I had the same feeling, but I think it has something to do with the results from Road to Best in the World 2015: Nashville, as I rememeber there being a similarly big tag match with similar names.

I actually like that they're not just rushing to the rematch. Let Jay get some wins in to build him back up first and do the rematch in Atlanta on 8/29 or Dearborn on 9/11 or at one of the ASE weekend shows.

i think i'm just missing some follow up on BITW, I didn't get anything last week, surely doubt i'll get anything this week. ROHtv was worse continuity than TNA and their PPVs :-w

I caught the end of this week's show and they were plugging the BITW replay hard and didn't spoil things in any way, but they promised they would do something with the BITW main event winner next week, so I assume that means it will be a new show. They couldn't possibly have gotten a new TV show for this week because the tapings weren't even done by the time the show would air on half of the Sinclair stations, so ROH did the best thing they could under the circumstances.

it's not really that hard to get the Jays to do a backstage promo from wherever they are, just acknowledging the win and loss, I could have been happy with that

1) Then they have to edit it into the show with less than 24 hours notice (possible less than 18, depending on when things first air and when they need to be into the TV station by)
2) If they did this, they would 't be able to plug the hell out of the replay. This is a better way to do it.

1) they're backstage promos, they could have recorded those days in advance of the PPV, or the night of the PPV. it's been two weeks, no excuse.

2) why should i pay for a PPV if they'll give out a replay for free them? if people missed it, there's VOD, don't waste TV time that you should be using on building your next show

1A) The tradition in ROH has always been that the the first show after each world title change starts with an in-ring interview of the new champ, and that has always been the champ's first promo.
1B) Except it's not two weeks. It's eight days. A lot of Sinclair stations air the show on Saturday.
2) Not a free replay! The replay of the PPV in the traditional timeslot. Like GFW had with the Tokyo Dome Show.

1) well, they need to consider that their tradition kills off storylines for new audience, they're running a TV show now, not a territorial indie. it's not 8 days, it's been 3 televised shows already. I understand missing the first since it was the day after the PPV, but we got two shows already down and no one is talking about BITW. One of those shows had matches with guys that are not even in the roster.

2) still no excuse, why screw every loyal fan that watched your show on the first run by not giving you a follow up until the replay airs?

1) It hasn't been three televised shows. It has been two: Sinclair airdate 6/20 (which is when the first TV after the PPV was being taped, so that one was impossible), and Sinclair airdate 6/27, which was this week. And I don't think it kills off storylines at all because all of the match they have shown have made sense with the post-PPV status quo and have all been AWESOME.

2) It's not screwing the fans in any way! Every is getting exactly what they paid for. So instead of totally-immediate storyline follow-up, we got TWO WEEKS FULL OF AWESOME MATCHES!

true, two, still, if TNA went two weeks without addressing ECIII's win, you'd be calling them them the worst promotion that ever existed. Hell, you were asking for them to address Young taking Melendez' leg after one week, and here we're ok with no mention of the so called 'biggest match in roh history'.
And none of the matches make sense, they all had NJPW guys, that makes no sense whatsoever storyline wise. Ask anyone who barely started watching ROH with DA and they have no idea what is going on, how is anyone going to keep heat if they don't follow up? ROH needs to realize that they're in the tv industry now

The difference is the following:
Who said that ROH didn't mention it at all?
What ROH has done here was say "this HUGE thing happened. You guys should go see it for yourselves." They acknowledged that the match happened. What TNA often does is that they won't even mention it until the show where they are following up on it with the next match.
TNA has a two-hour show that every week we are told is live. What ROH did here (and what they always do for "Road Rage" shows) is tell us that these matches were taped previously. That means that TNA (and WWE) have an obligation to follow up on these things the next week in some way (even if it is just showing a recap and telling us that X isn't here this week because he is recovering from the heinous assault by Y last week). For an example of this being done well, think NXT.

With ROH, they fully admit that they aren't showing us the next chapter because there hasn't been an opportunity for the next chapter to happen yet.
As for the New Japan matches not making sense... of course they do. They are wrestling matches on a wrestling show. Guys are trying to win.
ROH is doing nothing different now than they have been doing since they started to hit their stride on Sinclair back in 2012, and since then they have grown a lot. Look at all of the strong new markets they have developed since then: Milwaukee, Hopkins, Atlanta, Nashville, San Antonio, Columbus, Cincinnati, Baltimore.
They've run more shows in the first six months of this year than they have in the first six months of any year since 2009, and aside from the four Best in the World Tour shows (two of which were in completely new markets), they sold out for almost all of them (and one of the non-sellouts still had 1,200 people). Even including those four shows, they've drawn over 800 people (a crowd that any promotion in the world aside from WWE and New Japan would consider a huge success) for all but three of them (and one of those that they didn't was an entirely new market). And this is all BEFORE factoring in whatever growth they have gotten from Destination America. Any assertions that this company isn't growing quickly are utterly silly.
