As PWInsider.com reported earlier today, ESPN Sportscenter will be doing a Weekly segment where they look at what's going on in WWE hosted by Jonathan Coachman. WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins appeared via satellite from the Smackdown taping in Cincinnati.
The segment opened with Coachman reviewing a number of moments that took place at last night's Monday Night Raw in Chicago.
Seth Rollins appeared, complaining he wasn't mentioned in the "top moments" that were reviewed. Coach questioned him about the storyline with Kane. Rollins compared himself to Tom Brady and said that he's the man, so everyone is jealous of him. They showed a clip of Rollins knocking LeBron James from a Raw a few months back. They talked football and baseball for a bit. When talking about Chase Utley's "dirty" slide, Rollins compared it to pro wrestling but said in wrestling, while they do compete, they are also trying to protect each other.
The segment will air every Tuesday at 9 PM with different WWE personalities appearing. They did not announce who next week's guest will be.

ESPN barely covers hockey... and now they are going to cover WWE? COME THE F*CK ON!
WWE must have blackmail material on someone high up at ESPN. That's the only way this makes any sense.

Or they're lining someone's pockets to try to get their product out to a new demographicBig Red Machine wrote:ESPN barely covers hockey... and now they are going to cover WWE? COME THE F*CK ON!

I guess hadn't really considered this possibility because I figured ESPN wanted to be real sports news and thus covering WWE would make them look silly, and that they were above just plain being bought off, but it's certainly possible.Serujuunin wrote:Or they're lining someone's pockets to try to get their product out to a new demographicBig Red Machine wrote:ESPN barely covers hockey... and now they are going to cover WWE? It's still a business, and businesses are meant to make money. Which is tragically unfortunate.Big Red Machine wrote:I guess hadn't really considered this possibility because I figured ESPN wanted to be real sports news and thus covering WWE would make them look silly, and that they were above just plain being bought off, but it's certainly possible.Serujuunin wrote:Or they're lining someone's pockets to try to get their product out to a new demographicBig Red Machine wrote:ESPN barely covers hockey... and now they are going to cover WWE?
