With ALL the new talent

Post by SONICdopeFRESH » May 29th, '15, 07:43

With all the new talent being given clock on RAW from NXT and them really storming the WRESTLING scene, what do you think is the best course of action for them???

The crowd absolutely loves the NXT guys, as they all apparently are indy scene legends or known names from ROH, so you know who they are. That being said, I think they should make SMACKDOWN relevant again. Since nothing but B list booking happens on SD now, have the NXT guys maybe takeover SD (not like invade, but just call like 5-6 of them up to work the SD shows). Then start slowly incorporating them to eventually storm RAW. Maybe bring back the RAW vs SD beef that way, but somehow you gotta make that show relevant again, and I think that's the best way. Plus it'll help draw out stardom for the guys that are already known in NXT.
Booker T: "HIP BONE CONNECTED TO THE LEG BONE!!!" ...... Cole: "WHAAAAT?"

I think that would actually be a great idea. You could use Smackdown as the sort of mixing pot like they have been doing with NXT a bit, not just to integrate the NXT guys into the main roster, but also use the guys like Zayn and Balor and Owens to try to bring the best out of underutilized guys like PTP.
It would not only make Smackdown relevant, but it would make Smackdown not actively frustrating to watch by just being a buch of pointless Raw rematches or matches that are going to happen on Raw the next week with the same result.

I agree and disagree.

I agree that Smackdown needs to be more relevant, I'm all for a soft brand split, but the thing I think Smackdown needs the most is for Triple H to take full control of it like he has on Nxt and literally go RAW vs SD backstage. What i do disagree with is the mixing pot idea, I think that some guys like Owens, Zayn, Balor, or Charlotte, need to go straight to RAW and beat the shit out of the top names, Cole needs to mark out for them showing up, and not waste time 'building them up' to the main audience, it's not like NXT is an entity that is not promoted anyways.
