US Title Open Challenge At HIAC Theories

Post by Big Red Machine » Oct 25th, '15, 16:36

Who answers the challenge? Does Cena keep the belt?

It seems pretty obvious that Dean is getting the title shot tonight seeing as how his tag match against the Wyatts got cancelled, and him winning would be a good idea to immediately set him in a new direction.

It's also possible that they'll have Dolph work twice tonight, and that the six-man on the pre-show is meant to swerve us into thinking it can't possibly be Dolph.

Another possibility that occurred to me is as follows:
The PPV is in LA. Raw is a relatively short jaunt away in San Diego, and we know how WWE loves to surprise people...
What if the person to accept tonight's open challenge is Rob Van Dam?

He could either win the belt and drop it the next night on TV, or as Cero suggested elsewhere, they could surprise everyone by having Cena beat RVD and keep the belt tonight and have him drop it on Raw tomorrow night (preferably to Ziggler) before he leaves.

Yeah, I was REALLY surprised about this. The only thing I can think of is that maybe AAA contracts aren't as legally sure as AAA thinks because this is the second time in just a few weeks that a major star showed up on a rival's show while still under contract to AAA.
