyface announcers condemn the Bellas for this dastardly set-up and note that not only did Nikki spear AJ’s injured ribs, but they landed on the hard steel stage. Nikki stomps on AJ’s stomach and poses with her foot on AJ’s injured chest until the medical personnel come out to attend to AJ as we go to commercial.

When we return from commercial, Ryback comes out for his main event match against Daniel Bryan, and while he is doing his entrance, the announcers recap the Bellas’ dastardly deed.
Daniel Bryan’s music plays, but he doesn’t come out for his match. It plays through a second time, and third, but Dragon still doesn’t appear. In the middle of the fourth rendition of his music, Ryback angrily grabs a mic and says that if Bryan is too cowardly to come out here and face him, he’ll just have to go get Bryan himself.
The camera follows Ryback backstage and into the trainer’s room, where Dragon and a bunch of medical people are standing around AJ, who is clearly in pain. Ryback charges in and hits Bryan from behind, then beats the crap out of him, hitting him with various metal objects he finds in the room. Ryback then dumps the fallen Bryan onto the foot of AJ’s examination bed, then quips to the camera about how romantic it will be for the Bryans to share a hospital room together.

WWE.com announces that the Wyatt Family vs. Kane, Big Show, & the Prime Time Players has been signed for Summer Slam.

On the go-home Smackdown we are informed that despite the heinous attack by the Bellas, AJ will be able to defend the Divas Title at Summer Slam, but will be doing so against doctor’s advice.

US TITLE
Sin Cara’s high-flying ability is focused on, as well as a developing friendly rivalry with Evan Bourne. They are signed for a US Title match at Summer Slam billed as a battle of WWE’s two best high-flyers.

IC TITLE
Jack Swagger is named the #1 contender to the IC Title both to replace the title opportunity he lost when he was jumped and injured the night before the finals of the IC Title #1 Contendership Round-Robin Tournament last month and because of his visual victory of Damien Sandow. Sandow says this is BS. He designed the IC Title #1 Contendership Round-Robin Tournament to determine the most worthy challenger, and that just assuming that Swagger would have won the final round is an insult to Sandow’s brilliance that came up with the format. He says that if Swagger is to be given a title shot, he needs to earn it.
Steph winds up booking Swagger vs. Sandow non-title on TV, and Swagger makes Sandow tap to the Patriot Act. Sandow later claims that he never tapped out. He was pushing up off of the mat in an attempt to gain moment to roll out of the hold, and the idiot referee should have known that. Steph will have none of it, though, and she names Swagger the #1 Contender to the IC Title at Summer Slam.

TAG TEAM TITLES
Because Cesaro pinned Adrian Neville in the main event of the August 1st Smackdown, Steph has said she will let him choose a tag partner to challenge for the titles at Summer Slam. Dolph appeals to Cesaro to be chosen as his partner. Cesaro doesn’t want to pick a stupid American, but Dolph points out that, without even trying, they have gelled as a team over the last few weeks, so imagine what they could do if they tried. Cesaro eventually admits that Dolph has a point and chooses Dolph to be his tag team partner.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
This is your standard babyface vs. babyface feud. Cody emphasizes how much he wants to make his father proud and live up to the Rhodes Family legacy of being a world champion, while Sheamus is the respectful babyface champion, puts over both Cody and Dusty, and may the best man win and all that stuff.
On the August 8th Smackdown, Cody wrestles Dolph and there is a spot Dusty had gotten up on the apron to yell at the ref for missing a call when Dolph was pulling Cody’s hair, and Ziggler shoves Cody at Dusty. Cody manages to stop himself before he bumps into his father, but even if he hadn’t it would have been fine as Dusty manages to jump down off the apron in time… but on his landing, he sells his hip, because old men shouldn’t be jumping off the ring apron. Dusty’s injury distracts Cody and allows Ziggler to pin Cody with an O’Connor Roll.
On the go-home Raw, Cody asks Dusty to not come out to ringside during his big World Heavyweight Title match so that Cody doesn’t become distracted and lose like happened on Smackdown. Dusty says he understands where Cody is coming from and agrees.
On the go-home Smackdown, Cody cuts a big impassioned promo about what it would mean to him to win the World Heavyweight Title, just like his father did.

JERICHO VS. ORTON
On the August 4th Raw, Orton is booked against Epico and beats him clean. After the match, Jericho comes out to yell at him, but Steph swarms out with security to break it up and orders them both sent home.
Both guys use various forms of social media to call Steph out on keeping them apart when they clearly want a match with each other, and WWE.com follows the story. On Friday morning they announce that Steph will explain things on Smackdown as long as both guys promise not to fight.
On Smackdown, Steph comes out with a bunch of security guys and calls out Orton and Jericho. She assigns a security detail to each man to prevent them from fighting. They still shout angrily at each other until Steph shushes them by shouting into the mic.
Steph explains that she had been hoping to team Orton and Jericho up as a way to shake up the tag team division so she has been trying to prevent their heat with each other from becoming too hot. She says that it is clear to her now that as both the two of them and the fans want these guy to face off at Summer Slam, she will sign that match IF they agree to give teaming with each other a chance. They agree, so Steph books them against the Usos tonight. They manage to beat the Usos, but things are very tense every time they make a tag, a situation only exacerbated by the fact that all of their tags are MUCH harder than necessary.
On the go-home Raw they are again booked as a team, this time against International Airstrike 2.0 in a non-title match. They do well, although once again, their tags are all a lot harder than necessary. The finish comes when Jericho has Gabriel down and goes for a Lionsault, but as he runs up the ropes, Orton reaches out and makes the blind tag, which causes Jericho to lose his balance and have to abort the move or else risk falling on his head. Jericho yells at Orton as he gets into the ring, which erupts into a screaming match, which ends when Gabriel rolls Orton up from behind and almost gets the win of off it. The ref gets Jericho to go to the apron, and Orton gets some offense in on Gabriel. Orton beats Gabriel down, knocks Neville off the apron and sets Gabriel up for the punt, but as he backs into the corner, Jericho makes a blind tag, which results in another shouting match that ends when Orton hits Jericho with an RKO and walks off, leaving Jericho to be pinned by Gabriel.
Steph is furious at them- especially Orton- and says that she would cancel their match at Summer Slam, but she doesn’t want to disappoint the fans, so instead she will suspend them until then, with Orton’s suspension being without pay.
Because of their suspension, the match is built up on the go-home Smackdown only through video packages.

CENA VS. LESNAR
Heyman’s “response” to Cena’s challenge for Summer Slam is an ambush by Brock Lesnar. Brock beats the crap out of Cena and sets up to break his arm with the Kimura, but just laughs and drops Cena’s arm rather than lock the move in. Brock leaves the almost lifeless Cena in the ring as he and Heyman laugh their way up the ramp.
On Smackdown we get an interview with Cena live via satellite. Cena tells Brock that he should have put him down when he had the chance, because leaving Cena able to fight will be the biggest mistake of Brock’s life, because he has done is motivate Cena to train harder and defend the honor of the WWE against Brock and Heyman’s disrespect.

ROMAN REIGNS VS. THE MIZ
Roman Reigns takes a week off after Miz and Del Rio’s dastardly attack on him. While he is out, Steph signs Miz vs. Reigns for Summer Slam. When he comes back on the go-home Raw, he vows to kick Miz’s ass at Summer Slam and make Miz pay for all of the title shots Miz has cost him in the last seven months.

SUMMER RAE vs. NATALYA FEUD

On the August 4th Raw, Summer Rae comes out and announces that she has been studying tapes all weekend and she has discovered the perfect counter to Nattie’s reversal of her devastating spinning toe hold, and she wants that old hag Nattie to come out to the ring right now so Summer can make her tap. Nattie does so and they have a match, and when Summer goes for the spinning toe hold and Nattie counters it with a small package, Summer Rae rolls the small package over into one of her own… and then Nattie immediately rolls it over so that she is now pinning Summer again and picks up the win.
On Main Event, Summer comes out and claims that Nattie’s win was a fluke and demands a rematch. Nattie obliges, and we get the same finish, except that there is one more exchange of turning over the small package. Summer throws a temper tantrum and claims that Nattie must be cheating and demands that the referee check her ankles for some sort of foreign substance that would create extra friction and prevent Summer from kicking out of the small package. The referee and the announcers tell her that this is ridiculous, but Nattie grabs the mic and offers to have a rematch with her right here, right now, in which she promises not to use the small package. Knowing that she has already worked Nattie’s leg over in their first match, Summer jumps on the opportunity.
Their second match of the night starts off with Summer surprisingly offering Nattie a handshake, but when Nattie moves to accept it, Summer slaps Nattie in the face, then quickly goes after her leg again. After working it over with one or two moves, Summer goes for the spinning toe hold. Nattie grabs Summer’s head, just like she would for a small package, but instead simply forearms Summer in the face, knocking her down. Nattie then pounces on Summer, landing a few solid forearms to the face, then turns her over and locks in the Sharpshooter until Summer taps.
Summer looks very upset- almost on the verge of tears. Nattie offers her a hand up, but Summer ignores her and storms off.
On Smackdown, Summer comes up to Seth Rollins during a backstage promo, turns on her doe-eyes and asks Seth if he will help her work on her wrestling skills. Being confronted with a hot blonde asking if he wants to roll around with her, Rollins obviously agrees to help her out.
On the go-home Raw we get an update, in which Summer asks Rollins to help her come up with a new finisher. On Superstars, we are informed that Seth Rollins & Summer Rae vs. Tyson Kidd & Natalya has been signed for the Summer Slam pre-show. On the go-home Smackdown, Summer cuts a promo in which she reveals that she pitched the match to Steph, who thought it was a good idea. Summer says that Seth Rollins helped her develop a new, uncounterable move, and now she’ll be able to use it to beat that old hag Natalya once and for all.
Later on the show, we get a backstage promo with Nattie and Tyson in which Nattie says that Summer clearly hasn’t learned her lesson about how a rookie is supposed to act in this business, so at Summer Slam, Nattie will have to take her to school again. As Nattie finishes her promo, Seth Rollins walks up to her and Tyson and apologizes for Summer’s disrespectful behavior and says he’ll try to teach her the right way to go about things in the locker room.

The main event of the go-home Smackdown devolves into a big Schmoz involving Kane, PTP, Big Show, Bryan, Reigns, & Swagger against The Wyatts, Ryback, Miz, and the Brain Trust, with no clear winner by the time the show goes off the air.

RE the Alberto Del Rio firing:
I am going to assume that this goes down exactly the way it did in real life and that, being an HR issue, I have no part in the way it is handled and no say as to whether or not Del Rio is kept around.
As for Ricardo, I will definitely take him off TV now, as he is a kayfabe employee of Del Rio, not WWE, and figure out what to do with him.

SUMMER SLAM RUNDOWN

WWE Summer Slam 2014: (8/17/2014)- Los Angeles, CA

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Sheamus(c) vs. Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes cashes in his Money in the Bank contract and tries to live up to the legacy of his father, "the American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, and become the World Heavyweight Champion. Cody says he is more focused than he has ever been before, but will that be enough to defeat Sheamus, who has held the title for eight hundred and forty-eight days, and overcome challenges for all of WWE's biggest stars, including Cody himself earlier this year?

FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH FOR THE WWE TITLE: Daniel Bryan(c) vs. Ryback
A tragic accident at last month's Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View, combined with callous words by Ryback have turned this into an intensely personal feud. Although none of the physical factors have changed since last month's encounter, one major thing has: This time, THERE MUST BE A WINNER!

WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH: AJ Bryan(c) (w/Daniel Bryan) vs. Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella)
AJ Bryan is medically cleared to wrestle, though she has been advised not to by her doctors, but AJ has chosen to defend her title anyway. How will her severely injured ribs hold up against the devastating spear of Nikki Bella.

JOHN CENA vs. BROCK LESNAR (w/Paul Heyman)
Brock Lesnar has said he will dominate the WWE, but John Cena is as motivated as he has ever been to defend the WWE's honor against the original Paul Heyman Guy.

RANDY ORTON vs. CHRIS JERICHO
Two of WWE's biggest superstars who just plain don't like each other and have been itching get their hands on each other for weeks. What more do you need to know?

WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH: Evan Bourne(c) vs. Sin Cara (w/Kalisto)
Two of WWE's best high-flyers face off for the prestigious United States Title!

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Damien Sandow(c) (w/the Brain Trust) vs. Jack Swagger
Swagger gets the title shot he was robbed of by an assault last month. He has already made Sandow tap out in non-title competition, but can he do it now with the pressure of having the Intercontinental Title on the line?

WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: International Airstrike 2.0(c) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Antonio Cesaro
Cesaro and Ziggler have develop chemistry as a tag team amazingly quickly, but will they be able to overcome the fantastic chemistry of the WWE World Tag Team Champions?

ROMAN REIGNS vs. THE MIZ
Months of anger and frustration finally boil over into full-blown physicality.

THE WYATT FAMILY vs. KANE, BIG SHOW, & THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS
I don't envy the referee in this one.

PRE-SHOW MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH: Tyson Kidd & Natalya vs. Seth Rollins & Summer Rae
The arrogant Summer Rae claims Seth Rollins helped her develop a new move that cannot be countered. Will she be able to translate that into a second win over Natalya, or will the veteran Diva and her husband teach Summer a lesson in respect and defeat her once again?

On Sunday, WWE.com announces that Ryback has requested that the WWE Divas Title match between AJ Bryan and Nikki Bella take place AFTER his Falls Count Anywhere WWE Title match against AJ’s husband Daniel Bryan so that “Bryan won’t have any excuses not to show up.” While WWE doesn't agree with Ryback’s assessment of Daniel Bryan’s actions, WWE General Manager Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley has agreed to Ryback’s request in the interests of ensuring that all parties are fully 100% mentally focused on this match.

WWE Summer Slam 2014: (8/17/2014)- Los Angeles, CA
PRE-SHOW:
We get a few video packages for the major feuds, ending with one focusing on the Divas Title match. We then go backstage to Daniel and AJ Bryan.
AJ cuts a promo saying that the doctors have advised her not to wrestle for at least another two weeks, but that would mean having to vacate the title due to the Thirty Days Rule, and to her, THAT IS NOT AN OPTION. She and Daniel have worked so hard to live out their dream of being champions together, and they WILL NOT GIVE THAT UP, NO MATTER WHAT. Is there a good chance that her injured ribs might cost her the title tonight? Yes. In fact, it’s a very good chance… but wrestling tonight also gives her a chance to retain her title… and if she doesn’t wrestle tonight, she knows there is no chance she will be allowed to keep the title, so that small chance is better than no chance at all.
Daniel Bryan then cuts a promo about how much being champions together means to him and AJ. He says they will fight through any adversity to keep their dream intact. Sure, AJ might be going into her match with very injured ribs, and sure Dragon might be going into his match with a major disadvantage in size and strength, but they don’t just fight with their bodies… the Bryan Family fights with their HEART! As big as Ryback is, Dragon’s heart is bigger; AJ’s ribs might be injured, but her heart is as strong as ever.

We get a backstage promo from Summer Rae in which she promises that tonight, that washed-up old hag Natalya will feel the wrath of her Summer Crush! The announcers try to decipher the name “Summer Crush” to see if they can glean some type of hint as to what type of move Summer’s new “uncounterable” finisher is.

We get more video packages, followed by a promo by Paul Heyman. Heyman says that John Cena thinks he is the alpha male of the WWE pack, but Brock Lesnar is the real alpha male, and tonight he will show John Cena what happens when a lesser male challenges the alpha male for his position: “Spoiler alert: it won’t be pretty.”

MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH: Tyson Kidd & Natalya Neidhart vs. Seth Rollins & Summer Rae-
The ladies start things off and lock up. Nattie quickly gains the advantage and throws Summer backwards hard. Summer rolls almost all the way to her corner, and seeing the angry look on Nattie’s face, is suddenly a lot less cocky. Nattie charges at her, but Summer quickly tags Rollins in, forcing Nattie to tag Tyson Kidd in.
Rollins and Tyson do a couple of minutes of nice, polite chain-wrestling, with both guys breaking holds quickly when the referee calls for it. When the ladies tag back in, it is anything but “polite,” with lots of trash-talking, hard slaps and forearms, and even some closed fists right to the face. They both take liberties with the referee’s five-count, both in the ropes and in the corner. Once again, it is Summer who finds herself at a disadvantage, and scampers over to her corner to tag in Seth Rollins, forcing to Nattie to tag out as well.
Rollins and Kidd wrestle with a faster pace this time and hit some big moves, but it is still very controlled, technical stuff. After they do a double-down when they both go for a running crossbody, the women are tagged in and things get meaner again.
At one point Summer has Nattie in the corner and climbs to the second rope to do the big babyface “punches in the corner” spot, but Nattie grabs her legs for a powerbomb. Summer grabs the turnbuckle to try to block it, but Nattie wins the struggle, slamming Summer down so hard that the turnbuckle-cover she had been clinging to comes right off in her hands. After only getting a nearfall off of this, Nattie grabs Summer’s legs and tries to turn her over into the Sharpshooter, but Summer fights it off and sends Nattie backwards hard into the corner, causing the back of her head to hit the exposed turnbuckle. Nattie groggily stumbles forward, and Summer quickly gets to her feet, knowing that this is her best chance. She grabs Nattie from behind and hits the Summer Crush (same move it is in the real world), then pins Nattie for the win.
Summer goes nuts in her celebration, jumping up and down like she just won the Super Bowl. She then stands over Nattie’s fallen body and starts to talk more trash. Seth Rollins comes over to try to get her to tone it down, but as he starts trying to calm her down, she unexpectedly leaps into his arms, grabs his head, and starts trying to see if she can feel his tonsils with her tongue.

Cody Rhodes, with his father by his side, cuts a big promo about how tonight he will prove he is worthy of the Rhodes Family legacy. Dusty says that he just got off the phone with Dustin, who wishes Cody good luck. Cody laments that it was a stipulation of his own insistence that not only ended Dustin’s in-ring career, but made it so that Dustin can’t even be here with them tonight. Dusty tells him not to worry about it. He will need all of his focus on tonight’s match if he is going to win his first World Heavyweight Title. Cody looks into his father’s eyes and says “I won’t let you down, Dad. I promise.”

MAIN SHOW:
WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH: Evan Bourne(c) vs. Sin Cara (w/Kalisto)-
The “Battle of the High Flyers” starts with a respectful handshake between the two friends, then turns into a fast-paced battle of escalating cool flips and counters. Kalisto drops in on commentary every once in a while just to put over how impressed he is with all of their moves, and he is a high-flyer himself. The finish comes when Bourne goes for the Air Bourne, but Cara rolls out of the way, then hits Bourne with the flippest flippy-do he can do to win both the match and WWE United States Title in thirteen minutes. They shake hands and hug afterwards, with Bourne even strapping the title around Cara’s waist.

THE WYATT FAMILY vs. KANE, BIG SHOW, & THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS-
They have a wild brawl- no weapons; just a lot of brawling. The finish comes when Big Show punches out both Harper and Brodus with WMDs, then he and Kane give Ambrose a gigantic double-chokeslam (fifteen minutes). After the match, Kane declares that this victory was “for Tensai,” and Big Show dedicates the victory to Kofi Kingston. As Big Show and Kane are about to leave the ring, PTP call Big Show back to the ring, tell him that they accept his apology for injuring them back in the winter, and they both shake his hand.

Randy Orton cuts a backstage promo vowing to “finish what he started at Elimination Chamber” and punt Y2J so hard it will be at least two more years before he works up the courage to set foot in a WWE ring again.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Damien Sandow(c) (w/the Brain Trust) vs. Jack Swagger-
They have a back and forth match for about twelve minutes. Swagger gets a nearfall in when he blocks an attempted You’re Welcome by dropping down and rolling into the Patriot Act, but Sandow manages to get to the ropes. Sandow eventually picks up the completely clean victory to retain the title, pinning Swagger after the Terminus.

Roman Reigns cuts a backstage promo. He says that they are on PPV now, so there is no problem with him promising to give The Miz “the ass-kicking of his damn life.”

RANDY ORTON vs. CHRIS JERICHO-
The story of the match is built around Orton going for the punt. Jericho picks up the win in twenty minutes when he counters the punt into the Walls of Jericho and makes Orton tap.

WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: International Airstrike 2.0(c) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Antonio Cesaro-
For the first time since they have started teaming, Dolph and Cesaro come out as a unit. Airstrike win clean to retain the titles in seventeen minutes when Neville pins Dolph after both Airstrike guys hit their big high-flying finishers on him. After Airstrike go to the back, Cesaro menacingly stands over Dolph, looking like he is about to attack him, but instead offers him a hand up, and they walk to the back together.

John Cena cuts a promo saying that he is fighting for the honor of the WWE, and nothing is more important to him than that, so Brock Lesnar had better watch out because he is in for the fight of his life.

THE MIZ vs. ROMAN REIGNS-
The match is very basic. Reigns gets shined at the beginning, Miz pokes him in the eye to cut him off, starting the heat, and then Reigns makes his comeback and pins Miz after a spear in ten minutes.

JOHN CENA vs. BROCK LESNAR (w/Paul Heyman)-
I’d do something similar to what they did at Summer Slam, with Brock beating the sh*t out of Cena, but all of Cena’s hope spots are pretty much false finishes. Brock pins Cena after an F-5 to win in seventeen minutes.

FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH FOR THE WWE TITLE: Daniel Bryan(c) vs. Ryback-
They brawl around the arena, using weapons and stuff. Ryback tries for a back suplex off the stage, but Bryan counters it into a crossbody for a (hopefully) good false finish. Bryan tries to win with the Yes Lock, but Ryback uses his power to break the hold each time. Bryan hits the Busaiku knee off some sort of piece of the set designed for the purpose of letting him get a running start off of it, but it takes him too long to get to Ryback to make the cover so Ryback kicks out. Bryan then whips Ryback hard into the big WWE logo on the stage, and then, when Ryback slumps down on it, Bryan gives him a Busaiku knee, smashing Ryback’s head into (and partially through!) the (gimmicked) logo, then picks up the pin at the twenty minute mark to retain the title.

Sheamus cuts a promo to hype up the main event, saying he respects Dusty and he respects Cody, both as a man and as a competitor, but as hard as Cody will fight tonight, Sheamus is going to fight even harder to retain his title.

WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH: AJ Bryan(c) vs. Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella)-
AJ’s ribs are HEAVILY taped up. Nikki goes for a spear right away, but AJ manages to avoid it, then picks Nikki’s leg from behind to take her down and locks in a mounted armlock or shoulderlock of some sort. The announcers put over AJ’s strategy of making sure that the match is as slow as possible. Nikki gets to the ropes, and AJ breaks the hold. AJ again manages to avoid an attack from Nikki and works over her arm again. They repeat this process a few times until Nikki manages to counter one of AJ’s armlocks with an elbow to the ribs, and Nikki completely takes over the match.
Nikki works over AJ’s ribs for a few minutes, setting up a bearhug. AJ writhes in pain but manages to force Nikki to break the hold with a few very well-placed elbows to the head. AJ manages to land on her feet when Nikki drops her and fills with fighting spirit. She charges forward and catches Nikki with a Shining Wizard, but the pain overwhelms the adrenaline before she can make the cover, and when she finally crawls over and manages to do so, it has given Nikki time to recover enough to kick out before the three.
Nikki recovers first and once again takes control of the match by working over AJ’s ribs. She sets AJ up for a Superplex, but AJ fights it off and comes off the top rope and connects with a flying crossbody…

BUT NIKKI CATCHES HER AND DELIVERS A HUGE RIB-BREAKER!
Nikki goes for the pin, but AJ manages to grab the bottom rope. The ref makes Nikki back off as AJ uses the ropes to pull herself up in the corner, but Nikki charges in and crushes AJ with a HUGE spear in the corner, sandwiching AJ’s ribs between Nikki’s shoulder and the turnbuckle. AJ crumples, and the trainer immediately jumps in the ring to check on her. The referee pulls Nikki away from AJ and orders her to stay in the corner on the other side of the ring while AJ is being checked on. More medical personnel as well as Daniel Bryan (still selling from his match) also rush out to check on AJ. The cameraman sticks his metaphorical camera-nose into middle of things, and we hear the doctor tell AJ that while it is not serious enough to call for a stoppage, he/she REALLY doesn’t think that AJ should wrestle anymore right now. AJ, despite being in so much pain, adamantly refuses to give up the match- and with it the title. The doctor tells the referee that AJ is okay to go, but he should feel free to call for a stoppage whenever he feels it is necessary.
The match resumes as AJ starts to pull herself up in the corner, and Nikki charges forward for another spear…
BUT AJ DUCKS IT!
Nikki’s shoulder slams into the ringpost. AJ pulls Nikki back into the ring and locks in the Yes Lock, making Nikki tap out for the win in about twelve minutes.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Sheamus(c) vs. Cody Rhodes-
Dusty comes out with Cody, but when they reach the bottom of the ramp, Dusty gives him a big hug and simply wishes him “good luck.” Cody, for his part, simply replies “thanks, Dad.”
Sheamus makes his entrance and Cody hands the referee the MITB Briefcase. The referee then takes the World Heavyweight Championship belt from Sheamus, and holds it up high above his head. He gives the briefcase and the title belt to Lilian, then checks both wrestlers for foreign objects. He signals for the handshake, and the two competitors shake hands before returning to their corners. The referee signals for the bell… AND WE’RE OFF!
This match is a hard-hitting, BRUTAL encounter. They both hit all of their big stuff. Sheamus locks Cody in the Cloverleaf, but Cody makes it to the ropes. Cody manages to connect with the Cross Rhodes, but Sheamus kicks out. Twice.
After almost fifteen minutes of trying, Sheamus finally lands a Brogue Kick… and Cody kicks out of that. Cody makes a comeback and nails Sheamus with another Cross Rhodes, but Sheamus kicks out again. Sheamus takes control of the match and tries for a Brogue Kick, but Cody ducks it and comes off the ropes with the Disaster Kick, nailing Sheamus. Cody then nails the groggy Sheamus with his father’s famous Bionic Elbow. Sheamus slumps forward, but before he even hits the ground, Cody catches him and hits him with a FOURTH Cross Rhodes…

ONE!

THRE-NO!

SHEAMUS KICKS OUT!
Shamus makes a HUGE comeback and nails Cody with White Noise, followed by second Brogue Kick!

ONE!

TWO!

THRE-NO!
CODY KICKS OUTS!

Sheamus can’t believe it, but he regains his composure and waits patiently for Cody to get back up, beating his chest to call for the Brogue Kick the whole time. When Cody finally does get back to his feet, Sheamus charges in for his THIRD Brogue Kick of the match…

DROPKICK TO THE KNEE BY CODY! CODY LOCKS SHEAMUS IN THE CLOVERLEAF!
After an epic struggle, Sheamus finally makes it to the ropes. Cody drags Sheamus towards the corner, then climbs to the top rope for his moonsault, but Sheamus takes his legs out from under him, and Cody falls, tailbone first onto the turnbuckle. Sheamus lines his back up with Cody’s and grabs Cody’s arms, then hits him with the High Cross for the closest nearfall yet!

Once again, Sheamus waits for Cody to recover, setting up for a Brogue Kick, but this time, Cody rolls onto the apron. Sheamus follows him and reaches over the ropes, pulling Cody up for the Ten Beats of the Bohdren, but Cody manages to free his arms and drops to the floor, snapping Sheamus’ neck on the top rope. Cody takes his time to recover on the floor while Sheamus recovers in the ring. When the referee’s count reaches eight and Cody finally turns around to get back into the ring, Sheamus charges at him and dives through the ropes, wiping Cody out!
Sheamus rolls Cody back into the ring and hits him with White Noise for another nearfall. Sheamus once again goes for the Brogue Kick once Cody makes it back to his feet, but Coy again ducks it, then rolls Sheamus up with an O’Connor Roll!
ONE!

TWO!

THRE-NO!

Both men scramble to their feet and they trade strikes in the center of the ring, though Sheamus’ superior size and strength allows him to get the better of it. He picks Cody up for a huge Irish Curse Backbreaker but Cody fights out of it in mid-air and hits a Silver Spoon DDT on the way down (which the announcers point out was his original finisher in the WWE). After this produces a nearfall, Cody drags Sheamus over to near the corner of the ring, then climbs to the top rope and hits his moonsault.

ONE!

TWO!

THRE-NO!

Cody wastes no time in going over to climb the turnbuckle again for another moonsault, but Sheamus just explodes upwards with fighting spirit, and when Cody has only climbed up to the second turnbuckle, Sheamus comes up behind him and grabs him in a waistlock. Sheamus tries to bring Cody over for what would essentially be a German Suplex, but Cody grabs on to the turnbuckle to try to fight it off. Eventually Sheamus manages to overpower Cody and brings him over for a bridging German Suplex, and the turnbuckle cover Cody had been clinging to flies off over their heads. The referee counts the pin, which is only a nearfall.
The referee spots the turnbuckle pad, and, remembering what had happened in the opener, goes to put it back on the turnbuckle. While Sheamus gets to his feet and sets Cody up for the High Cross. Cody, feeling himself being lifted off the ground by his waist, does the only thing he can do to stop Sheamus from lifting him up at this point: He swings his arm up and nails Sheamus in the groin. CROSS RHODES!
The referee turns around and counts the pin:
ONE!

TWO!

THREE!
At a time of thirty minutes and fifteen seconds, your winner and NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, CODY RHODES!

Cody pretty much collapses in the ring as soon as he is handed the title, but manages to roll out of the ring and head up the ramp, waving to the back for his father to come out. Dusty comes out and Cody gives him a big hug, which Dusty returns. Cody keeps shouting “I DID IT, DAD!” but Dusty doesn’t quite seem to be into the celebration. He claps politely and goes through the motions, but the emotions on his face are very conflicted, a stark contrast to the jubilation on Cody’s face as he holds up the World Heavyweight Title.

Tonight’s Raw will be main evented by Daniel Bryan & Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler & Cesaro. Paul Heyman will be at tonight’s show to speak on behalf of Brock Lesnar. Both John Cena and AJ Bryan will not be at tonight’s show due to injuries.
Other WWE matches announced for this week are Evan Bourne vs. Damien Sandow on Main Event and Ryback vs. Kalisto on Superstars.

WWE.com reports about a major backstage incident before Raw between new World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes, and the former champion, Sheamus. We’ll have more info on this at the beginning of tonight’s show.

Raw: (8/18/2014)- Las Vegas, NV
Steph comes out and gives us the run-down on the Cody-Sheamus incident, complete with security camera footage from the parking lot. What happened is that when Cody got to the show, Sheamus was waiting for him in the parking lot and Brogue Kicked out the window of his car to try to get to him. Cody sped away, leaving the arena, while Sheamus ran after him, screaming angrily.
Steph has announced that Cody has gone home, unhappy over the incident, while Sheamus has been suspended indefinitely for this unacceptable behavior.
On a more positive note, she announces that like last year, the road to Night of Champions this year will feature a Beat The Clock Challenge between the various champions in WWE as well as the NXT Champion, and the winner will be allowed to handpick his or her challenger at Night of Champions. The first Beat The Clock Challenge match will feature new WWE United States Champion Sin Cara taking on his protégé Kalisto, and that match will take place right after this commercial break!

CHAMPIONS' BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE: WWE United States Champion Sin Cara vs. Kalisto-
Cara wins clean in ten minutes. They shake hands and hug after the match and walk to the back together.

Big Show cuts a backstage promo saying that he is happy that PTP finally accepted his apology for his terrible actions over the winter and he is even happier that he beat the Wyatt Family, but he know that the threat of Bray Wyatt is still very real and vows that wherever Bray and his minions try to spread their evil influence, he will be there to stop them.

THE USOS vs. THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS-
PTP cut a pre-match promo in which they say that now that their war with the Wyatts is over, they can get back to doing what they love best: makin’ millions o’ dollas. They do their dog bark, get a bunch of cheap pops and do various other babyface playing to the crowd antics.
PTP win the match clean in nine minutes, going over with their tag team finisher.

Byron Saxton interviews The Miz. He asks Miz if he has any comment on his big and rather decisive loss last night at Summer Slam to his former protégé Roman Reigns. Miz snaps and starts choking Byron. Backstage people run over and pull him off. Cole later informs us that he has been sent home.

MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
McGillicutty wins clean in seventeen minutes.

Nikki Bella cuts a promo claiming that she should be the rightful Divas Champion because if the referee hadn’t jumped in to try to stop the match, AJ wouldn’t have had time to recover and she would have continued to destroy AJ and won the title.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0 vs. MARK HENRY & CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
Airstrike win clean in fifteen minutes, pinning Christian.

Roman Reigns cuts a backstage promo in which he says that now that he has dropped the dead weight that was The Miz from getting in his way and holding him back, he will prove that he has the heart of a champion by winning his first championship in WWE.

EVAN BOURNE vs. SETH ROLLINS (w/Summer Rae)-
Summer acts like a heel valet would. She doesn’t interfere at any point, but she does yell and talk trash at Bourne (in addition to cheering Rollins on). Rollins wins clean in twelve minutes after he rolls out of the way of an Air Bourne, then hits Bourne with a Curb Stomp. Summer’s victory celebration is very excessive, and when Bourne tries to shake Rollins’ hand, Summer pulls Rollins’ hand away so she can raise his hand in victory. Rollins starts to ask her why she wouldn’t let him shake hands with Bourne, but she cuts him off by jumping into his arms and making out with him, just like last night on the Summer Slam pre-show.

JACK SWAGGER vs. DEAN AMBROSE (w/the Wyatt Family)-
Ambrose wins clean in twelve minutes, but appears to hurt his leg during the match (and Swagger working it over with the Patriot Act doesn’t help).

Ryback cuts a promo saying he will destroy that little pipsqueak Kalisto on Superstars. Evan Bourne shows up and tells Ryback not to underestimate Kalisto. Bourne also reminds Ryback that just last night he said he would beat another “little pipsqueak” Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title, but he doesn’t see any titles around Ryback’s waist.
Ryback gets angry and tries to lunge at Bourne, but Bourne easily avoids him. They repeat this sequence a few more times until Bourne manages to trick Ryback to running full-speed into a wall. Bourne laughs and runs away. Ryback gives chase but soon stops out of breath and knowing he won’t be able to catch the much quicker Bourne. Ryback lets out a primal scream of frustration.

RANDY ORTON vs. R-TRUTH-
Orton is hyper-aggressive and wins clean in about five minutes with an RKO. The announcers note that Orton seems to be much angrier than normal after his big loss to Chris Jericho last night at Summer Slam.

Paul Heyman cuts a promo in which he shows highlights of Brock Lesnar destroying John Cena at Summer Slam and assures us all that this is just a taste of what is to come now that “The Beast” Brock Lesnar has decided to make the WWE his personal playground.

ALICIA FOX vs. LAYLA EL-
Layla wins clean in six minutes

Bray Wyatt cuts a backstage promo in which he says that, in his humble opinion, when a man is humiliated, the best remedy is to strike back at the one who has humiliated you, and to strike back which such a fury that no one will ever dare humiliate you again. Byron Saxton if he is referring to the Wyatt Family’s loss last night at Summer Slam to Kane, Big Show, and the Prime Time Players. Bray responds by laughing.

The announcers tell us that they hope to have an update on the health of both AJ Bryan and John Cena by Smackdown.

Renee Young interviews Nattie about her loss to Summer Rae last night at Summer Slam. Nattie says that Summer beat her, and she’ll give Summer credit for that, but as her actions have proved, Summer still has a lot to learn about how to carry herself in the WWE.

Damien Sandow cuts a cocky promo bragging about his victory over Jack Swagger last night. He claims that when his turn comes, he will easily be able to beat Sin Cara’s time in the Beat The Clock Challenge, and to prove it, he is making an open challenge right now to anyone on the roster. Sandow nearly soils himself when his challenge is answered by KANE!
KANE vs. DAMIEN SANDOW (w/the Brain Trust)-
Kane pretty much squashes Sandow, winning clean with the chokeslam in two and a half minutes.

DANIEL BRYAN & CHRIS JERICHO vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER & ANTONIO CESARO-
Ziggler & Cesaro win clean in thirty-five minutes when Ziggler pins Jericho.

WWE.com announces that Miz has been suspended for 30 days for putting his hands on an announcer.

WWE.com also announces that Dean Ambrose will be missing some time with an ankle injury (and definitely won’t be filming a movie or anything like that).

WWE.com reports that while no official disciplinary action has been taken by WWE against Sheamus, he has been ordered not to come to tonight’s episode of Main Event. Due to the lack of official disciplinary action, new World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes has said that he will not be appearing at tonight’s show, alleging that WWE is an “unsafe working environment.” WWE General Manager Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley has told us that she hopes to have a decision ready to announce by the morning.

Main Event
: (8/20/2014)

EVAN BOURNE vs. DAMIEN SANDOW (w/the Brain Trust)-
The announcers put Sandow over as “having something to prove” after being dispatched so easily by Kane on Raw. Sandow wins clean with the Terminus in fifteen minutes. After the match, as Bourne is going to the back, Ryback assaults him and gives him multiple Shell Shocks on the stage. Ryback stands over Bourne’s body and laughs while medical personnel stretcher Bourne off.

THE BELLA TWINS vs. ROSA MENDES & PAIGE (w/Christian & The Colons)-
Bellas win clean in six minutes after Brie whips Rosa into a spear by Nikki, then Brie makes the cover for the win.

RANDY ORTON vs. ZACK RYDER-
Orton completely destroys Ryder in three minutes.

ROMAN REIGNS vs. LUKE HARPER (w/the Wyatt Family)-
Reigns wins clean in twelve minutes

WWE.com reports that Evan Bourne was seriously injured by Ryback’s assault, to the point where doctors are doubtful he will ever be to compete in the WWE again.
WWE.com also reports that WWE General Manager Stephanie McMahon has come to a decision regarding disciplinary action against Sheamus. While the Sheamus and Cody Rhodes have already been informed of the decision, an official announcement will be made tonight on Superstars.

WWE Superstars: (8/21/2014)-

The show opens with Steph coming out and making a big speech. She says that the competitors in WWE have always been given a lot of leeway in the way that they behave towards each other- MUCH more so than people in any other profession- and the reason for this has always been that letting these rivalries grow and explode has always been best for business. That’s how it’s always been in sports. The Yankees and the Red Sox. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Ohio State and Michigan. John Cena and Randy Orton. And WWE is proud to bring you the hottest rivalries ad biggest grudges in all of entertainment, all year round!
But.
There is a point that we cannot allow things to go past. There is a time when we must do what we can to cool a rivalry off, for the sake of the competitors. I have looked at the security camera footage and heard many accounts from eye-witnesses, and it is my opinion that Sheamus’ actions on Monday- waiting for Cody to pull into the arena parking lot and kicking in the window of his car to try to attack him before he even had time to get out- showed that Sheamus was dangerously out of control, and that is not acceptable in the WWE. As a result, Sheamus has been suspended in definitely.
I can certainly understand Sheamus’ anger. The referee missed a low blow at Summer Slam, and that led to Cody Rhodes ending Sheamus’ twenty-eight and a half month reign as World Heavyweight Champion. And I will personally ensure that when Sheamus is deemed fit to return to work, he will receive a rematch- but that will wait until I am sure that Sheamus can return to WWE and face Cody without becoming dangerously out of control.

Kalisto cuts a backstage promo explaining that his mentor Sin Cara won’ be at ringside with him tonight because he is staying with his good friend Evan Bourne in the hospital- but that’s okay. Kalisto will deliver some payback to Ryback on his own tonight.

KALISTO vs. RYBACK-
Ryback dominates most of the match with his power moves and wins clean in eight minutes.

RANDY ORTON vs. DARREN YOUNG (w/Titus O’Neil)-
PTP cut a pre-match promo doing their catchphrases and pushing their new merch. Randy wins clean in six minutes, dominating most of the match before finishing Darren off with an RKO.

BIG SHOW & THE USOS vs. THE WYATT FAMILY (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, & Brodus Clay)-
Heels win clean in fifteen minutes. The announcers are sure to remind us that the Usos spent some time on the shelf because of the Wyatts this spring, just like Big Show’s pal Kofi Kingston is now.
Bray doesn’t get involved very much, and when he does, it is never against Big Show. Bray pins Jimmy Uso clean in fifteen minutes after the Monster Tamer.

Tonight’s Smackdown is one you don’t want to miss! Not only will new World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes be making his first appearance on WWE TV since winning the title at Summer Slam, but his father, WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, will also be in attendance, and has asked for some time to address the crowd.
Also on tonight’s show, the Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge continues as WWE World Tag Team Champions International Airstrike 2.0 will look to best Sin Cara’s mark of 10:00 when they take on The Usos!
In addition to this, we will see matches between Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho and Christian, Roman Reigns and Titus O’Neil, a big main event Fatal 4-Way elimination match pitting Randy Orton against Tyson Kidd against Seth Rollins against Kalisto!

Later in the day, WWE.com reports that as a result of last night’s match against Ryback, Kalisto has suffered bruised ribs and will be out of action for at least a week or two. He has been replaced in tonight’s Fatal 4 Way Elimination main event by “the Swiss Superman” Antonio Cesaro.
One man who will be on tonight’s Smackdown, though, is Kalisto’s mentor, Sin Cara, who has asked for some mic time to address Ryback’s assault on his good friend Evan Bourne.

Smackdown: (8/22/2014)- Phoenix, AZ
The show opens with a video package highlighting Steph’s announcement of Sheamus’ indefinite suspension from last night’s episode of Superstars. After that, we open with Cody Rhodes coming out for the first time as World Heavyweight Champion. Cody cuts a promo talking about how all of his hard work has paid off and he has finally become the World Heavyweight Champion. (Cole indignantly points out to the viewer that Cody had to hit Sheamus with a low blow to do so).
Strangely, though, when he got backstage after winning the title, his father Dusty had already left the building. Since he won the title, his father has also not been returning any of his calls. Thankfully, though, Cody knows that his father is here tonight, and while he couldn’t find him backstage before the show, he wants to be able celebrate with his father now.
Dusty comes out, looking very conflicted. Cody notices this and launches into his whole big speech about how when he was a kid, his father always made him proud, and now he has become a world champion just like his father to make his father proud. “Aren’t you proud of me, dad?” Cody asks.
“I don’t know really know how to answer that, son” Dusty replies.
“What do you mean?”
“I am so happy that my son is the World Heavyweight Champion. I know how prestigious that title is and I know how much it means to you and how hard you’ve worked for it… but there’s a right way to do things, and a wrong way.
The American Dream has always been about hard work and picking yourself up by your bootstraps and accomplishing anything you can dream of so long as you are willing to work hard and dedicate yourself to it… but that’s not all that makes up the American Dream. The American Dream isn’t about hard work. It’s about hard HONEST work. If you cheat and steal your way to your goal, you have not lived the American Dream!
I’ve fought my wars in this ring, and I understand how things can get in the heat of battle, but son- and I’m being honest with you here because I love you- while the record books might say otherwise, in my book, you’re not really the World Heavyweight Champion until you beat Sheamus fair and square.”
Cody flies into a state of half rage and half disbelief. He starts to rant and yell. It doesn’t matter how he won the title. What matters is that all of his hard work has finally paid off and he has finally become the World Heavyweight Champion! Just like his father. He is a RHODES. He was born to be a champion! From the moment he first set foot in a ring, everyone knew he would be world champion one day. It was just a matter of time. This title was his birthright! HIS! It doesn’t matter how he got it, it just matters that his destiny has been fulfilled. He is a world champion, just like his father, and after all of the things he has done in the past few years; everything he has gone through, he has finally proved himself worthy of the family name!
Dusty just shakes his head and says “No son. You haven’t. You might be the World Heavyweight Champion, but you don’t understand what it means to be a Rhodes.” Dusty solemnly walks to the back while Cody starts screaming at Dusty that he is the champion.

We get a pre-taped promo from Sin Cara telling us how bummed out he is to be missing out on his first singles main event opportunity on Smackdown. The announcers use this to segue into talking about the Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge, noting that US Champion Sin Cara set the time to beat, ten minutes, by beating Kalisto on Raw in a strong showing for the young high-flyer.
CHAMPIONS BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE MATCH: WWE World Tag Team Champions International Airstrike 2.0 vs. The Usos-
Airstrike COMPLETELY DOMINATE the Usos, countering almost everything they do, hitting them with a bunch of cool moves, and finishing them off with each guy hitting an Uso with his flippy finisher in just 4:16. The announcers are completely stunned at this, and the Usos apparently are too, blowing off Renee’s attempt to get a reaction interview by just walking right past her with looks of complete disbelief on their faces.

Byron is backstage interviewing Steve Jones (don’t bother looking him up, I just made the name up), a local competitor who is getting a big chance tonight in the WWE. Steve is very big (like, at least 6’6, 280), but tonight he will be wrestling Big Show. Steve starts to talk about what an honor it is to face a legend like Big Show and how even a guy his size is a little intimidated by Big Show’s size, but he is quickly cut off when the Wyatt Family walk up to him. Bray puts his arm around the impressionable young man’s shoulders and whisks him away, offering to give him the secret to being successful in the WWE.

DOLPH ZIGGLER vs. JACK SWAGGER-
The announcers remind us of their big on-and-off rivalry and of how Swagger has never beaten Dolph before. Dolph wins this one as well, pinning Swagger cleanly in twelve minutes after a Zig Zag.

Sin Cara cuts an angry backstage promo saying that he wants to get revenge on Ryback for seriously injuring his good friend Evan Bourne and for beating up his protégé Kalisto.

Kane cuts a backstage promo saying that he wants to win the IC Title from Sandow, whom he obliterated on Raw.

The announcers give us a quick medical update on a few injured superstars. Bourne is still out for a long time. Ambrose will likely be out for a few more weeks. As for Cena and AJ, things haven’t really changed since Raw, but WWE will be sure to let us know via the WWE app as soon as they learn anything.

Renee Young interviews Cesaro about his big main event match tonight. Cesaro says that it is a big opportunity for him, but he knows he can win because he is better than Tyson Kidd, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton are put together because he is the Swiss Superman, Cesaro. Cesaro starts to say something, but quickly stops and tells Byron that’s he’s said everything he has to say.
When we cut back to the announcers, JBL notes with mild surprise that he was fully expecting Cesaro to launch into a tirade about how he’s better than everyone because he’s European and the other guys are all from North America, but he didn’t.

BIG SHOW vs. STEVE JONES-
Jones charges right down the ramp at Big Show and starts to lay some offense in, but Show mostly no-sells it and uses his size to shove Jones down. After this happens a few times, Jones gets frustrated and grabs a chair from the outside. He tries to hit Show with it, but Show punches it out of his hand, then hits Jones with a WMD and a chokeslam for the win. Show grabs the mic and says that this is proof that following Bray Wyatt’s path doesn’t lead to success.

Ryback cuts a backstage promo responding to Cara’s earlier promo. He says he could destroy a pipsqueak like Cara so easily it wouldn’t even be worth it. He wants some incentive to fight Cara… like the US Title.

ROMAN REIGNS vs. TITUS O’NEIL (w/Darren Young)-
PTP cut a pre-match promo doing their catchphrases and pushing their new merch. Roman wins clean in six minutes, pinning Titus after a spear.

CHRIS JERICHO vs. CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
Jericho wins clean in seventeen minutes, making Christian tap to the Walls of Jericho.

Sin Cara cuts a second backstage promo agreeing to put the US Title on the line so that he can get a piece of Ryback.

DANIEL BRYAN, ZACK RYDER, MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY, & EMMA vs. MARK HENRY & THE BRAIN TRUST-
The announcers point out that it must be weird for Dragon to team with a woman who isn’t AJ, and use this as an excuse to talk about AJ’s injury, her match with Nikki at Summer Slam, and when she might return. The heels win the match clean in about eight minutes when Sandow pins Ryder with the You’re Welcome.

FATAL 4 WAY ELIMINATION MATCH: Randy Orton vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya) vs. Seth Rollins (w/Summer Rae)-
During this match, we are told that the Cara vs. Ryback US Title match has been made official and has been signed for Raw.
Summer trash talks Nattie on the outside occasionally, bragging about having beaten Nattie on a huge stage like Summer Slam.
Orton dominates large chunks of the match. The first person eliminated is Tyson, who gets pinned by Orton after an RKO about twelve minutes in. Summer makes taunting faces at Nattie as she helps Tyson up the ramp. Summer is nowhere near as jovial for the second elimination a few minutes later, which is Orton pinning her man Seth Rollins after an RKO. She spends quite a while yelling at both Orton and the referee, though Orton completely ignores her and the referee manages to mostly do so, until Seth Rollins, still selling the RKO, grabs Summer by the arm and pulls her up the ramp and through the curtain.
The final elimination comes at about the twenty minute mark, with Orton pinning Cesaro after an RKO. After the match, Randy grabs a mic and declares that his recent string of dominant wins have shown the world that he is the most dangerous man in the WWE.

WWE.com hypes up a few important points for tonight’s Raw. First and foremost is Sin Cara’s US Title defense against Ryback. We will also see Randy Orton take on Jack Swagger, and we will see former world tag team championship partners collide in our main event as Chris Jericho takes on Big Show.
But that’s not all! We will also have updates on the health of both John Cena and WWE Divas Champion AJ Bryan, we will hear Intercontinental Champion Damien Sandow’s response to Kane’s challenge, and despite blowing her off after their shockingly quick loss last week, the Usos have agreed to grant Renee Young an exclusive interview with them tonight on Raw!

One WWE Superstar who finds himself at the beginning of what could be a very important week is Heath Slater, who will be facing IC Champion Damien Sandow on Raw and World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes on Main Event. While both matches are non-title, a win in either match would certainly earn Heath a title shot down the road.

WWE.com announces the rest of the Champions Beat The Clock Challenge matches and schedule:
Tonight on Raw- World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Dolph Ziggler
This Friday on Smackdown- WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Jericho
Next Monday on Raw- NXT Champion Sami Zayn vs. Randy Orton
Next Friday on Smackdown: WWE Intercontinental Champion Damien Sandow vs. Roman Reigns
The Champion who wins the Beat The Clock Challenge will be allowed to pick his challenger at Night of Champions. The current leaders are WWE World Tag Team Champions International Airstrike 2.0, with a time of 4:16.
WWE Divas Champion AJ Bryan’s match had originally been scheduled for next week’s Raw, but will be rescheduled once we have an update on her health.

Other WWE matches for this week include:
R-Truth vs. Michael McGillicutty on Main Event
WWE World Tag Team Champion Justin Gabriel vs. Zack Ryder
WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro on Superstars
Kane & Big Show vs. David Otunga & Luke Harper for Superstars

Raw: (8/25/2014)- Anaheim, CA

RANDY ORTON vs. JACK SWAGGER-
Orton dominates the match, winning cleanly in just seven minutes, which the announcers note is an amazingly quick time in which to beat an athlete the caliber of Jack Swagger, an outstanding amateur wrestler a former holder of many title, and a man who took our current WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan to the limit for thirty minutes less than two months ago at MITB.
Orton once again gets on the mic and cuts a promo claiming that he is the most dangerous man in the WWE… but he is jumped from behind by BROCK LESNAR! Brock beats the crap out of Orton, ending it with an F-5 that sends Randy’s arm hard into the ringpost. Brock walks away laughing, and medical personal come out to help Orton to the back, his arm clearly hurt.

Bray Wyatt cuts a backstage promo in which he talks about the nature of monsters. He says that the nature of a monster is that it imposes its will on people, like the strong impose their wills on the weak. He says that in order to control your inner monster, you most first let it out, and only then can you learn how to become stronger than it and impose your will on it, so that you can control it. He says he is always opening to helping anyone who asks, just as he has done for all of the members of his “family.”

Daniel Bryan announces that his wife AJ’s ribs are healing up well and that the doctors have okayed her to be back on the road starting next week!

HEATH SLATER vs. DAMIEN SANDOW (w/the Brain Trust)-
Sandow wins clean in three minutes with the Terminus. After the match, Sandow cuts a promo claiming that he wasn’t ready for their match last week on Raw when Kane beat him so the win shouldn’t count and Kane shouldn’t get a title shot. Steph comes out and announces it will happen this Friday on Smackdown.
She also announces that as a result of Daniel Bryan’s announcement about AJ earlier, she can now get to scheduling AJ’s Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge match, which will take place next week on Main Event. Brie Bella comes out and says that she wants the chance to test herself against AJ in AJ’s first match back, so Steph books Brie as AJ’s opponent.

TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart) vs. ADRIAN NEVILLE (w/Justin Gabriel)-
Neville wins clean in eighteen minutes after the Red Arrow.

Renee Young interviews the Usos. They apologize for blowing her off last week, and say that they will answer any questions she has, but after that, they have a big announcement to make.
Renee asks them about their shockingly quick four minute defeat to International Airstrike 2.0 last week. The Usos simply say that they don’t know what went wrong. They says that they have talked it over a lot over the weekend, and have decided to split up. They say they are still brothers and still each other’s best friend, but at the moment, it seems that something isn’t clicking with them, so they will both try their hands as singles wrestlers for the foreseeable future. They thank the fans who have supported them as a tag team over the years, and hope that the fans will give them that same support in their singles careers.

EMMA vs. NAOMI (w/the Brain Trust) vs. NIKKI BELLA (w/Brie Bella)-
Nikki wins clean in eight minutes, pinning Naomi after a spear.

The announcers tell us that John Cena will return to the WWE next week on Raw!

THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. MARK HENRY & CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
PTP win clean in fifteen minutes, pinning Christian after their finisher (which Wikipedia tells me is the backbreaker/diving elbow drop). After the match, they get on the mic and tell us that the new name of that move is the Prime Time Play… and they have a cool new “Prime Time Players Prime Time Play” t-shirt, too, which all of their fans should totally buy! Millions o’ Dollas!

Ryback cuts a backstage promo referencing Bray’s promo earlier. Ryback says that he is a monster, and he will impose his will on anyone smaller than him… and tonight, that means taking the US Title from Sin Cara. Kane comes up to Ryback and gives him the following warning: “You don’t want to start getting involved with monsters. I promise you that.” They have a tense staredown, but no violence occurs.

ANTONIO CESARO vs. SETH ROLLINS (w/Summer Rae)-
Rollins wins clean in twenty-five minutes. Summer cheers him on and makes fun of Cesaro for losing.

R-Truth cuts a promo to hype up his match with Michael McGillicutty on Main Event.

WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH: Sin Cara(c) vs. Ryback-
Ryback uses his power to dominate most of the match. Kane comes out to do commentary. The announcers ask him what his warning was about. Kane says that Ryback understands it. He also says he thinks Ryback might be falling under Bray’s influence.
Cara makes a short comeback, but Ryback cuts him off by catching him when he goes for a plancha and bodyslamming him in the floor. Ryback, being cocky, picks Cara up for the Shell Shock and starts to march him around the outside of the ring. He stops by the commentary booth to jaw-jack with Kane, but this allows Cara to squirm free and dive back into the ring just before the count of ten for a count-out win. Ryback gets angry and tries to attack Cara, but Kane makes the save.

ROMAN REIGNS vs. PRIMO COLON (w/Rosa Mendes & Epico Colon)-
Reigns wins clean in eight minutes when he counters a sunset flip by sitting down on it and gets the pin (the Bret-Davey Boy finish). The ref raises his hand, but the angry Primo attacks him from behind. Reigns tries to fight back, but Epico jumps in, and the Colons put the boots to Roman until Daniel Bryan runs out with a steel chair to make the save.

Michael McGillicutty cuts a promo to hype up his match with R-Truth on Main Event.

CHAMPIONS BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE: World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Dolph Ziggler-
They wrestle for about a minute or two with neither guy able to get the advantage. Then Sheamus comes out through the crowd and tries to attack Cody. Cody sees him coming and runs away. Sheamus gives chase (Dolph winds up with the victory by count-out) and out cameras catch up with them in the parking lot as Cody dashes to his car and speeds away. Security swarms Sheamus and he is led away

When we come back from a commercial break, the announcers give us a recap of this whole deal. They also tell us that Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns vs. The Colons has been signed for Wednesday’s episode of Main Event.

CHRIS JERICHO vs. THE BIG SHOW-
Jericho wins clean in twenty minutes with the Codebreaker.

WWE.com reports that Randy Orton suffered an injury to his arm at the hands of an unprovoked assault by Brock Lesnar last night on Raw, and will be out of action. WWE officials are currently looking over potential wrestlers to replace Orton in his scheduled Beat The Clock Challenge against NXT Champion Sami Zayn next week on Raw.
In other Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge news, WWE General Manager Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley announced today that if Kane should win the Intercontinental Title from Damien Sandow on Smackdown, he will still face Roman Reigns in the Champions’ Beat The Clock next Friday on Smackdown.

Signed for Superstars, we also have Divas action, featuring Summer Rae & The Bella Twins vs. Layla, Paige, & Nattie.

Main Event: (8/27/2014)
The announcers open the show by telling us about a Tweet sent out by Paul Heyman telling us that he would be at Smackdown this week to explain Brock Lesnar’s assault on Randy Orton on Raw.

CODY RHODES vs. HEATH SLATER-
When Cody’s music plays, he doesn’t come out. Instead, his lawyer comes out and reads a statement saying that Cody refuses to wrestle in WWE because WWE has shown itself to be an unsafe working environment by failing to prevent Sheamus, who is currently indefinitely suspended, from trying to assault Cody on Raw. He will not return to work unless WWE can absolutely 100% guarantee his safety from this vile monster, Sheamus.
Heath hears this and declares himself winner by forfeit and thus the #1 contender to Cody’s World Heavyweight Title.

JUSTIN GABRIEL (w/Adrian Neville) vs. ZACK RYDER-
Gabriel wins clean in four minutes with the 450 Splash.

R-TRUTH vs. MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY-
McGillicutty wins clean in six minutes with the McGillicutter.

The Bellas cut a backstage promo hyping up their match on Superstars tomorrow night… or at least they start to, but Nikki interrupts Brie and tells her that going to Steph and asking to be AJ’s opponent in the Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge “was totally not cool, Brie! You I know that I deserve a shot at the Divas Title, so I should get to wrestle AJ first!
Brie tells Nikki that she wasn’t trying to undercut her. She was trying to help her. She says she has a plan. Nikki is intrigued, but Brie tells her that she won’t say it in front of the camera.

DANIEL BRYAN & ROMAN REIGNS vs. THE COLONS (w/Rosa Mendes)-
Reigns is the babyface in peril and takes a lot of punishment before eventually making the hot tag. Bryan runs wild, but the Colons cut him off via an eye-rake and go to set up a double reverse Samoan Drop (their Matadores finisher), but Reigns breaks it up by spearing the non-legal partner, allowing Bryan to slip free and lock the legal man in a Yes Lock to make him tap. Total time should be about twenty-two minutes.
After the match, Daniel Bryan puts Roman Reigns over for having the heart of a champion and says that he thinks Reigns might just win that first bit of WWE gold very soon if he keeps fighting like he did tonight.

WWE.com announces that Justin Gabriel and Naomi will not be at tonight’s Superstars or tomorrow’s Smackdown because they are doing important publicity work for WWE.

Superstars
: (8/28/2014)
BIG SHOW & KANE vs. DAVID OTUNGA & LUKE HARPER (w/Damien Sandow & the Wyatt Family)-
Ryback is on commentary, putting over Bray and trashing both Kane and Big Show as not being mean enough. He says they are supposed to be giants, but they act like little wimps, afraid to really use their size to impose their will on others.
The babyfaces win in eight minutes when Kane pins Otunga after a chokeslam. Kane and Big Show wind up jaw-jacking with all of the heels on the outside, which allows Ryback to jump Kane from behind. Big Show moves to protect Kane, but both the Wyatts and the Brain Trust move in to beat down the babyfaces. After a minute or two, Kofi Kingston makes his big return from injury to make the save, swinging a steel chair like a wild man, connecting with some good shots to Brodus, Harper, Ryback, and Otunga before all of the heels scatter.

THE BELLA TWINS & SUMMER RAE vs. LAYLA EL, EMMA, & NATALYA NEIDHART (w/Tyson Kidd)-
Nattie clearly wants a piece of Summer, but Summer only tags in when Nattie is down. Heels win cleanly in seven minutes when Brie whips Nattie into a spear by Nikki and Nikki gets the pin.

Steph cuts a promo from office saying that she understands Cody Rhodes’ position, and she will be having a video conference with Sheamus live on Smackdown to explicitly explain the terms of his suspension. She hopes that Cody will find these terms acceptable and will return to work on Raw.

DANIEL BRYAN vs. ANTONIO CESARO-
Dragon wins clean in seventeen minutes, making Cesaro tap clean to the Yes Lock.

We have a few big matches announced for Smackdown tonight. First, coming out of last night’s episode of Superstars, we will see Bray Wyatt team with Ryback to take on Big Show and the returning Kofi Kingston. We will also see the beginning of the singles careers of the Jimmy and Jey Uso, with Jey taking on Zack Ryder and Jimmy taking on Seth Rollins. Tyson Kidd will face Roman Reigns, Mark Henry, R-Truth, & the Colons will team up for face the Prime Time Players, Michael McGillicutty, & Jack Swagger, and in Divas action, Emma will take on Paige… and that is all in addition to our two previously announced matches, which are Daniel Bryan facing Chris Jericho in the Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge, and Damien Sandow defending the Intercontinental Title against Kane!
In addition to all of this we will have a live video conference between WWE General Manager Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and suspended former World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, Sin Cara has a major announcement regarding his defense of the United States Title at Night if Champions… and PAUL HEYMAN will be in attendance to explain the reason behind his client, “the Beast” Brock Lesnar’s assault on Randy Orton on Raw!

Smackdown: (8/29/2014)- Seattle, WA
Sin Cara comes out and talks about his Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge match with his protégé Kalisto on last week’s Raw. He puts over the great showing Kalisto had and says that it got him thinking of a great Lucha Libre tradition in his homeland of Mexico, where special tournaments or series of matches are signed specifically for up-and-coming wrestlers to really show their stuff and prove that they can move up the ranks. Now that he knows he will be the US Champion going into Night of Champions and now that his Beat The Clock time has been beaten, meaning he will not get to handpick a challenger, he went to Steph and pitched an idea: The Young Lions Showcase. It will be a series of matches where up-and-coming wrestlers or wrestlers can get the spotlight to show the WWE Universe what they have, and at the end of a few weeks, the WWE Universe will vote on which wrestler has impressed them the most, and the wrestler who wins the vote will receive a shot at the US Title at Night of Champions!
The announcers put this over as a really nifty idea, and tell us that more information will be available on WWE.com over the weekend, with the full list of Young Lions being announced Monday on Raw!

EMMA vs. PAIGE (w/Christian)-
Paige wins clean in six minutes, making Emma tap to the Stretch Muffler.

Steph video conference with Sheamus. She says she understands his actions, but tells him that he is still suspended, and if he shows up before she decides his suspension is up, she will have no choice but to fire him, and then he will never get his rematch. Sheamus says that he understands, and the call ends.
As Steph starts to wrap things up and hype up the rest of the show, Nikki Bella comes out to the ring. Nikki asks Steph for a Divas Title match, claiming that she would have won the title at Summer Slam if the doctors hadn’t rushed in to check on AJ, giving her time to recover. Steph says that she’s not so sure if she agrees with Nikki’s logic, but Nikki does have a bit of a point and she has been winning her matches since then so she will grant Nikki the first shot at the Divas Title when AJ comes back. Nikki wants it on Superstars next week, but Steph says that before she came out here, she just finalized the card for next week’s Superstars (which, by the way, includes your sister Brie facing Summer Rae). She offers to give Nikki the title shot on Smackdown instead, and Nikki accepts.

JEY USO vs. ZACK RYDER-
Jey wins clean in six minutes, pinning Ryder after a superkick and a big splash from the top. The announcers put this over a good start for Jey’s singles career.
Renee Young gets a reaction interview from Jey backstage. He is happy about his win. Jimmy Uso comes up to him and congratulates him on his win. Jey wishes Jimmy good luck in his match against Seth Rollins which is right now. They hug and go their separate ways, Jey towards the lockerroom and Jimmy towards Gorilla.

JIMMY USO vs. SETH ROLLINS (w/Summer Rae)-
Rollins wins clean in nine minutes when he avoids a big splash from the top and hits Jimmy with a Curb Stomp. Summer cheers loudly for Rollins and boos Jimmy. She also taunts him after the match.

Heath Slater cuts a promo saying that he beat Cody Rhodes by forfeit on Main Event so HE should be the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title.

CHAMPIONS’ BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE MATCH: WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Jericho-
They go to a draw because they only have four minutes and sixteen seconds. The announcers put over that it’s impossible to beat someone fairly in that time, especially a champion in the WWE. They want more time, but Steph tells them they can’t have it because they need the time for the main event, but she promises to revisit the match again as soon as possible.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Damien Sandow(c) (w/David Otunga) vs. Kane-
Kane dominates until Otunga’s shenanigans cause a ref bump. Kane still dominates, but then Ryback comes out and attacks him. Ryback hits the Shell Shock on Kane and drags Sandow on top of him, then reawakens the referee, who counts the pinfall.

Paul Heyman comes out to the ring and cuts a promo on Orton. Paul says that if there is one thing he hates more than anything else in the world, it is a liar. Paul says that Orton had claimed to be the “most dangerous man in the WWE,” and this was a lie… and the only person who hates liars more than Heyman himself is “the Beast” Brock Lesnar, so a few days ago on Raw, Brock Lesnar decided to expose Orton as the liar he is by showing everyone- most importantly Orton himself- that the real “most dangerous man in the WWE” is “THE BEAST” BBRRROOCCKKK LLEESSSNNNAAAARRRRRR.

KOFI KINGSTON & BIG SHOW vs. RYBACK & BRAY WYATT (w/the Wyatt Family)-
Ryback seems content to let Bray call the shots for their team, which the announcers note is very uncharacteristic. Bray is never in the ring with Big Show unless it is during the heat. Big Show eventually makes the hot tag, but then Kofi gets cut off and the heels get heat on him. When Kofi manages to make the hot tag, Show comes in and is about to nail Bray, but the Wyatts run in and cause a DQ. Kane comes out with a chair to make the save for the babyfaces.

MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY, THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS, & JACK SWAGGER vs. MARK HENRY, R-TRUTH, & THE COLONS (w/Rosa Mendes)-
Babyfaces win clean in ten minutes when PTP pin Truth with the Prime Time Play. They cut their standard catchphrase-filled, merch-plugging promo after the match.

Dolph Ziggler comes out and claims that he should be the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title. He has a pinfall victory over Cody from right before Summer Slam and he just beat Cody by count-out on Raw. Adrian Neville comes out and points out that he pinned Dolph at Summer Slam. He challenges Dolph to a match on Raw to see which one of them really deserves to be the #1 contender. Dolph accepts.

ROMAN REIGNS vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Reigns wins clean in twenty minutes, pinning Tyson after a spear. After the match, Reigns cuts a promo saying that he will use this Young Lions Showcase as an opportunity to prove to everyone that he has what it takes to be a champion in the WWE. Cesaro comes out and says that he has already been a champion in the WWE, but he wants to get back to the top, and Reigns looks like the front-runner right now, so Cesaro wants to cut his momentum off entirely by beating him in three days live on Raw! Reigns accepts the challenge.

After the show, Dragon and Jericho come out and ask Steph if, now that the Smackdown taping proper is over, can they wrestle each other, right here, right now, just for the amazing fans in Seattle? Steph says okay, but before they can even start, Dolph Ziggler and Christian come out and attack them for a double DQ. They cut a promo calling them glory hounds and accuse them of sucking up to the fans. Why would you wrestle after the show is over? And especially here in this dump? They say that they were hoping to get out of this crap-hole city as quickly as possible, but these two made them so sick that they just had to rain on their parade before leaving. Steph comes out and tells them that because of their actions, she is booking them against Dragon and Jericho in a tag team match right now… and if Christian and Dolph get DQed or counted out, they will be fired!

DARK MATCH: Christian & Dolph Ziggler Daniel Bryan & Chris Jericho-
Babyfaces win clean in however long they want to go when Dragon makes Christian tap clean to the Yes Lock. If the match is good, it will get uploaded onto the WWE Network over the weekend.

WWE.com publishes the full list of Young Lions Showcase wrestlers who will have the opportunity to earn the WWE Universe’s votes to earn a shot at the US Title at Night of Champions:
Seth Rollins
Kalisto
Jimmy Uso
Jey Uso
Michael McGillicutty
Antonio Cesaro
Bray Wyatt
Luke Harper
Brodus Clay
Roman Reigns
David Otunga
And NXT standout Big E. Langston.
The voting will take place on WWE.com and will end on Monday, September 15th, right before Raw goes on the air.

Over the weekend, WWE announces that a replacement opponent for Randy Orton in NXT Champion Sami Zayn’s Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge has been found: Kofi Kingston! That match will take place this Monday night on Raw!

Also hyped up for Raw is Reigns vs. Cesaro, Ziggler vs. Neville, AJ’s return to TV, Cena’s return to TV, and the return to TV of World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes, who has apparently accepted Stephanie’s disciplining of Sheamus as sufficient to convince him not to file suit against WWE for being an unsafe working environment.

Raw: (9/1/2014)- Des Moines, IA
The show opens with Daniel and AJ Bryan coming out to the ring. AJ cuts a promo talking about how happy she is to be back in front of the WWE and promises to kick Brie’s butt even before the time limit expires in her Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge match this week on Main Event.
Seth Rollins comes out and says that he doesn’t mean to be disrespectful, but just like AJ and Dragon had a dream to be champions together, he, too, has had a dream. He grew up here in Iowa, and just like every little boy around the world, he has always dreamed of winning the WWE Title here in his home! He points out that he has won most of his matches recently, and asks if Dragon would be willing to put the title on the line here tonight.
Bryan agrees to put the title on the line. Steph comes out and reminds them that SHE is the one who sanctions title matches in the WWE, but if Bryan wants to defend his title here tonight for the great WWE fans in Des Moines, she sees no reason why he can’t, so she makes the match officials and makes it tonight’s main event.

Renee Young interviews Jimmy Uso backstage. She asks him how he feels about having lost in his first match as a singles wrestler while his brother Jey won. Jimmy says he is glad that Jey won, but it doesn’t matter to him. He is focused on himself. He’s competing with everyone else on the roster, not just with Jey. It doesn’t matter that Jey won. It just matters that Jimmy lost, which makes winning tonight’s match extra important for him.
Renee then asks him how he feels about wrestling NXT standout Big E. Langston. Jimmy says he has seen some of Big E’s matches on NXT on the WWE Network, but you never really know what a guy can do until you’ve been in the ring with him, so while he has a game plan, he is also ready for any surprises Big E. might have.

MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY vs. DAVID OTUNGA (w/the Brain Trust)-
The announcers put over the Young Lions Showcase, which both of these men are a part of. They also use this time to put over Otunga’s stablemate Damien Sandow’s Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge match, which will take place this Friday night on Smackdown and will be against Roman Reigns.
McGillicutty wins clean in six minutes after hitting Otunga with the McGillicutter.

Bray Wyatt cuts a promo in which he says it is nice that he, Harper, and Brodus were included in the Young Lions Showcase because it would be quite nice to have one of those precious championships… but they’re in-ring skills are the last important thing they have to show to the WWE Universe. Instead, they will use the Young Lions Showcase to show the success that comes to those who follow his message and come to him to help harness their inner monster. If he needs to make an impression on the WWE Universe to do so, well… the Wyatt Family will make quite the impression tonight. (*Evil laugh*)

Steph comes out and calls out Dolph Ziggler and Adrian Neville. She says that she likes their idea of facing off for #1 contedership to the World Heavyweight Title, but she’d like to up the ante a bit: She suggests that if Dolph wins, she will let Dolph choose a WWE Superstar to face Justin Gabriel, and if that Superstar wins, then he and Dolph will earn a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Titles! Both wrestlers accept the stip, so we get the…
MATCH WITH IMPORTANT TITLE IMPLICATIONS: Adrian Neville vs. Dolph Zigger-
Ziggler wins clean in twenty minutes.

After that match we go to a commercial, and when we come back, Heath Slater is in the ring, with a mic. Heath says that he’s not happy with Adrian Neville, Dolph Ziggler and Steph trying to putting together that #1 contendership match because HE, Heath Slater, is the real #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title by virtue of his forfeit victory over the champ last week on Main Event, so before anyone else tries to cut in front of him, he’s is challenging Cody Rhodes to defend the World Heavyweight Title against him right here, right now!
Cody does indeed come out, and while it is clear he thinks Heath is a complete and total joke, he plays along, and agrees to defend the title… if that’s okay with Steph, of course. Steph comes out and says that if the fans want to see it and if it will shut Heath up about this forfeit victory that occurred because Cody was on strike, then yes, she will sanction the match.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Cody Rhodes(c) vs. Heath Slater-
Cody wins clean in three minutes, dominating most of the match, aside from a quick flurry by Heath and flash pin for a nearfall.
After the match, Cody calls Steph back out and tells her that he endorses Ziggler as #1 contender… but, because he just defended the title, he doesn’t have to defend it for another thirty days, which would be October 1st on Main Event so he and Dolph should have their match then. After that his next defense will be on October 31st and MAYBE Sheamus can have his rematch then, but he doesn’t think that would be a long enough suspension, so Steph will have to find-
“WHOA WHOA WHOA!” Steph interrupts him and tells him that one title defense every 30 days is a minimum, not a maximum. SHE will decide when Cody defends his title, and EVERY championship in the WWE will be in the line at Night of Champions, including the World Heavyweight Title. Maybe that’s when Dolph will get his title shot… or maybe it will be sooner than that. She hasn’t made up her mind yet. And as for Sheamus, SHE will determine how long his suspension will be and when he will get his rematch. Not Cody.

NXT Champion Sami Zayn cuts a backstage promo hyping up his Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge match tonight and explaining that if he wins the Beat The Clock Challenge, he’ll be able to handpick his challenger at the NXT Night of Champions special that takes place the Wednesday before Night of Champions, live on the WWE Network. He thanks Steph for giving him this big opportunity to wrestle on the main roster and especially against an established star like Kofi Kingston.

BIG E. LANGSTON vs. JIMMY USO-
The story of the match is that Jimmy plays hit and run with his kicks. Whenever Big E. gets his hands on Jimmy he manages to hit a big power move, tossing Jimmy impressively far across the ring to showcase his power and strength, but Jimmy is always able to roll to the outside before Big E. can get over to him to follow up. Jimmy Uso eventually picks up the win in nine minutes after a big superkick which sends Big E. down to his knees, then a second big superkick to follow up on it, which puts Big E. out. The announcers put over the Young Lions Showcase, and put over both men; Jimmy for defeating a bigger, stronger opponent, and Big E. for lasting so long against in his first main roster match against a star like Jimmy Uso.

Seth Rollins cuts a backstage promo hyping up his WWE Title match in tonight’s main event. Summer Rae tells him the she will be out there cheering for him.

John Cena cuts his big return promo after getting his ass kicked by Brock Lesnar at Summer Slam. John says that at Summer Slam he set out to defend the honor of the WWE… and he failed. He lost. So he is going to get back up and work harder than he did before and spend more time studying tapes and he is going to make sure that the next time he faces Brock Lesnar, he won’t fail, because he WILL NOT let someone like Brock Lesnar treat the WWE like his personal playground.

CHAMPIONS’ BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE MATCH: NXT Champion Sami Zayn vs. Kofi Kingston-
The announcers plug the NXT Night of Champions, which will be on the Wednesday before the PPV. The match goes to the short 4:16 time limit. Both men shake hands before and after the match. After the match is over, Ryback and the Wyatt Family (including NXT’s Erick Rowan) attack both men. Kane, Big Show, & the Prime Time Players come out to make the save, and everyone brawls away through the crowd, leaving Sami Zayn alone in the ring… at which point RUSEV shows up and attacks Sami (the announcers inform us that Rusev is a top prospect from NXT whose manager, Lana, has been lobbying for him to get a shot at Sami’s title.

Renee Young interviews Chris Jericho to hype up his match with Cesaro this Wednesday night on Main Event. Jericho also says that he has been watching Daniel Bryan for years and would love to get the chance to have a full-length match against him, without the short time limit like their Beat The Clock Challenge match on Smackdown had.

ROMAN REIGNS vs. ANTONIO CESARO-
Reigns wins clean in sixteen minutes, pinning Cesar after a spear. The announcers put over the Young Lions Showcase.

FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH: Emma vs. Alicia Fox vs. Paige (w/Christian) vs. Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella)-
Brie joins the announcers on commentary and talks up both her Beat The Clock Challenge match against AJ on Main Event and Nikki’s Divas Title match against AJ on Smackdown. Brie says that she thinks that both of them will be able to easily defeat AJ. Nikki picks up the clean win in six minutes pinning Paige after a spear.

JEY USO vs. SIN CARA (w/Kalisto)-
Cara wins clean in twelve minutes. The announcers use this time to put over the Young Lions Showcase and tell us that just because Jey is not facing another wrestler in the Young Lions Showcase doesn’t mean that he can’t impress the WWE Universe with his performance here. In fact, a win here over the US Champion would have to guarantee him a US Title shot at some point, even if it isn’t at Night of Champions.
The announcers also use this time to tell us that Kalisto, who was injured (bruised ribs) in a match a week and a half ago on Superstars, will be returning to action this Wednesday night on Main Event, taking on one half of the WWE World Tag Team Champions, Justin Gabriel.

THE COLONS (w/Rosa Mendes) vs. JACK SWAGGER & TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya Neidhart)-
Colons win clean with their finisher in fourteen minutes pinning Swagger.

Damien Sandow cuts a backstage promo in which says that International Airstirke’s Beat The Clock time of 4:16 might seem unbeatable… but only if you’re not smart enough to come up with a game plan designed to beat that time. He promises that in his Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge match this Friday on Smackdown, he will beat Roman Reigns in less than 4:16 and give the IC Title shot at Night of Champions to the only other man in WWE who is intelligent enough to represent all of the continents: his Brain Trust tag team partner David Otunga.

WWE TITLE MATCH: Daniel Bryan(c) (w/AJ Bryan) vs. Seth Rollins (w/Summer Rae)-
Dragon wins clean in a forty minute barn-burner. Jericho is on commentary and puts both guys over. Dragon and AJ both shake Rollins’ hand afterwards, but Summer doesn’t reciprocate and instead makes angry faces at them.

WWE.com announces that Daniel Bryan will not be at tonight’s Main Event because he is doing an appearance for WWE somewhere else.

Main Event: (9/3/2014)
KALISTO (w/Sin Cara) vs. JUSTIN GABRIEL (w/Adrian Neville)-
The announcers use this time to put over the Young Lions Showcase and remind us that just because Kalisto is not facing another wrestler in the Young Lions Showcase doesn’t mean that he can’t impress the WWE Universe with his performance here. Gabriel wins clean in fifteen minutes, pinning Kalisto after a 450, but the announcers put over what a great showing this was against one half of the WWE World Tag Team Champions.

Renee Young interviews AJ Bryan. She asks AJ if she is ready for her return to the ring tonight, noting that in the past eight weeks, AJ has only wrestled two matches, but has had three trips to the hospital, all for her ribs. AJ, ever the babyface, assures Renee that she’ll be fine.
Renee asks her what psychological effect it will have that her husband, Daniel Bryan, will not be out there with her tonight because of the many public appearance commitments he has as the WWE Champion. AJ says that she is certainly saddened by it, but she won’t let it affect her performance. She knows that Daniel is here with her in spirit.
Tyson Kidd and Natalya show up and both wish AJ good luck. AJ jokes that Nattie has gone soft on the rookies, and says that when she was coming up, an attitude like Summer Rae’s never would have been tolerated. Nattie, in a much less joking manner, tells AJ that she has had to use a lot of restraint to not go find Summer and just kick her ass in a parking lot.
Nattie and Tyson again wish AJ good luck and we go a commercial. When we come back from said commercial break, it is time for the…
CHAMPIONS’ BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE: WWE Divas Champion AJ Bryan vs. Brie Bella (w/Nikki Bella)-
Those dastardly Bellas jump AJ from behind while she is making her entrance and beat the crap out of her. Brie hits her in the ribs with a wrench from under the ring, then Nikki spears AJ through the barricade.
Medical personnel come out to attend to AJ while Nikki takes the Divas Title and poses with it in the ring. As the trainers are trying to get AJ to go to the back, Brie grabs a mic and starts to goad AJ, asking her if she really wants to quit before she even has her first match back, and asking her if she is going to give up on her parents and her husband just as easily as she is giving up on her fans right now.
This angers AJ enough that she shoves the trainers away, gets into the ring, and demands that the ref start the match. Brie workers over AJ’s ribs and beats the crap out of her some more. Brie hits AJ with a curb stomp (the Super Dragon one, not the Seth Rollins one), but targeting her ribs instead of her head. She then lands a knee drop to the back and then locks in a back-mounted bearhug, forcing AJ to tap out before the time limit expires. The Bellas celebrate Brie’s victory, and before they leave, Nikki lays the Divas Title on AJ’s ribs and stomps on it hard.

We cut to commercial again, and when we come back, we are told that AJ Bryan has been taken to the hospital for x-rays. We don’t know what the status of her scheduled Divas Title defense against Nikki in two days on Smackdown will be, but we will know more tomorrow, and will have an update for you on tomorrow night’s Superstars.

CHRIS JERICHO vs. ANTONIO CESARO-
Jericho wins clean in twenty minutes. The announcers put Cesaro over for lasting so long against a legend like Chris Jericho and say that this will surely win him some votes in the eyes of the WWE Universe in the Young Lions Showcase.

On NXT, it is announced that Rusev will get the shot at Sami Zayn at NXT: Night of Champions, and also that Finn Balor, a highly touted prospect who has been wrestling in Japan for years, will debut.

Matches for tonight’s Superstars include Jimmy Uso vs. Brodus Clay, Brie Bella vs. Naomi, Bray Wyatt vs. Heath Slater, and Mark Henry vs. Chris Jericho. In addition to these matches, we will hear from Daniel and AJ Bryan on AJ’s status for her scheduled Divas Title defense tomorrow night after the despicable assault she suffered last night on Main Event at the hands of the Bella Twins. Speaking of that match, AJ’s challenger for tomorrow night, Nikki Bella, will not be at tonight’s Superstars because she has asked for the night off to train extra-hard for her title match.

Also, some matches have been signed for tomorrow’s Smackdown, including Seth Rollins vs. Jey Uso, Big E. Langston vs. Heath Slater, and Kalisto vs. Christian.

Superstars: (9/4/2014)

JIMMY USO vs. BRODUS CLAY (w/the Wyatt Family)-
Brodus wins clean in seven minutes. The announcers plug the Young Lions Showcase, which both of these wrestlers are a part of. They also remind us that we will be seeing Bray Wyatt in action later tonight against Heath Slater.

AJ & Dragon cut a promo backstage announcing that despite her injuries, AJ will still defend the Divas Title tomorrow night against Nikki Bella. AJ says apologizes to the fans for tapping out last night, and says that she will never give up on them like Brie claimed she would. Dragon tells AJ that she did the right thing by tapping out, because if she didn’t the damage would have been worse and she could have gotten more injured and would have had the title stripped from her for not being able to defend it.

BRIE BELLA vs. NAOMI (w/the Brain Trust)-
Brie wins clean in four minutes, countering Naomi’s attempted at a Figure Four Leg Lock with a small package.
Renee Young gets a reaction interview from Brie when she comes backstage. She asks Brie what she thinks Nikki’s chances are tomorrow night in her Divas Title match with AJ Bryan. Brie says she thinks Nikki will win, but is sure to point out that just in case she doesn’t, there is already another top contender waiting in the wings because Brie herself made WWE Divas Champion AJ Bryan tap out on Main Event…. Or maybe she’d even challenge Nikki if Nikki does win? Nah. Sisters don’t do that to each other. If one of us is champion, it’s like both of us are champion!

HEATH SLATER vs. BRAY WYATT (w/the Wyatt Family)-
Bray squashes Heath in one minute.

Seth Rollins is cutting a backstage promo to hype up his match against Jey Uso tomorrow night, when Tyson Kidd walks up to him. Tyson warns him: “you need to do something about Summer, because if you don’t, Nattie will.”

CHRIS JERICHO vs. MARK HENRY-
Jericho wins clean in twenty minutes.

Announced for tonight’s Smackdown: an appearance by John Cena, and a HUGE ten man tag team main event, pitting The Wyatt Family (including Erick Rowan) & Ryback against Kane, Big Show, Kofi Kingston, and the Prime Time Players.

Smackdown: (9/5/2014)- Lincoln, NE

INTERNATIONAL AIRSTRIKE 2.0, MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY, & TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya) vs. MARK HENRY, R-TRUTH, & THE COLONS (w/Rosa Mendes)-
Babyfaces win clean in elven minutes when McGillicutty pins Truth after the McGillicutter.

BIG E. LANGSTON vs. HEATH SLATER-
Big E. squashes Heath like a bug, pinning him after a huge press slam half way across the ring.

JACK SWAGGER vs. DAVID OTUNGA (w/the Brain Trust)-
Swagger makes Otunga tap clean in six minutes with the Patriot Act

Cody Rhodes cuts a backstage promo in which he first puts himself over as the World Heavyweight Champion, which he deserves as his family’s birthright, and then says that he hopes Sheamus stays suspended for a very long time, and suggests that he should have to undergo psychiatric counseling before being allowed to return to WWE.

NATALYA NEIDHART (w/Tyson Kidd) vs. LEVA BATES-
Nattie BEATS THE LIVING SH*T OUT OF HER. WWE seems to like using Leva as a jobber, so I figured why not.

JEY USO vs. SETH ROLLINS (w/Summer Rae)-
Seth wins clean in eight minutes. The announcers note that Summer’s cheering and taunting antics on the outside appear to be toned down quite a bit, and speculate that maybe Summer is taking the warning that Tyson Kidd delivered to Seth Rollins last night on Superstars seriously- especially after seeing what Nattie did to the jobber earlier. They think this will help Summer get along with the rest of the locker room better.

John Cena cuts a promo saying that on Raw, in his excitement of being back in front of the WWE Universe, he forgot when he will return to the ring. He says he’s not quite ready to go yet because Brock beat him up pretty badly, but the doctors say he should be ready to go for Night of Champions, so that will be where he starts his road to redemption.

Cesaro cuts a promo backstage about how he will impress the fans so much that they will be forced to overcome their American prejudices and vote for him so that he wins the Young Lions Showcase and gets a shot at the US Title at Night of Champions. When he is done, Dolph Ziggler comes up to Cesaro and asks him to wrestle Justin Gabriel on Raw so that if Cesaro wins, they can reform their team and challenge for the tag titles (as per the stips of Dolph’s match with Adrian Neville on Raw). Cesaro agrees.

KALISTO (w/Sin Cara) vs. CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
Cara does commentary and puts over all of the competitors in the Young Lions Showcase, saying that based on what he was seen so far, he’d be glad to defend his US Title against any of them at Night of Champions. Kalisto wins clean in eight minutes when he reverses the Kill Switch into a backslide for the pin.

Chris Jericho is in the middle of cutting a backstage promo when Byron Saxton informs him that Steph wants to see him in her office right now.
Dragon & AJ are cutting a backstage promo hyping up AJ’s Divas Title defense tonight against Nikki Bella. When AJ is done, Renee Young shows up and tells Dragon that Steph wants to see him in her office right away. We go to a commercial, with Michael Cole telling that the Divas Title match is up next!

WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH: AJ Bryan(c) vs. Nikki Bella-
The announcers wonder how healed AJ’s ribs can possibly be in just two days since that vicious attack by the Bella twins before AJ’s Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge match. Just because none of the ribs are broken doesn’t mean AJ is perfectly fine.
Nikki works over AJ’s ribs, which, it turns out, are still quite hurt. They wind up on the outside, where Nikki gives AJ a hard spear into the barricade. Nikki gets back into the ring to play to the crowd, while the referee starts to count AJ out. When the referee reaches eight, Nikki realizes what is happening and starts to go to AJ, but Brie slips in the ring behind her and grabs her wrist, raising her hand in victory. Nikki yanks her hand away, and once again heads towards AJ, but Brie’s actions slowed Nikki down enough that she couldn’t make it back out of the ring to break the count, resulting in Nikki winning by count-out, but AJ retaining the title.
The announcers speculate that Brie did this on purpose, so that Brie herself would be able to have a shot to face AJ and win the Divas Title from her.

CHAMPIONS’ BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE MATCH: Intercontinental Champion Damien Sandow (w/the Brain Trust) vs. Roman Reigns-
Despite Sandow’s boasts in his promo on Raw, it is Roman Reigns who dominates the entire match. Reigns even manages to lay Sandow out with a spear, but the 4:16 time limit expires before the ref can count the three, so the match is a draw. As a result of this, WWE World Tag Team Champions International Airstrike 2.0 will get to choose who they will defend their titles against at Night of Champions.

We go to the trainer’s room, where Renee Young is standing by with AJ Bryan, who is being examined by the trainer after once again getting her ribs worked over. Daniel Bryan bursts into the room and runs over to AJ. Dragon apologizes to AJ for once again not being there for here when she was hurt. AJ tells him that it wasn’t his fault. The boss called, so he had to go.

We cut to Steph’s office, where Steph announces that she has just signed a main event for the Night of Champions PPV, and it is one that fans have been looking forward to for years: Daniel Bryan will defend the WWE Title against Chris Jericho!

KANE, KOFI KINGSTON, BIG SHOW, & THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. RYBACK & THE WYATT FAMILY (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Brodus Clay, & Erick Rowan)-
It starts off as a wild and crazy brawl, but the referee manages to establish order and things settle down. Kofi is the babyface in peril. We get some teases of Ryback vs. Kane, but not too much physical interaction between them. Bray seems to do his best to avoid being in the ring with either Big Show or Kane. The babyfaces win clean in fifteen minutes when Kane and Big Show give Rowan a Double Chokeslam, and Big Show covers him for the pin.

Re: BRM Books Raw 1,000 and beyond

Post by Big Red Machine » Feb 3rd, '15, 23:03

For tonight’s Raw, WWE.com hypes up a bunch of matches featuring guys in the Young Lions Showcase, Cesaro vs. Justin Gabriel with a tag team title shot on the line if Cesaro wins, a Divas match between Naomi and Emma, a triple threat main event featuring #1 contender to the WWE Title Chris Jericho taking on Mark Henry and Christian, and the return of Randy Orton after the attack by Brock Lesnar two weeks ago on Raw.
AJ Bryan will not be at tonight’s Raw because of injuries she sustained at the hands of the Bella Twins.
WWE.com announces that Nattie, Tyson, Rosa, & the Bellas will not be on tonight’s Raw because they are doing publicity for Total Divas. While those Divas will also be missing Wednesday’s Main Event to do publicity for Total Divas, Tyson Kidd will be back in action on that show in a big six way match, which will feature Tyson Kidd vs. Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso vs. Michael McGillicutty vs. Big E. Langston vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Damien Sandow.

Raw: (9/8/2014)- Baltimore, MD
EPICO COLON (w/Primo Colon) vs. SETH ROLLINS (w/Summer Rae) vs. DAVID OTUNGA (w/the Brain Trust)-
The announcers plug the Young Lions Showcase. Seth wins clean in nine minutes pinning Epico. Summer’s antics are toned down from their usual, but not quite as much as they were on Smackdown.

We get a video package chronicling the past week’s developments in the AJ vs. Bella Twins feud.

We get a live promo from the still-injured Randy Orton. He says that despite what most people are expecting, he doesn’t bear any ill will towards Brock after the attack two weeks ago… but he would like a match against Brock at Night of Champions. Steph comes out and says she thinks that’s a great idea and she will contact Paul Heyman right away.

SIN CARA & KALISTO vs. THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS-
PTP cut a pre-match promo, plugging their merch and saying their catchphrases. PTP win clean in ten minutes, pinning Kalisto after the Prime Time Play. The announcers plug the Young Lions Showcase, which Cara pitched and which Kalisto is a part of. They play up the possibility of Kalisto winning the WWE Universe’s vote and challenging his mentor for the US Title at Night of Champions.

Naomi cuts a promo hyping up her match with Emma tonight, claiming that the Brain Trust has come up with the perfect strategy to defeat Emma.

IF CESARO WINS, HE AND DOLPH GET A TAG TEAM TITLE SHOT ON SMACKDOWN: Antonio Cesaro (w/Dolph Ziggler) vs. Justin Gabriel (w/Adrian Neville)-
Cesaro wins clean in thirteen minutes.

Emma cuts a backstage promo hyping up her match with Naomi tonight. She laments that it would be kind of nice to have someone in her corner to prevent interference by the Brain Trust. Heath Slater shows up and volunteers to be in her corner.

RYBACK vs. BIG E. LANGSTON-
The announcers plug the Young Lions Showcase. They have a big-guy power match. Ryback wins clean in nine minutes, but is impressed enough with Big E. to shake his hand afterwards.

We get a video package focusing on John Cena’s training for his return at Night of Champions.

JEY USO vs. BRAY WYATT (w/the Wyatt Family)-
The announcers plug the Young Lions Showcase, which both guys are a part of. Bray wins clean with the Monster Tamer in eight minutes.

Cody Rhodes comes out and says he doesn’t care who he faces at Night of Champions, whether it is Dolph Ziggler or someone else… so long as it’s not that disturbed barbarian, Sheamus. He thinks Sheamus should be banned from WWE for life!

NAOMI (w/the Brain Trust) vs. EMMA (w/Heath Slater)-
Sandow joins the announcers on commentary and brags about the Brain Trust’s genius strategy with which Naomi will defeat Emma. Cole reminds Sandow that he claimed to have a strategy to defeat Roman Reigns in four minutes on Smackdown, but instead Reigns dominated the match and would have pinned Sandow if the Beat The Clock Challenge time limit had not expired. Sandow retorts that they have no proof that Reigns would have actually pinned him for three, and also claims that Reigns attacked him before he was ready, and thus he was unable to implement his strategy.
The women wrestle evenly for about six minutes until Emma gets the advantage. David Otunga then jumps Slater on the outside, which distracts Emma, allowing Naomi to roll her up for the pin.

Renee Young interviews International Airstrike. She reminds us that they won the Champions’ Beat The Clock Challenge and thus have earned the right to choose their challengers at Night of Champions. She asks them who they will pick. They say that they have an idea in mind- one that the fans will love- but first they need to focus on their title defense this Friday on Smackdown against Dolph & Cesaro, or else they might wind up having to pick themselves as the challengers at Night of Champions.

Tensai appears to hype up next Wednesday night’s NXT Night of Champions special. In particular, he is here to hype up the debut of Finn Balor, a tremendous young athlete he met during his time in Japan, who he has been working with for the past few weeks in preparation for his NXT debut.
The Wyatt Family comes out and Bray says that he thought had gotten rid of Tensai already, but apparently not… so now the Wyatts will show the world what a true monster will do and make it permanent. The Wyatts attack Tensai, but Big Show, Kane, and Kofi make the save and brawl away… but this opens the door for Ryback to come out and assault Tensai, hitting him with the Shell Shock. Tensai is stretchered off.

JIMMY USO vs. MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY-
The announcers plug the Young Lions Showcase, which both guys are a part of. McGillicutty wins clean with a backslide in six minutes.

JACK SWAGGER vs. ROMAN REIGNS-
The announcers plug the Young Lions Showcase, which Roman Reigns is a part of. Swagger wins clean in eighteen minutes when Reigns refuses to tap to the Patriot Act, but passes out from the pain. The announcers put him over for this.

Summer Rae cuts a backstage promo bragging about Seth Rollins’ recent defeats of both Jimmy and Jey Uso as well as Epico Colon, and also her own defeat of Natalya Neidhart at Summer Slam. She says that it’s not enough to be born into a talented family. If you want to succeed in life, you have to have some actual talent yourself like she and Seth Rollins do.
Rollins shows up, grabs her by the arm and pretty much drags her away from the camera. As he pulls her down the hall, we hear him say “Summer, we talked about this!”

Michael Cole informs us that Tensai has been taken to a local hospital.

CHRIS JERICHO vs. MARK HENRY vs. CHRISTIAN (w/Paige)-
Daniel Bryan is on commentary. He gives us an update on AJ’s status (she’s doing well, but the doctor has now officially ordered her to stay at home for a few days), then hypes up his WWE Title defense against Chris Jericho at Night of Champions and talks up the mutual respect between them.
Jericho wins the match clean, blocking a Kill Switch and hitting an O’Connell Roll for the pin on Christian, but Christian and Henry jump him after the bell. Daniel Bryan grabs a steal chair and makes the save.

WWE.com announces that as a result of the aftermath of last night’s main event, a main event for Smackdown has been signed, which will pit Mark Henry & Christian against WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, and the man who will challenge Bryan for that very title at Night of Champions: Chris Jericho!
Also on Smackdown we will see a Summer Slam rematch as Dolph Ziggler & Antonio Cesaro once again challenge International Airstrike 2.0 for the WWE World Tag Team Titles.

Another match resulting from last night’s Raw has been signed, but this one is for tomorrow night’s WWE Main Event: David Otunga vs. Heath Slater.
LATE BREAKING NEWS: WWE.com has learned that Paul Heyman will be on Smackdown this week to respond to Randy Orton’s challenge for a match against Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions!

Main Event: (9/10/2014)-
DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Antonio Cesaro) vs. PRIMO COLON (w/Epico Colon)-
Dolph wins clean with the Zig Zag in seven minutes. Epico tries to jump him after the match but gets laid out with some sort of double-team move by Cesaro and Ziggler.

HEATH SLATER (w/Emma) vs. DAVID OTUNGA (w/the Brain Trust)-
The announcers plug the Young Lions Showcase, which Otunga is a part of. Otunga wins clean in four minutes with his finisher.

SIX WAY MATCH: Tyson Kidd vs. Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso vs. Michael McGillicutty vs. Big E. Langston vs. Damien Sandow (w/the Brain Trust)-
Throughout the match we tease a faceoff between the Usos, but events usually conspire to have them work as a team instead. Big E. throws the smaller guys around with ease, hitting, Jey, Jimmy, and Tyson with his very big Press Slam Toss at various points during the match, but each time he does, someone else is already right there to break it up before he can get the pin. Big E. also uses his power to block a backslide attempt by McGillicutty and even lifts him up into some Gory Stretch type of submission. McGillicutty eventually picks up the win in twenty minutes, pinning Tyson Kidd with the McGillicutter.

WWE.com announces that Naomi, Summer Rae, and the Bella Twins will not be on tonight’s Superstars because they are doing publicity for Total Divas.

Superstars: (9/11/2014)-
We open with a September 11th vide package. Then Sin Cara comes out and talks about how much he loves the USA and how proud he is to be the US Champion.
SIN CARA (w/Kalisto) vs. EPICO COLON (w/Primo Colon & Rosa Mendes)-
Cara wins clean in twelve minutes.

Kane cuts a promo vowing vengeance on Ryback for his vicious assault on Tensai.

Nattie kills a jobber, then cuts a SCATHING promo on Summer, saying that she tried to give Summer time to get it right, but now she’s pissed and says that she’s going to teach Summer to respect the veterans and those that paved the way for her the old-fashioned way: the way she watched her grandfather do in the Hart Family Dungeon.

DAVID OTUNGA (w/Damien Sandow) vs. PRIMO COLON (w/Epico Colon & Rosa Mendes)-
Otunga wins clean in six minutes.

PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. THE WYATT FAMILY (Luke Harper & Brodus Clay) (w/Bray Wyatt)-
PTP win clean in twelve minutes, pinning Brodus.

Naomi will not be on tonight’s Smackdown because she is doing publicity for Total Divas. Tyson Kidd will not be on tonight’s Smackdown because he is doing a public appearance for the WWE in Canada.

Smackdown: (9/12/2014)- Wilkes-Barre, PA
The announcers push the Young Lions Showcase hard throughout the show, reminding us that voting ends right before Raw begins on Monday.

JIMMY USO vs. JEY USO-
Lots of mirror spots and “they know each other so well” spots. They go for about nine minutes until David Otunga runs out and attacks both guys, causing a double DQ. Otunga says that this is his last chance to make an impression in the Young Lions Showcase, so he is going to make sure everyone sees him kicking the butts of all the other guys in the tournament.

MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY vs. R-TRUTH-
McGillicutty wins clean in five minutes with the McGillicutter. David Otunga attacks him and lays him out after the match.

SETH ROLLINS (w/Summer Rae) vs. DAVID OTUNGA (w/Damien Sandow)-
Summer joins the announcers on commentary, and starts to relentlessly trash Nattie, so Nattie comes out to kick her ass. Summer flees, running right into the ring so she can hide behind Seth Rollins. Nattie follows her into the ring, and the referee yells at them both to leave. Nattie charges at Rollins so the ref gets in her way, and this distraction allows Summer to get a good head starts up the ramp. Nattie chases after her, and Rollins turns to go follow them to make sure that Summer is okay, but David Otunga takes advantage of this confusion to roll Rollins up for the pin.
Rollins rushes to the back after Summer and Nattie, and a camera catches up with them in the parking lot, just in time to see Summer pull away, leaving a furious Nattie to berate Seth Rollins, who does nothing but stand there and take it, occasionally apologizing for Summer’s behavior.

Paul Heyman cuts a promo saying that Randy Orton must be insane to want to face Brock Lesnar after what Brock did to him two weeks ago, but if Randy has a death wish, Brock has told me that he will be more than happy to oblige him. Paul says he’ll have a contract ready for Orton ready to sign on Raw.

WWE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: International Airstrike 2.0(c) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Antonio Cesaro-
Airstrike retain in fifteen minutes, pinning Cesaro after both hitting their flippy finishers. Cesaro offers them handshakes after the match, much to the announcers’ surprise.

Jack Swagger cuts a backstage promo hyping up a match against Chris Jericho for next week’s Smackdown.

A JOBBER vs. TITUS O’NEILL (w/Darren Young)-
PTP do their usual pre-match schtick with catchphrases and plugging their merch. Titus squashes the jobber, pinning him after a chokeslam. He grabs a mic says that the name of this move is the “Prime Time Slam”… and t-shirts will be available soon!

ROMAN REIGNS vs. DAMIEN SANDOW (w/David Otunga)-
Just like last week’s Beat The Clock Challenge, Reigns comes out of the gate hard and heavy and takes it to Sandow. Reigns dominates for a few minutes, but then David Otunga interferes, causing a DQ. Sandow and Otunga beat Reigns down, but he makes his own comeback and spears them both.

BIG E. LANGSTON vs. KALISTO (w/Sin Cara)-
The story of this match is similar to Big E.’s match against Jimmy Uso last week on Raw. Kalisto uses his speed to perform a hit-and-run offense consisting mainly of hard kicks, keeping out of Big E.’s reach whenever possible. Whenever Big E. does manage to get his hands on Kalisto, he hits him with an impressive power move, throwing him across the ring, but by the time Big E. is able to get over to follow up, Kalisto is always able to roll out to the floor. The finish comes when Big E. finally manages to get Kalisto pinned in the corner and lands some hard punches to the stomach, then goes for a Stinger Splash, but Kalisto gets out of the way. Big E. bumps his head on the turnbuckle, and then Kalisto charges and nails him right in the head with a big dropkick (think Austin Aries’ IED), then rolls Big E. up for the win.
The announcers put over the Young Lions Showcase, which both men are a part of, and remind us that voting ends on Monday.

Cody Rhodes comes out to the ring and calls Steph out as well. He tells her that now that we know that Dolph Ziggler won’t have to defend the tag team titles at Night of Champions, there is no reason for Steph not to name him the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title. He says that Dolph isn’t prone to dangerous, irrational fits of anger like Sheamus is, and tells Steph that if she were to reinstate Sheamus and give him the World Heavyweight Title shot at Night of Champions, Sheamus would just get himself DQed and ruin her PPV because Sheamus has no respect for WWE, its wrestlers, and its authority figures. Steph says that she agrees that Dolph should be the #1 contender at Night of Champions, but she warns Cody to stop harping on this Sheamus issue. SHE will decide when Sheamus is reinstated, and Cody’s “advice” is unwelcome.
Cody walks to the back seemingly satisfied. Once he leaves, the Bellas’ music plays and Brie comes out. She tries to convince Steph to name her the #1 contender for the Divas Title at Night of Champions because she made the champion tap out last week on Main Event. Nikki comes out and starts to yell at Brie for trying to steal her title shot. Brie claims it is her turn to get a title shot because Nikki had one last week and couldn’t get the job done. Nikki retorts that she would have won the title if Brie hadn’t stopped her from getting AJ back into the ring.
They bitch and moan and whine at each other, and each try to convince Steph to give them the title shot. Steph seems fed up with their whining and is about to say something, when suddenly Lilian Garcia runs into the ring, says something to Steph and hands Steph her cell phone.
Steph informs us all that it is a text message from WWE Divas Champion AJ Bryan, who is watching at home. Steph figures that if Lilian felt this message was important enough to interrupt her, she might as well read it right here:
“’Tell Steph that if it shuts them up, then I’ll gladly defend my title against both of those b-’ WHOA! I’m not going to read that word on the air, but I think we got the important part of the message.” And I think it’s a darn good idea. At Night of Champions, AJ Bryan will defend the WWE Divas Title against BOTH Bellas in a Triple Threat match!

KANE, KOFI KINGSTON, & BIG SHOW vs. THE WYATT FAMILY-
Just as Big Show is about to get his hands on Bray, Ryback comes out and attacks the babyfaces for the DQ. The heels lay the babyfaces out, including Kane and Big Show each going through an announce table.
Ryback cuts a promo explaining that he assaulted Tensai so that he could fulfill Bray Wyatt’s will and put Tensai out for good. Ryback says he has finally been convinced that Bray’s words of wisdom is the true path to success, and submits himself to Bray as one of his disciples. Bray laughs and welcomes “brother Ryback” into his family.

MARK HENRY & CHRISTIAN (w/Paige) vs. CHRIS JERICHO & DANIEL BRYAN-
Babyfaces win clean in seventeen minutes when Dragon makes Christian tap to the Yes Lock. Dragon and Jericho worked seamlessly as a team, despite their big upcoming title match against each other.
