Okay it's lots of signs... but all of those stupid different 3:16 signs are annoying. If you're sign doesn't say "Austin 3:16" I don't want to see it (although I will allow an except for anyone whose name actually is John)

You also have to understand that during this time, the only way for an average schmuck to get in front of a large audience pre-Internet was to have a funny sign or outfit at a Raw taping.
Also Brian and Vinny do a review in which Brian mentions that the reason why audiences were always popping and wild was because they were trying to get on TV
