Jerry Jarrett, who promoted professional wrestling in Memphis for decades alongside Jerry Lawler, was tapped to run the WWF should Vince McMahon have gone to jail in the 1990s and co-founded TNA with his son Jeff Jarrett, teased on Facebook that he was going to re-enter the professional wrestling world.
"Don't you just live it when a plan comes together," Jarrett wrote on his Facebook page in what was obviously a reference to classic NBC series The A-Team. "I once stated that I would get back in the wrestling business when hell froze over. I'm feeling a chill in the air. It is a bit early to announce the plan, but the contracts are with the attorneys. If you wished for wrestling like it was, you will have a chance to tune in."
What Jarrett's potential plans are have yet to be revealed, but there are several possibilities. Jeff Jarrett has publicly noted that after years of being estranged, he and his father are on speaking terms again. It's possible the elder Jarrett will be getting involved with The Global Wrestling Federation.
It's also possible that Jarrett is coming on board with the fledgling Classic Wrestling Revolution promotion that has been planning to officially launch out of Las Vegas next year and filmed some pilot presentation material with Shane Douglas, Road Warrior Animal, Mason Ryan and the late Roddy Piper. That promotion has since quietly launched a website and Youtube page as well as trademarking the name of the company.
It's also completely possible Jarrett is going to be doing something on a smaller scale locally in Tennessee.
Time will tell but Jarrett's public admission that he's looking to get back involved in the business is certainly an interesting development.

If I remember from his Guest Booker (WCW in 2000)... I wasn't too impressed, but that might have had more to do with the exact climate at the time. I'm working on re-watching all of the Guest Bookers to give better, more uniformly-structured reviews all in one easy thread, and that one is on my list to watch soon (so far I've gotten through Cornette, Russo, Gary Hart, and Sheepherder Luke).cero2k wrote:i'm actually interested in seeing what someone with such an old school mentality can do with the crop of today
Oh. And I've decided to bite the bullet and actually get the Disco Inferno one, just out of morbid fascination.
